Suddenly Shippo shouted: “Come here, I think I've found something!” He had found the remains of Inuyasha's breakfast, which he had discovered when he woke up. "Is this really from Inuyasha? He didn't take anything with him, did he?" Miroku asked rather incredulously.“But I'm quite sure of that! At least it smells like him!” Shippo was really sure of him, his nose had become almost as good as the Hanyou's over time.
"Then it can't have been that long since he was here!" noted Kagome with relief. But she still had this feeling that he needed her help.

"Where should we look for him now? He could have gone anywhere!" Shippo wondered. “It will be so, I suspect, that he is further into the mountains.” Sango was mostly right with their assumptions and so they continued on their way. Suddenly it started to rain heavily. After a while the mountain front parted in two directions. "It seems we won't find him! Or we'd better split up," Miroku stated. "No, that can't be! We just have to find him, but if we split up, it's too dangerous, together we're stronger! Wait a little longer, please, I'll try to find his way again."Kagome knelt down again and closed her eyes. It was a disgusting feeling, because of the heavy rain, the earth turned to slimy slush and slid away from under her knees.
