Farewell is difficult

Farewell is difficult

I would like to dedicate the third and last chapter to Chiaki (Marron_chaaan). I hope you enjoy reading. ^^
Aya had been cleaning and washing all day. She was so happy that Toya had woken up again, Suzumi was probably right: Toya just had the flu. Everyone has that. As she wiped the stove, she hummed a song to herself. But suddenly Kyo stood behind her ...
"Toya! Get up quickly! Take a look at this!" Toya startled from his coma-like sleep. Aya stood in the doorway, completely distraught. "What's going on?" Toya asked sleepily. “Quick! Come on!” Groaning, Toya got up and staggered to the door. Outside in the meadow Aya was standing with Kyo in her arms, Toya took a few more steps towards her until they were only 5 meters away, when Aya called: "" Stop! Stand there! "
She put Kyo in the meadow. He got up, took a few awkward steps towards his father and fell into the grass. But he couldn't be stopped. He got up again and walked cautiously on. When he was sure he started to run. He let his sweet baby smile be heard. Shortly before his father he stumbled and fell into his arms. Toya hugged him and a tear ran down his cheek. Aya came running. Tears ran down her cheeks too. Kyo looked up at the two of them, wondering why they were crying, but had to laugh. "You did well ..." Toya whispered in Kyo's ear.
In the evening Toya carried his son to bed. Kyo was already sound asleep. Carefully so as not to wake him up, Toya laid him on his bed and kissed him on the forehead. He mumbled something that Aya didn't understand, even though she was standing right behind him. He turned to her with a smile. They went out and quietly closed the door behind them. "Come on. Let's go to bed too. I'm exhausted.", Toya said, put her arm around Aya and walked with her to her futon. Both put on kimono and went to bed.Toya put his arms around Aya tenderly. "Sleep well," Aya muttered. Again Toya mumbled something she didn't understand. "What did you say?" Aya finally asked. "You too, I said," he replied with his eyes closed. Aya smiled and snuggled against his warm body. Toya, however, sank in his pain.
Aya woke up in the middle of the night. She looked up at Toya's face. He seemed to be sleeping peacefully. She even thought she saw a smile on his face. Still, she had a strange feeling. Again she snuggled up against him, but ... what was that? His body was still warm, but his heart wasn't beating. Aya startled. She looked again at his face. He wasn't breathing anymore. Toya was death ...
So that's why he's been in such pain lately. A year ago he had told her: "I'm going to die soon ..." Tears ran down her cheeks. She buried her face in Toya's kimono, sobbed, and hoped he would start breathing again and hug her.Now she knew what he had said to her and Kyo. These words stay in her head all night long: Farewell ...

5 years later ...
5 years had passed since Toya died. Aya still had to cry when she thought of the night of his death. Also today she went to his grave to bring him new flowers like every morning. She was almost at the grave when she saw someone standing there: Chiaki, Toya's best friend. He too mourned his friend and colleague. When he noticed Aya he walked up to her. "Did you visit his Garb to talk to him?" Asked Aya. "Uh ... Yes. I told him that little girl Alice, whom he used to treat, is now studying medicine to work for us later.", Chiaki replied, somewhat embarrassed. Aya bowed her head. There was a moment of silence. "How is Marron"? Chiaki startled. "What? Good. She sprained her ankle two weeks ago, but everything is okay again." "Give her my regards," Aya went on.Chiaki just stopped for a moment. Finally he turned around and said, with bowed head: "Aya! ... I think Toya would not have wanted us to still mourn him." At these words Aya stopped. Chiaki started to sweat. * Did I say something wrong? *
“I have to go too, I still have a lot to do in the clinic.” Chiaki started the retreat. When he noticed that Aya didn't want to say anything, he just went to work.
"I'm back home!" Shouted Aya as she stepped through the front door. "Did you bring ice cream with you?" Kyo ran excitedly towards her, his friend Jin behind him. "Yes of course. Hello Jin." Aya ran a hand through Kyo's hair. "Hello," Jin said gently, bowing deeply. "Jin came over to play soccer, but it's too hot. Are we going to get some ice cream now?" Kyo looked at her with wide eyes. Aya smiled gently at him and opened the pack of ice. Each of the three (i.e. Jin, Kyo and Aya) took an ice cream from the pack. The two children ran away with a loud laugh. Aya quickly put away the ice pack and lay down on the deck chair in the garden. She licked her ice cream with relish. She let Chiaki's words go through her head again. Finally Aya got up, threw away the popsicle stick and went into her and Toya's room. She never wanted to clean up Toya's things. These things were a memory of him. But after saying these words, she decided to do it. When she had already cleaned up most of the items, she found a note under Toya's pillow. Slowly she unfolded it. It was a letter. A farewell letter from Toya.
Dear Aya,
I now know what's wrong with me. It has long been known that I will die, but it still hurts. I would have liked to have stayed with you and Kyo longer. But you should know one thing: I'm not dying. I live on in my son and your heart.
Toya
"What are you doing there, mom?" Kyo stood in the door with a smile and looked at his mother with his beautiful green eyes.Aya tears ran down her cheeks. She walked up to Kyo, fell on her knees in front of him and hugged him. "Mom what is it? Is something hurting you?" "No ...", Aya sobbed and buried her face in Kyo's T-shirt. He put his arms around his completely distraught mother .. "Don't cry ..." he whispered in her ear. Aya desperately clung to Kyo and kept sobbing Toya's name.

That was it. N / A? Chiaki how did the end? Is it cute XD
I hope for clerks from others too. ^^
See you Toya-san
