Memories of a rebel

The review

It had been damn hot in Alabasta for months. The people suffered from the drought that had lasted for 3 years and there was no water. Only in the capital of Alabastas "Arbana" where the king ruled there was still some and the people could still have a chance to survive there. But we in Yuba, still in Katorea or Nanohana, could survive without water. The fields my father had grown on were dried up, as were those of the neighbors and the town's vendors. my father always believed in the king, no matter how bad it was in Yuba or how hot it was. "You have to trust him my boy" he said confidently as we both tried to save what could be saved on the field. I haven't believed in it myself for a long time. The king had "rain powder" delivered, which could have given us the rain. But there were rumors that he wasn't even in a dreamwould think of leaving it up to us. the whole thing made me quite puzzled while I had to watch how the rebels in our village had tried to attack the king, which had failed miserably. There were many injuries and I had to help out with my father to get medicine. But since there was no water, the whole situation was pretty hopeless. I decided to ride my horse to Arbana and ask the king to let it rain again. But he also told me the same thing as many others who had come to me before. "I'm sorry, my boy, but I can't do anything for you myself. Alabasta has dried up and I can't bring the rain back myself. The rain powder would make it rain, but it wouldn't last for a long time." With this answer I could settle for me or not. But I would never accept it in my life! So I tried to keep living the life in Yuba. Until one day it was enough for me and I went over to the rebels myself. We had traveled from Yuba over to Katorea and set up camp there. We made plans how to solve the problem. We weren't really into fighting. But after the incident in Nanohana with the boy who wanted to join the rebel group was injured by Kobra, my patience was over. I rode off immediately and caught him just about to confront him. i yelled at him. "What are you doing, you idiot ??! We have put all our trust in you and you ?! Attack this little boy! What are you only for a ... !!!!" But then it was already closed for me late and i was shot by the king's troops. That was clearly too much! The king couldn't do what he wanted! Since I was the leader of the rebels, I called them together and asked them to fight.
But what we didn't know was that it wasn't the king who had done this. It was the Baroque company that had stolen the rain from us and turned against each other to make things worse. We didn't know any of this and stormed blind links to Arbana and fought off. I had the impression when we were shortly before Arbana's main gate to have seen Vivi but I ignored it out of sheer anger in front of the king. We fought against the king's troops and I decided to talk to him because I actually hated fighting. So I rode off and saw the king captured. She was standing next to it. Vivi. I quickly figured out the situation and after a brief explanation I knew what was going on. I learned from Vivi that the 'gante town square and 5 kilometers further everything would turn to ashes if we didn't prevent it that at least the rebels and the king's troops could get away quickly there. I wanted to storm off to warn the people but Vivi held me back. "Stop! Do you want everyone to panic ??! You have to whistle back the rebels! Only you can do Das Corsa!" she said and looked at me pleadingly. I knew them well. We hadn't seen each other for a long time, but I knew how worried she was for her country and would do anything to save it.I nodded and picked up the white flag. "Stop fighting, rebels! I've negotiated with the king!" I stood on large pedestals with a few of the king's people. my sword on my back and ready to give my life for this land. They put down their guns for a moment. But then a hidden Baroque company agent shot me and I fell into the void. The rebels were upset. Who dared to shoot me ?! Soon after, they were just fighting wildly again. i was badly injured before the fight anyway. I gasped softly and said "Stop it ... you have to listen to me" but it was way too quiet as if I could have heard someone. I didn't know what was going on with Vivi. She was probably going to save the rest of the alabasta. Suddenly Vivi screamed at the people and I looked up weakly. I saw everything blurry but I heard her clear voice saying that they had all been betrayed and that it was a devious plot of crocodiles. They stopped and put down their guns. The bomb that was in the clock tower of the church was dispelled and the war was over. A friend helped me up to sit and I talked to the king. We started all over again. Vivi came running straight towards me from the dream. I smiled weakly. but she hugged me and cried with happiness that nothing more had happened. I missed her very much. All the jare in which we were apart I had to leave here when I was 9 years old to help with my father in the new Yubas main town. I closed her in my arms and was just happy.
