"Please, Kagome! I don't want you to go! Please ..." was all Inuyasha could say when he saw her angry but above all infinitely sad eyes.

He had already decided on Kikyo and had just proven it to her again. "I'll go now! And I don't want you to follow me!" - "But .... are you coming again?" Inuyasha had realized that it would be completely pointless to explain anything to Kagome. She wouldn't believe him. All his hopes were in the answer to his question."Will you come back?" he asked again when he got no answer. Kagome's eyes filled with tears so she turned away. "I dont know!" she whispered and ran off towards the well. Inuyasha didn't move. *Damn it! What am I supposed to do now? * It shot in his head when he suddenly felt Sango's hand on his shoulder. She smiled encouragingly at him: "I'll do it, okay? Miroku told me what happened to Kikyo in the forest. I'm sure Kagome will listen to me." Inuyasha looked gratefully at Sango and nodded.

Kagome kept walking when she suddenly stood in front of Kikyo. She smiled angrily at her: "Have you finally made up your mind to go back? That's a good thing. Inuyasha will be mine and there is nothing you can do to change that!" - "Did you come especially to tell me? " asked Kagome irritably. "Of course not, although it would have been worth it for sure! I want the shards of jewels that you carry with you.You will no longer need them and you will then stay safe in your world because you cannot come back without the splinters! "Kagome's eyes widened and she froze. What should she do? She had no chance against Kikyo and she knew that." I don't care, here you have her! "She said and gave Kikyo her shards of jewels." You still want what or can I finally go now? "Kikyo looked at her in astonishment, but stepped aside. It was not necessary to kill her. She was no longer a danger.

Sango who had followed Kagome no longer understood the world. * You can't be serious about that. She can never go back if she leaves without a splinter * - "Kagome!" she called and ran after her. Kikyo completely ignored her. It wasn't important at first. "Are you sure you want to go forever?" she asked when she reached Kagome. She just smiled. "Don't worry! I still have a few splinters at home, remember?" Sango was relieved."I wanted to tell you something about Inuyasha. It really wasn't his fault this time. Kikyo has somehow taken control of him!" - "Even if that's true. He went to her and that voluntarily. It may be her controlled him but I'm sure he could have gotten free if he'd really wanted to. "Kagome replied sadly. "But no matter, I'll return home now. Tell Inuyasha if he wants me to come back he should come and get me. If he doesn't, I'll bring my splinters back in a week and finish with this part of my life. And that Definitely! I'm very sorry, Sango! I will definitely miss you! "-" Don't worry, he will come for you! I know that! "-" Don't underestimate his pride! " said Kagome and sat down on the edge of the fountain. "I'm gonna go, then!" she said and jumped into the well.

With a sigh, Sango turned to return to the others.Kikyo had meanwhile disappeared but she didn't care. She couldn't have done anything against her anyway.

Inuyasha was back with Miroku and Shippo. He was nervous! He could smell Sango, she was approaching, but Kagome's smell was gone. "She's gone!" he said to Miroku. "I knew that Sango couldn't change her mind either!" - "Wait a minute what Sango says when she comes back, then we'll see!" Shippo nodded in agreement. He was mad at Inuyasha for pissing off Kagome again. He missed her already.

When Sango returned to the camp, she got a lot of questioning looks. "So ..." she started and began to tell. That Kagome gave Kikyo the shards of jewels, that she had informed Kagome about Kikyo's game and that she would wait 7 days for Inuyasha. After she finished she looked at Inuyasha. "And?" she asked. Inuyasha got up and turned around. He took a deep breath as if to say something, but then left the camp without a word.A little further away he sat on a branch and stared at the sky. It was getting slowly morning and the stars were already disappearing. * Seven days ... What should I do? How can I ask you to come back when I've already made my decision. Oh, Kagome. I miss you! *

When Kagome came through the well she was completely exhausted. * What did I do? I know Inuyasha! He won't come, his pride just doesn't allow him to do that! * She quietly crept into the house and then into her room. As it was still almost night everyone slept. Kagome was very happy about it. She didn't feel like listening to annoying questions from her brother or grandpa. Sighing, she threw herself on her bed. The tears ran down her cheeks but she didn't mind. She just cried and didn't stop until after she fell asleep.

"Kagome? What are you doing here?" she woke her brother's voice. "Can't I come home every now and then?" answered Kagome irritably."In the middle of the night?" - "Don't annoy me!" she hissed and turned so that she was facing the wall. In the meantime her brother withdrew insulted.

Meanwhile with her friends in the Middle Ages: "Come on Inuyasha! Now go get Kagome!" Shippo groaned. They had decided to take a rest in Kaede's village, since without Kagome it was pointless to look for the splinters of the jewel anyway and were just on their way there. "Leave me alone at last!" Inuyasha snapped at the little one. "I would, but only you can bring Kagome back and only you can go through the well!" - "I know that too, so stop annoying me. I'll go!" - "Really?" Shippo asked hopefully. The other two also looked at him in amazement. "Yes, really! But I can't promise anything. If she doesn't want to come with me, I won't force her!" With that he quickened his pace and left his friends behind.
