Years have passed. Yugi and Yami are separated because the puzzle had split, so Yami got his own body back. Yugi is now 20 and runs the shop from his late grandfather. Yami has become a pop singer and is quite famous, in his current body he is the same age as Yugi. Joey and his sister Serenity moved in together and have their own company. Tea became a good dance teacher. Tristan has opened an animal shelter and takes care of injured animals and that sort of thing. Kaiba and Mokuba have disappeared, there are rumors that they are on vacation together. We haven't heard from Mai and Duke. The whole friendship broke, it started when the puzzle broke. Duel Monsters has not been played for a long time, Yugi still sells cards but nobody wants them anymore. (only as a small tip ^^)
Yugi's shop was closed and he himself was looking at an old picture with his old friends on it. It was raining heavily in the late afternoon.Suddenly someone knocked on the shop door. Yugi awoke from all of his memories. Then he ran down the stairs into the shop and opened the door.
A girl a head taller than Yugi stood in the doorway. She looked very strange. She had long brown hair and brown eyes. She had a light yellow scarf around her head (stretched: she didn't have a headscarf on her head but simply tied a scarf around her head) long skirt that ended just above the feet and had a long slit under the bottom. The girl wore black slippers with long ribbons tied around the calves. Around her neck she wore a cross chain made of frosted glass.
"We are closed.", Yugi said and looked at the floor. "Yes, I know.", Said the girl, wiped her wet hair from her face and walked past Yugi. "Phew, it's warmer here," she said.Yugi was still standing at the door and looking at the floor, then he closed the door and turned around. "What do you want?" Asked Yugi. "What? Oh, nothing, I'm just looking for someone.", Said the girl and pulled her hair out. Yugi gave her a funny look. Not a single drop of 'water came out of the hair, but the hair became dry again. And suddenly her clothes were dry again. "How did you-", Yugi began but the girl interrupted him. "Just call me Lara, Yugi," she said. "How do you know, uh ... do you know my name?", Yugi asked surprised. "Is not important.", Lara said, and looked at the cards. "Who are you looking for?" Asked Yugi. "Yami, you know him." ...
