"Kagome! I love you!"

He really said it, he loved her. Inuyasha was scared. * What will she say? How will she react? Will she slap me like Sango when Miroku gropes her? No,…. ?! *
Kagome smiled warmly at Inuyasha after her eyes were fully opened again. At first she couldn't say anything, she only saw his eyes. They spoke volumes, he was afraid, was happy and waited, hoping for an answer.
Kagome tried to catch himself. Did he really say that? She couldn't believe it, it felt like her heart was about to explode, it was beating so loudly. Could Inuyasha hear it too? She looked up at him. Now it was up to her to do something!
She hugged Inuyasha very tight, tried to get her face as close as possible to one of his ears and whispered, "I love you too, Inuyasha!"He couldn't believe it, Kagome returned his feelings, even if he was mostly rude to her! * She loves me for who I am! I was a fool to shut myself off from her for so long! * He hugged her very tenderly, but as if he would never let go of her again and then kissed her again while the girl of his dreams closed her arms around his neck. He put all the longing and hopelessness of the past weeks and months into this kiss, and felt how Kagome instinctively responded to it.
Afraid of going too far, he opened his mouth during this kiss and carefully ran his tongue over her lips. He wanted Kagome and NO other by his side! That, on the other hand, didn't bother Kagome in the least. Willingly she complied with Inuyasha's request, opened her mouth and they sank into a beautiful, passionate kiss.

Kagome shrank back in the middle of this seal, their love for both, and grimaced. *What's happening?Did I do something wrong? Could she have hurt my canine teeth? No, I'm human tonight! * Inuyasha saw that Kagome was holding her scalded hand. She had started to hurt again when she tried to scratch Inuyasha's neck while they kissed. But now she was certain that Kagome was not in a dream.

Inuyasha grinned a little meanly at her. “And you young lady,” he said in a stern voice and raised an eyebrow, “you won't shake hands again this evening!” At the same moment he took her in his arms, carried her to her bed and covered her lovingly. He kissed her good night, turned around and wanted to go back to his time through the fountain. He didn't want to go too far yet, he didn't want to push Kagome into anything. He would sleep infinitely happily on his tree.

But he didn't get that far. When he took the first steps, she held him and pulled the startled Hanyou to her bed. He was far too surprised to oppose her silent wish and was able to support himself on his hands just in time not to crush her under himself.“Inuyasha, I beg you, stay here tonight, stay with me tonight and never leave me alone again!” He smiled at her as she looked up at him with such a wide look, the silent pleading in her shining eyes, her dark one Hair fanned out around her face on the pillow. "I promise you, I will never leave you alone!"

Kagome's arms tightened their hold around him, with a satisfied sigh Inuyasha crawled up to her under the covers and lay down next to her, her face buried in her hair. That night they both fell asleep, happily hugging each other.
