Fanfic: It´s Christmas time

Chapter: prolog

Pharaoh Atemu should go back to his past. Even so, he and Yugi were inexplicably still in contact with each other. Yugi didn't understand this, but didn't worry unnecessarily either.
His girlfriend Tea now went to a large dance studio. She realized her dream as she promised Yugi. For this reason, the two rarely saw each other.
Tristan dated Joey's sister Serenity all the time when Duke wasn't doing it.
Joey, in turn, brought or tried to teach children how to duel. Even if it was very difficult for him. Either he freaked out in desperation or the children attacked him. But that wasn't the point ...
One night Yugi heard a strange noise. Startled, he opened his eyes and sleepily climbed out of bed. He yawned. Yugi moved to the door and opened it a little bit. He looked down the hall.
The hallway was dark. Yugi saw almost nothing, but it was also because his eyes had not yet got used to the darkness. He didn't see anyone in the hallway, or so it seemed. Yugi wanted to be sure and went into the hallway. No nothing! The corridor was empty.
The boy went on. A dark figure sat in front of the toilet door. His face turned to Yugi.
This just turned on the light. The Pharaoh sat in the aisle and stared at his friend. He seemed just as surprised as Atemu was. "Yugi?", It came out of the Pharaoh. "P ... Pharaoh, what are you doing here?" Yugi asked confused. Atemu stood up. "I don't know," he admitted.
The next morning, Atemu was rather awake. Yugi had put a mattress on the floor for him.
The Pharaoh knew that he was not allowed to go out into the street in his clothes, that looked too puzzled. Because of this, he borrowed a few things from Yugi. He changed and put his Egyptian jewelry and clothes on the desk.
Atemu looked out the window and went over in his head what happened yesterday.
He was lying in his bed thinking about Yugi and then it was like a film tear.He thought hard. Atemu almost got a headache from it. He just didn't care. "Damn it," he swore.
At that moment Yugi woke up. He turned to his friend. "You borrowed a few things from me?", Yugi noticed this immediately. The Pharaoh looked at him, then nodded. "Stop the politeness," Atemu said then.
Yugi got out of bed and stretched. "Are you hungry?" He asked his friend. He nodded again: "And how."
Both went into the kitchen, where Yugi's grandfather was preparing breakfast. When he turned to Yugi, a cup of coffee almost fell from his hand. "I see everything twice," he stammered. Yugi shook his head: "No, grandfather. You still know the Pharaoh?" His grandfather nodded.
The three of them sat down at the table without saying another word. Atemu ate and was lost in thought.
"How did he get here? I thought he was back in his past," Yugi's grandfather whispered to his grandson.Yugi shrugged his shoulders: “Nobody knows that at the moment.” “You should speak to Ishizu Isthar,” suggested the grandpa and sipped his cup of coffee.
Yugi thought about it. His grandfather was right, he would call Ishizu and Marik right away.
Pharaoh looked like he was sleeping with his eyes open, so absorbed was he in his thoughts.
Yugi got up and left the room. The grandfather stared at his ancestor. Atemu raised his head. "Is what?" He asked. Yugi's grandpa shook his head: "I'm just thinking about how you got here." Atemu only let out a small "Hm".
Yugi was meanwhile at the receiver and waited until the beep sounded and someone answered the phone. And then finally a woman's voice answered: “Ishizu Isthar.” “Hello Ishizu, this is Yugi,” Yugi replied.
"Yugi? Why are you calling him?"
"I ... uh ... have a little problem at home."
"I do not understand."
"The Pharaoh is sitting at the table and eating bread with Nutella.""The Pharaoh? But how can that be? Yugi, that's illogical."
"Ishizu, I know that myself. But I don't understand how he got here either."
"Yugi, I'll take care of it. I'll go straight to the Egyptian library with my brother and do some research."
"Thank you Ishizu."
Yugi lay up and closed his eyes. So now it was time to wait and drink tea. In the time when Atemu was still there, one should at least do something with him. After all, he was a very good friend.
Atemu came out of the kitchen. "And Yugi, did you find out something?" He asked, slightly worried. Yugi shook his head: "No, I'm sorry. Ishizu will investigate. We can only hope that she finds something." "And what do we do in that time?" Said the Pharaoh. "Pass the time. We should take advantage of the fact that you are here. If you are gone, then I will probably never see you again," Yugi replied. Atemu didn't know what to think of it, but then he nodded satisfied.Yugi and Atemu dueled that day. Sometimes one person won, sometimes the other. Yugi had a lot of fun with it. Atemu's feelings were mixed.
He lay awake that night, staring at the ceiling. "Was he thinking of me too? Maybe that's why it brought me back. But if Yugi wasn't thinking of me, how could it happen? I just don't understand," Atemu thought in frustration.
Two weeks passed. Yugi and Pharaoh heard nothing from Egypt, not a single sign from Ishizu or her brother.
More and more often Atemu forgot that he had to go back to Egypt. He was just having too much fun with Yugi.
Did the two really have to part again? Will tears flow again? Or will the Pharaoh stay with Yugi forever?
