Chapter 6- Saturday evening

Kai sagged, exhausted. He had been training hard for three hours. He had got the last one out of Drancer and himself. He slowly returned to his normal breathing. Determined, he made his way to the bathroom. A hot shower would be good for him now.
In pain, he undressed, but clenched his teeth. He lightly touched an old scar that ran across the left half of his chest. He should be more careful. He couldn't afford too many scars, not everyone liked it. He took off his pants and boxers and looked at himself in the mirror. He was handsome, he knew that. He had a muscular body and the rest was right too. Satisfied, he took a shower. The hot water was like a massage, and Kai enjoyed the feeling and stayed in the shower for over half an hour.
When he was done he wrapped a towel around his waist and went into the kitchen.Kai had a lot of hidden talents and one of them was that he was good at cooking. So he cooked up a delicious meal in just a few minutes. Armed with a knife and fork, he sat down in front of the television. There was a report about the Japan Championchip in the Bladen which should take place in 2 weeks. He had completely forgotten that. He didn't know yet if he should take part, except for Tyson, Max and Rei there would be no halfway serious opponents. He left the television on listlessly while he ate. It was said that registration would open on Monday and everyone could take part. A few well-known bladers who wanted to participate were introduced. Tyson was there too. Kai put his dishes away and turned the television off again. He lit another cigarette and blew curls in the air, bored. It was now half past four and since Kai didn't know what to do with himself until evening, he decided to take a nap.
He made himself comfortable on the sofa, closed his eyes relaxed and took a deep breathHe dreamed the dream again. But something was different. He felt the angel's presence and his feelings. And it was precisely these feelings that scared him. He felt anger and loathing. She spread her arms and the wings appeared. But today the angel was not surrounded by a blindingly bright light. Kai woke up drenched in sweat and terrified. He didn't want to believe what he had just heard. What was all this about? He had to get out of here now. It was only 9 p.m., but he couldn't take it anymore at home.
He dressed, grabbed his blade and cigarettes, and headed for town.....
His goal was a small pub in a somewhat shabby neighborhood. He was something of a regular there. He sat down at his usual table and brushed his hair back. The waitress, Aiko immediately brought him a drink. Kai always drank the same. Vodka, with just a tiny dash of cola.
He had taken Rei here with him once, but his friend hadn't felt particularly comfortable here. So he came back alone.
Lost in thought, he stared into his glass. He was pretty confused. He hadn't harmed anyone, at least not recently. Why did he of all people have such a dream?
An angel of fire. Kai had never seen anything so beautiful that was so dangerous at the same time. He nervously lit a cigarette and stared after the smoke. What really bothered him was that he was really scared this time. A feeling that he seldom had and when then he had always successfully suppressed it. Kai was completely at a loss.Apart from waiting, he couldn't think of anything else to do. Seldom had he had such a strong wish that Rei would be here now. But he had to go to the mountains this weekend of all times.
Kai let his gaze wander and saw the few pathetic figures who were sitting in front of their stale beer. He hated her. People who had achieved nothing and had never fought for anything in their life. Parasites that relied on the luck of others. But it was because of these people that Kai loved to be here. Here he had the feeling that he was something better, that despite all the difficulties he had achieved something.
Another small ray of hope was Aiko. She was the owner's daughter and a pretty young thing. She was just 16 years old recently and she always wore her brown hair open. "No problem. I'll send Toya downstairs. He's running the business." Toya was her brother. Pretty good blader.
Kai emptied his glass, put out his butt and went upstairs with Aiko. He only got a quick look from Toya. He knew about the affair between the two. It hurt him that Kai used Aiko like that, but his sister was crazy about him and he didn't want to hurt her.

Kai and Aiko stood opposite each other in silence.Aiko smiled, slowly she walked up to Kai and started kissing him. Kai replied. You knew this game. Not more. It wasn't the first note he wrote to her, but often it didn't happen either. Otherwise she would have too high hopes and he didn't want that. Afterwards she showed up at his place and that would give him some trouble.
