neither of the two really wants to think of anything.
"If only we knew where he is. It's getting really tricky," thinks Heiji Hattori, who came from Osaka especially to look for it.
"I'm afraid we have no other choice. If the police are to help us, we have to explain to them why Conan, umm my Shinichi, was wrongly kidnapped." explains the professor."Does that mean we have to tell them who he really is? Isn't it enough if we say he was kidnapped by the child murderer?" asks Ai.
It is not at all right for her that the police should find out the truth. After all, there could also be members of the organization among the police officers.
"Besides, we don't have any solid evidence that Shinichi was kidnapped by the child killer and you would ask way too many questions, e.g. why he was kidnapped. After all, he's not a genius." explained
Heiji.
Ai can only agree with that.

Two days later the doorbell rings at the detective agency. Kogoro opens the door, completely drunk.
"Hopefully this is a new client. It was really ebb recently." He mumbles.
"The fact that you are then totally drunk does not throw a good light on you, Pop!" Ran rightly tells him.
But in front of the door there is not a client as hoped, but Inspector Megure.
"Did you find him? What about Conan? Come on, they say already." urges Ran.The inspector looks at the floor in embarrassment and doesn't really want to speak out. Finally he says:
"No sign of the boy. We searched all of Tokyo. He hasn't been to playgrounds, schools or the train station. We also searched the hotels and asked everyone. Nobody saw Conan."
"That-that's terrible!" sobs Ran.
"First Shinichi disappears without a trace and now Conan. Can that really be a coincidence?" she thinks discouraged.

In the meantime, Conan has given up trying to call for help. Nobody hears him. In addition, it is quite draining of his strength.
Growlrrr…. makes his stomach. He hasn't had anything to eat in three. What is worse, however, is the thirst.
"Oh man, I'm thirsty. My throat is already completely dry. But nobody can hear me, even if my stomach growls so loud.
How long can I hold out?
Suddenly he hears a strange noise. He turns around."What kind of strange noise was that. My God, rats."
They crawl out of the cracks everywhere. Especially now during the day when they are now looking for shelter to be able to sleep undisturbed. But if they find out that a really large roast is very close, then ...

In the professor's lab, Ai finally has an idea.
"If my theory is correct, we could find Shinichi within two days. If it's not too late by then, she ponders.
"Professor, I now have an idea where Shinichi could be. We have to look in all the vacant buildings, from the largest factory floor to the smallest warehouse. I did the math. If we all, so the Professor, Heiji and I all these places search, we should have found him in two days at the latest. "
"Isn't 2 days too long? Can he hold out until then?" asks Heiji.
"It doesn't get any faster than that! I suggest we split up and start with the big factories around here.Then come the smaller buildings. "Ai explains her plan.

"If I ever get out of here alive, I'll tell Ran the whole truth!" That's the last thing Conan can think of. He is now so weak that he can hardly breathe. Thirst and hunger plague him. As long as he can, he tries not to give up.
But after another 12 hours his will to live waned. He passes out.
Then, at the last minute, Ai and Heiji break the door open. Immediately her gaze falls on the little boy, who is still leaning against the wall, tied up, and the rats, startled by the light. In the last few days there have been more and more. they have noticed Conan and also registered that he is not a threat, but rather a fat prey.
Ai immediately calls Professor Agasa on her mini cell phone.
"Professor, we found him. Come here quickly. I'm currently calling the ambulance." Ai shouts excitedly into the phone.
Meanwhile, Heiji has notified Ran and the police.Ran and Kogoro immediately set off.
Ai and Heiji have meanwhile freed Conan and taken the gag out of his mouth. Then the ambulance arrives. With a loud siren and blue light, Conan is driven to the hospital in no time at all.
There he is artificially fed to get his circulation going again.
Ran and Kogoro run excitedly to the examination room. Before that, Ai, Professor Agasa and Heiji Hattori are already waiting.
"Heiji, what are you doing here?" Ran wonders. At the same time she asks the question: "How is he?"
The professor and Ai don't know the answer to that either. You can only tell how they found.
"What, that's terrible!" exclaims Ran horrified when she learns the story of where Conan was.
"I passed there three times a day. How awful!" notes Ran.
Then she asks Heiji her question again.
"Um, I uh ... I, I'm here because Shinichi called me. He couldn't come himself and there ..." Heiji stutters."Shinichi, but he didn't know anything about it!" answers Ran.
"I called him, Ran!" says the professor.
But he is interrupted when the doctor comes out and says:
"His life is out of danger. He just needs a little rest. You can go to him, young lady. He asked about you." says the doctor.
Ran enters the hospital room. Conan lies in a huge hospital bed and gives her a tired smile. Only now does she notice that he is not even wearing his glasses.
"He looks just like Shinichi without glasses!" thinks Ran.
"Ran, I have to tell you something. It's important. When I was in that shed, I thought I'd never see you again, and I swore to myself. If I ever get out of this shed alive, I will tell you a secret. " says Conan straight away.
"Ran, listen carefully now. It might sound strange, but I'm Shinichi. The men in black poured me a mysterious poison, back in Tropical Land, you remember?I said to you: I'll be right back and listen to the men. The poison that was supposed to kill me only shrunk me, but when the men in black find out that I'm still alive, then ... "
He does not speak any further. But then he starts to tell again.
"Anyway, I had to hide and so I called myself Conan Edugawa and stayed with you to find out more about the men in black through the Mori detective agency. The professor helped me a lot with that."
"Well done Shinichi!" Heiji, Pr. Agasa and Ai whisper from one mouth. Then they disappear as quickly as they came.
"She, she ..." stutters Ran.
"Yes, they all know my secret, at least Heiji, Pr. Agasa and my parents."
"What about Ai? Why ...?"
"She shrunk herself and saw through me straight away. She developed the poison and ..." He doesn't tell any further, because the doctor comes in and throws Ran out."Don't tell anyone!" Conan whispers to her.
Ran nods. She is still very confused. Is that really the truth?

Two days later the postman rings the doorbell to the detective agency.
"Telegram for Ran Mori!" calls he.
Ran takes the telegram. It says:
Come to my house right now Stop Shinichi Stop.
Ran immediately sets off.
Conan opens the door for her and leads her charmingly into the house. He has his glasses back on now and is wearing his usual clothes. They go into the dining room together and Shinichi tells the whole story to Ran. Why he had to keep it a secret, why he lied to her and of course, that he always solved the cases for Kogoro.
"I just couldn't resist. That's why Pr. Agasa invented the anesthetic chronometer and the voice transposer for me."
He shows her both devices.
"Does that mean that Dad just slept and you solved the cases for him?" replies Ran surprised."Yes. But actually I wanted to explain the whole thing to you when we last met when I was Shinichi.
"How were you there Shinichi?" asks Ran.
"Ai has developed an antidote that unfortunately only lasts for a short time, but I just had to take it again to tell you all this. Ai played Conan for me. It was exactly the same when you were kidnapped by the Men in Black." (this occurs in my 1st FF. so please read them first)
"But then this case got in the way and I ran out of time." explains Shinichi.
"Shinichi!" Ran breathes and hugs Conan so tightly that he can hardly breathe.
"Moan. I wanted to show you this." he says, pointing to a newspaper article.
"Child murderer captured!"
Then Conan suddenly becomes serious.
"You know, Ran, that you can't tell anyone who I really am. You have to keep calling me Conan and your father must never find out, do you hear?"
Ran nods. Then suddenly something occurs to her."I lay in a bed with you and bathed with you!" she screeches.
"He saw me naked !!!!!"
"I love you Ran!" Conan whispers in her ear.
"It's good that nobody is watching me! A 7-year-old makes a 17-year-old a declaration of love. How embarrassing!"
"Me too, Shinichi."
They are about to kiss when Ran realizes that it must look pretty ridiculous when she kisses an elementary school student.
"We'd better leave that." she thinks.

So Ran and Conan make their way back to the detective agency. Ran calls him Conan again and nobody finds out what happened between the two of them. Conan continues to solve the cases for Kogoro and goes to elementary school. He is also still friends with the Detective Boys.
