Fanfic: It´s Christmas time

Yugi went into the living room. "What are you all doing here?" He asked. His three friends call him questioningly. "Are you kidding us, dude?" Joey asked, still holding the tree. "Of course we are there to celebrate Christmas with you and Atemu and your grandfather," said Tristan and fiddled with the tree stand. "Besides, it's a surprise for Atemu. He's never celebrated Christmas, after all," added Tea, crouching on the floor; she had put the bags in a corner.Yugi beamed: "That's really nice of you."
"Tristan are you finished with the boner today?", Joey asked impatiently. "Wait, Joey, I'll have it in a moment," Tristan said and set the stand on the floor. It was only with great effort that the two boys managed to make the tree really straight. Yugi and Tea had to point out five times that the tree was crooked. Which Joey didn't want to believe, of course, and that turned into a conflict between the four. Until Yugi's grandfather came into the living room with tea and said the tree was crooked.
When that was cleared up, everyone sat on the couch and drank tea. Then Joey jumped, of course he put his cup on the small table in front of it. "Let's start decorating the tree," he said with renewed courage, probably also in the hope of not hanging anything crooked. Everyone immediately agreed to it. But Yugi's grandfather stayed completely out of the matter. He preferred to disappear into the kitchen.
Tea, Tristan, Joey and Yugi decorated the Christmas tree.Often they couldn't decide what kind of balls they wanted to hang there. Joey suddenly got the stupid idea to hang cards on the tree. Tea couldn't believe it. Or his second idea was to hang Atemu's gold jewelry on the tree. But everyone looked at him and he let it go.
After two good and hard hours, the Christmas tree was also decorated. Yugi sat on the couch and looked at the work. Then he remembered Atemu. Today he slept really long, too long. That was never his way. In fact, Atemu had always been the first to slurp through the house and do something.
"What are we going to eat tonight?", Joey asked and looked at Yugi, "Uh ... Yugi?" Startled, the latter raised his head: "What did you say?". "What are we going to eat tonight," Joey repeated. Yugi shrugged. "I didn't really think about that," he said afterwards. "Then let's get a pizza", Tristan said seriously."Christmas with a difference. You're such an idiot," said Tea. "Actually ... actually I don't think the idea is that bad. It's different, too. We can still order sushi," Yugi admitted ashamed. "I don't think so," said Tea.
Atemu opened his eyes. His bones ached for whatever reason. He felt kind of exhausted. He yawned and then got up. He looked tiredly at Yugi's alarm clock and was amazed to find that it was 1.45 p.m. "Why did I sleep so long?" He asked himself. He changed quickly and went into the hall. He heard laughter. Atemu stepped into the living room yawning. Everyone looked up at him. "Good morning," laughed Tristan. "Hey, dude, are you getting up too?", Joey asked with a grin.
Atemu looked around. The Christmas tree caught his eye immediately. He thought it was really beautiful. "You can tell immediately that you like the Christmas tree," smiled Tea. Atemu had no words. After all, he had never seen a Christmas tree before.Yugi waved a hand in front of his eyes. Atemu closed it briefly, shook his head and looked at the others. "I really like it," he admitted. "Well, we're all happy about that," said Tristan. Atemu stared at the tree for another ten minutes.
The rest of the time everyone spent getting a little bored playing their favorite card game and turning the tree's electric candles on and off. When it was dark, they left them on. The tree was the only thing that lit the room. Yugi was now on the phone and ordered a couple of pizzas and sushi. The meal arrived not much later. Joey helped Yugi to cart everything into the living room.
Atemu's stomach growled for the seventeenth time that day. He skipped breakfast and lunch. But the friends didn't eat anything that afternoon either. Everyone rushed to the pizzas and sushi. Atemu hesitated. "Get in, dude. There's enough for everyone," Joey slapped the Pharaoh on the back. Atemu took a slice of pizza and took a bite.Amazed that something like that could taste so good, he munched the piece of pizza down completely. Of course, Atemu wanted a second look right away. Atemu, you should try the sushi too, "Yugi handed the pharaoh a pack of sushi. Without hesitation, the pharaoh accepted the pack and swallowed a piece of sushi. Atemu now didn't know which tasted better, the piece of sushi or the pizza.
"I think Atemu just found his favorite food," Tea whispered to Tristan. He just nodded in agreement. He was too busy eating.
After a good hour of eating, everyone was sitting lazily on the couch and not saying a single word. Tea rose. She was the only one who didn't take part in an eating contest. She took a few presents out of her bag and gave a present to everyone except Grandfather. Breath accepted a small package in amazement. The others also gave presents to their friends, but no one gave another present to Atemu.
Atemu felt uncomfortable, after all, he hadn't had a present for his friends."You can open it too," said Tea, who meanwhile was unwrapping her presents. Hesitantly, Atemu tore the package apart. It was a silver chain with a small pendant. There was a picture in this trailer. It showed Yugi, Joey, Tea and Tristan. "I wish you a Merry Christmas," said Tea. "We gave you this necklace so that you won't forget us when you get back to Egypt," said Yugi.
Atemu's eyes grew wet. He was very touched by it, but he didn't want to show that he was about to cry. Because of this, he left the room and went to Yugi's room. He remembered his gold jewelry. He took out two rings, a bracelet, and his crown. Then he wiped his tears away, put the chain on, and went back into the living room. Everyone looked at him.
"I wanted to give you something. It's probably not as great as your gift, but I want you to keep it. As a reminder of me. Joey and Tristan, I want to give you a gold ring. They had been going through my family for years. Tea, I want to give you this bracelet, it belonged to my mother. Yugi, I give you my most precious treasure. My crown, "said Atemu, giving everyone their presents." But Atemu, I can't accept that, "stammered Yugi, examining the crown." What is a treasure made of gold worth if you have no friends? ", Atemu asked smiling and grabbed his chain. Tea came to tears. Everyone thanked him.
This Christmas was probably one of the most beautiful that the friends had ever experienced. But everyone knew that Pharaoh's time was running out. They knew that it would soon be time, Atemu had to go back to ancient Egypt. That was certain. And everyone would be very sad about it, but they accept this, even if it was not difficult for them ...
