Chapter 1 => A harmonious married life

The rain lashed my face. The drops were cold and wet, just like raindrops are. The wind tousled my hair, which I had laboriously combed through in the morning. Individual strands clapped my face again and again and I had my dear effort to keep them in the fence. Again and again my thoughts revolved around the same question: Why didn't I take an umbrella with me? Well hello, I'm Miko McGrow and I'm the daughter of a farmer in the town of Luhm. This city is ruled by a king who is suffering from severe depression. His only daughter, Princess Llam Llap (read it backwards ^^), was kidnapped and held captive by one of the most dangerous dragons. And me? I am looking for this princess because my greatest dream is to become a Knight of the Order of the Cross. Oh yes, I don't want to be a farmer and that's why I'm now on my way to the Drachenberg, the rich and home of the dragons.My journey takes me through the forest of Luhm. Allegedly there is supposed to be a house here in which I might find shelter. I continued on my way one step at a time. My things were already completely soaked and the cold wind whipped around my ears. It didn't want to end with the downpour. I tried to use the trees as shelter from the rain and jumped from one safe corner to the next. My stomach growled an indistinct melody. I hadn't had anything to eat for days. I had already used up my provisions in the first two days. I went further and further into the forest and my bare feet sank more and more into the mud and dirt. It was difficult to get ahead, but I didn't give up. Suddenly I got stuck and fell full-length. I tried with great effort to pull myself out of the mud. I was smeared with mud and mud from top to bottom. It was getting colder and colder. The sun was slowly going down.The sky turned deep red and purple. The light came closer, yes I could almost feel how warm it was. "Hello?" I called out to the bright glow. The laughter stopped. I could hear voices. I walked slowly on, I couldn't go any faster because my legs threatened to collapse with every step. Then I saw her. "People, a man and a young woman. They even had an umbrella! The hallway had a total of 3 doors. Once the one I had just come from and then another 2 wider at the end of the corridor. I just decided to open both doors and see which one leads to a bathroom. The other door hid no bathroom either, just a corridor to a staircase that led down. I followed the stairs. At the end there was another door. I heard voices. So I wanted to be very brave and opened it. I looked into what looked like a kitchen; Only bigger and more magnificent. Suddenly a plate shot past in front of my nose. The shock caused me to fall back and land on one of the hard wooden steps. What was that? I got up. There would soon be a bruise on my bottom. I opened the door one more time. I prepared myself for another plate to come flying. But nothing came. Just a loud roar. I looked around and saw the young woman and her boyfriend standing in the middle of the room and cursing each other loudly. Then I saw the fat man. He saw it on a chair and watched them both. I made my way through the flying stuff. The hamster I appointed looked at me with wide eyes.Then he pulled up a chair and made a gesture that I should sit down. I accepted the offer and sat down. "what's going on here?" I asked without turning to the hamster. “They argue, as always!” - “Why?” - “Irrelevant little things.” - “And what about?” He did not answer, but just watched the two of them in silence. I didn't know why, but I had a feeling he wanted it. Awkward as I was, I took it. I watched his eyes follow my bun.I bit the piece of dough tastefully. His expression remained neutral, but I knew that he was inwardly longing to have my bun. When I finished eating I licked each finger off. "You know what?", The hamster man continued to look at me, "Definitely not! So I was wondering why you didn't do anything to tell them apart?" - "Why should I!" hung over the door. “It's over in exactly 30 seconds!” I looked at him in disbelief.
