Chapter: Chapter 5

Chapter 5

"Nice cabin", Tala was really blown away by Kai's accommodation. He didn't think he'd live in such a beautiful house. Although he hadn't expected to meet Kai of all people.
Tala unpacked his bag and looked around the house. He hadn't taken much with him, just the bare essentials. Kai wanted to be alone, but Tala wouldn't mind his view.

In Tokyo, Max and Tyson began fighting among themselves again. Slowly, however, they began to accept Ray's death. Because they couldn't make him alive either. But both had to recover from this shock, because that they weren't quite there, you could tell by their Beyblade style. Kenny was sure, however, that that would soon get better.

Under no circumstances did Tala want to sleep in a room with Kai, so he settled on the couch in the living room. The two young people shared the housework. There was no electricity or gas in the house and it was pretty cold. The very next day Kai made his way to the registration office. Tala, however, did the job with electricity and gas.
And then it was fixed: From now on, Tala and Kai lived together in a house in Russia. After three days everything was done and the two of them could now have a comfortable life in Vladikavkaz. Even if Kai wasn't able to, because he just couldn't let go of Ray. Again and again he thought of him and sank into deep depression. But he didn't show anything and outwardly he looked cool and casual as always.

Time flew by and it was only two weeks until Christmas. It had been three months since Ray had died, and even Kai had recovered a little. However, he still couldn't cope with visiting Ray's grave. Tala and Kai had built a really friendly relationship, and Kai was very happy that he had Tala, because if he were alone, he would probably already have sunk in self-pity.When Tala picked up the post on Monday, there were already some Christmas cards with them.
"Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year,
Lee, Mariah, Garry & Kevin "

Kai hadn't expected to get a card from the White Tigers of all places. But secretly he was also happy that they were thinking of him, even if he would never admit it. Among other things, there was a letter from Tokyo between the bills and advertising brochures. Tala sat down next to Kai so she could read the letter. However, he was very reluctant to open the envelope.
As he had already suspected, the letter came from Max. Sure, from whom else. Only after he had stared at the letter for a while did he begin to read.
"Dear Kai!
As you know for sure, Christmas is just around the corner. Tyson, Kenny, Hilary and I would be very happy if you could visit us.
How about that After all, we haven't seen each other for a long time, and I'm sure we have a lot to talk about.Of course, Tala can also come along if he wants. As I said, we would all be very happy.
Please think about it. You can call us then. We will of course get you the plane tickets.
But please let us know in good time.

With best regards,
Max "

// Something like that had to come at some point ... // thought Kai and laughed inwardly.
"I'm sure Max decided that all by himself and Tyson doesn't even know anything about the letter," said Tala so suddenly that Kai started. "Hm," replied Kai when he had regained his composure. Then he got up and went into the kitchen to get something to eat. Tala looked after him, shaking her head. "So? Will you accept the invitation?" He finally asked. "I don't know. Maybe. Would you come with me?", Kai answered him. "Yes why not?"
Kai was feeling rather uncomfortable, but he decided to visit his former teammates anyway. And Tala would go with him.
So he called Max on the same day and let him know that both of them would come. He was of course very happy about the Russian's acceptance and couldn't wait for Christmas anymore.

On December 22nd, Tala and Kai flew together to see Tyson, Max and Kenny. They were eagerly awaited at the airport, and the joy of seeing each other was great, at least from Max, Kenny and Tyson. Kai actually acted as usual.
And then the big day came: Christmas.
Everyone was sitting around the decorated tree and listening to Christmas carols, and there was a framed photo on the table. Of course, Ray was in the photo. Everyone wanted him to spend Christmas with them, and everyone was sure that Ray was close by and would always be. Kai had brought Driger with him too, but kept it hidden in his pocket. And then there was the mess.
There were lots of little things that were given away, such as self-made calendars or Beyblade spare parts.Every now and then a slight smile crept on Kai's lips, and he was secretly very happy to see his old friends again. It was agreed that Tala and Kai would stay in Tokyo for a week, until the new year. And on January 1st, they would fly home again.
But of course nobody expected that this carefree hustle and bustle would soon come to an end, and that the New Year would never come ...

To be continued ...

_____

Hm, I don't like this chapter ... but well, the decision is yours. I really hurried to write, that's why it's not told in detail, and I don't know whether you even have a Christmas tree in Japan (because everyone is Buddhist). So please don't be so strict.

Thanks for your kind comments, Angelheart and Merle-Chan.
They really encourage you to continue writing * gg *

So then, see you at the next chapter

your hailie!
