Chapter: It's harvest time ...

Once upon a time, a long time ago, in a country not far from here, there was a woman who had 2 daughters. One daughter was lazy, untidy and of an extremely unpleasant character, the other was Polish, pretty, helpful and nice to everyone she came across. The mother liked the messy daughter much more because she was her birth daughter and earned her own money through horse racing. So the poor dear girl had to clean the villa all day and when she was done she scrubbed the pool or wiped through one of the private planes. Without lying you can say that dear girls were tired of doing the dirty work all the time, but what could it do? So she submitted to her fate and worked well and did what was told to her.
One spring afternoon the girl was sitting by the pool mending an island-shaped air mattress when the glue fell into the full pool. Since the mother had a preference for synchronized jumping, the water was correspondingly deep.Shrugging, the girl went to her stepmother only to be insulted again, she took it and shuffled back to the pool. Somehow she had to get the glue back up. She stood there for a long time, thinking until she fasted her decision and jumped. She fell for an infinite amount of time, passed out, woke up again and fell asleep again until she hit a meadow hard.
Shivering, she straightened up and looked around. The sun was shining and thousands of flowers nodded their heads to her. Goldmarie, that was the girl's name, even said in the distance to hear a flower beep "Ooobi is beautiful". She shook her head, however, maybe the TV rays she had been exposed to for years had some side effects. Sullenly she took a few steps and something was written there. An oven? The girl stepped closer and the oven began to shake violently. A screeching and moaning came from inside as Goldmarie was standing right in front of the stove door.Although she did not know exactly why, she opened the oven in front of her and took out the bread. They just kept shouting and yelling indistinct words.
Then she went on and came across an apple tree. Its fruits were red and ripe but she was amazed at the size of them, she did not know any naturally grown fruits because in her world all foods were pumped full of hormones and growth additives in order to achieve as much profit as possible. The tree trembled like the stove before and it screamed just as indistinctly as the loaves of bread. The trembling loosened the fruits from their branches and an apple hit like a stone next to Goldmarie. Then she heard footsteps, behind her a man in a blood-splattered shirt and bloody wings staggered across the meadow. He ran and stumbled up to the tree and held on to its bark as if something terrible was following him, but Goldmarie's eyes saw nothing. He scratched his fingers bloody on the rotten bark which only made the tree tremble even more.Suddenly it was quiet. The man seemed frozen to ice and looked confused at the sky. His mouth opened and, accompanied by the rustling of the leaves, he whispered the words into nothing, "It's harvest time .."
Goldmarie was hit hard on the head by an apple and fell unconscious to the ground.
