"I don't know. But we should go to Kaede, maybe she will know what to do!" he decided. Inuyasha walked on through the forest that was named after him, followed by Kagome, Sango, Miroku and Shippo. Through the forest in which he and Kikyo once died and thus nourished Narake with their hatred for one another.In the village of Kaede

Everyone was sitting with Kaede around a small fire that they had burned in their hut to keep them warm. Kagome had reported to her that they couldn't find any more demons and now Kaede sat there, silent and motionless. Suddenly she raised her eyes and looked sadly at Inuyasha and Kagome. "Kagome, Inuyasha ... ... all demons are collected, even Narake you could defeat the most powerful demon ever. Now your task is done. Have you ever looked at your collected splinters?" Inu Yasha and Kagome looked at each other. Kagome shook his head. "No, I haven't been able to see the splinters since our battle with Narake. We all ...... especially Inu Yasha ... .. were so badly injured, so I gave Inu Yasha two splinters so that his wounds could heal faster." Kaede nodded : "It's okay, Kagome. But now it's time to add the splinters to the jewel of the four souls and decide what to do with them." Kaede looked down and looked at Miroku, Sango and Shippo one after the other.When the three nodded to her, Kaede continued: "Kagome, now you have to fulfill your true destiny ....... because YOU are the priestess who protects the jewel." Kagome was startled: "No! I can't do that! I will also decide Inu Yasha's fate!". Inuyasha jumped up and pulled Kagome up with her. 'What shoud that? Is he hugging me really tight? Is it happening now ???? Will he finally kiss me now ????? ' thought Kagome and felt her heart start beating harder and harder. "Kagome, please don't think about me and our friends anymore. Kaede is right, it is your destiny! And we all know that you will make the right decision! Narake, the demons, all that is now unimportant! Because everything for me You count! And now take the splinters and fulfill your destiny! " Inuyasha whispered in her ear and hugged her tightly again. Then he pulled her hand toward him, opened it, and placed the two splinters in her hand that Kagome had given him to heal his wounds.He looked deeply into her eyes again and left Kaede's hut with Tessaiga in his arms.

Kagome nodded slowly, then put Inu Yasha's and her jewel splinters on the floor and shouted: "Jewel of the four souls, wake up !!!". The splinters shot upwards in a huge cone of light. Surrounded by glaring light, the splinters came together again.

"Kagome? Kagome ??? Kagome, are you all right ?!" Kagome only heard Shippo's words as if in a trance, she was still staring at the reassembled jewel in her hand! When she had recovered, she looked at Kaede. "What should I do with him now, Kaede?" Kaede just looked at Miroku and nodded to him.

'When Inuyasha finally discovered Narake's weak point, namely the spider-shaped burn scar on his back, after an almost endless fight, Inuyasha was able to deal the fatal blow with Tessaiga. When Narake died, Inu Yasha and I not only got the last splinters of the jewel and thus freed humanity from the demons, Miroku's black hole also finally closed.Not only was he freed from the curse, but he finally became a priest with full abilities. "Kagome, why are you asking us? You already know what you are going to do with the jewel! Didn't you?" Replied Miroku in Kaede's place. Kagome looked around again, then nodded. "Sango, Miroku, Shippo and especially you, Kaede, sorry, but I only helped to collect the jewel shards for one reason. ....... I want to fulfill Inu Yasha's greatest wish." She answered Miroku's indirect question and ran with tears in the eyes outside to Inuyasha.

The constant fights, the demons, everything has an end!" she said to him. Then she walked slowly and carefully towards him. Slowly she raised her hand and carefully touched his cheek. Inside, she was afraid he might slap her hand away. But Inu Yasha's body only trembled slightly. He looked at her sadly but lovingly.
"Kagome, ... it's just ... .. I'm just scared that I'll lose you now." Inuyasha stammered with downcast eyes.Kagome was frozen. She had wished to hear such words from him, but never believed them. She frantically organized her thoughts. She had to tell him now.
"Inuyasha, please listen to me now. I only collected the jewel shards for one reason: for you !!!". When Inuyasha wanted to reply something, she pressed her forefinger gently to his mouth and continued with bowed head: "I could feel your pain how it hurt not to be accepted by anyone. The demons hated you because you were half human and people hated you because you were half a demon. I can understand your wish to become a full-fledged demon, that's why I collected the splinters for you. And ... because I love you !!!! ". The last words just burst out of her. For too long she had suppressed her feelings for Inuyasha. But suddenly she was frightened. Inuyasha looked angry. Was he mad now because she loved him ???"Ummm ...... i ... I know that you ..... love Kikyo and I can understand that too ... only I can't help my feelings, Inu Yasha." she stuttered on.

"Kagome! Are you totally nuts?" he suddenly yelled at her. But it didn't sound angry ... rather worried. He took her face in his hands and pulled her closer to him. “Kagome, you shouldn't have put yourself in such danger because of me. You could have died doing it…. And I would never have forgiven myself.” Inuyasha came closer to Kagome with his face, so that the tips of their noses touched. "Kagome, if I became human for you, would you be able to live here with me?" he asked her and looked deep into her eyes. Kagome felt her face blush more and more. "But, but you wanted to become a full-fledged demon! If you become a human, you lose all your strength!" she pleaded with Inuyasha. He shook his head resolutely: "No, because if I do that, I may hurt you and that would be the worst thing that could happen to me!Besides, I just thought that I love Kikyo, it wasn't until I got to know them that I also learned what true love is! Please tell me, do you want to live with me too? ". Kagome's head was spinning, she was overwhelmed by her feelings and 'Inu Yasha's words. But she knew one thing: she loved him more than anything and wanted nothing more than to live with him." Yes, I can, because I do love you more than my life! "Kagome replied and pressed the jewel into his hand. Inu Yasha dropped the jewel and pulled Kagome closer and closer." Thank you! I love you too, Kagome! "He replied. When he kissed Kagome for the first time, the jewel burst and the red ball of light danced faster and faster around the two of them, until Inuyasha and Kagome were surrounded by a glistening ray of red light.

When they slowly separated from each other, Kagome saw that Inu Yasha's wish had come true ....... He had become human!

Later that evening, when the others were long asleep, Kagome woke up from their dreams.She looked next to her, but Inuyasha was no longer there. Without thinking of putting on anything, she ran out. ....

Inuyasha lay in a meadow and stared at the starry sky. "What are you doing out here?" Kagome asked him. Without straightening up or looking at Kagome, he replied, "What will happen to your family now? They still live in the future and without the splinter you will probably never be able to see them again!" He grabbed Kagome's hand and squeezed it tightly before continuing: "I'm afraid that you will hate me for it and leave me!". Tears came to Kagome's eyes. "Oh Inuyasha, I could never hate you, I love you too much for that!" she calmed him down and knelt beside him. "Apart from that, with the help of Kaede, Miroku has ensured that access to the future is maintained and that we can jump back and forth at any time!". Inuyasha pulled her relieved and kissed her passionately.

In Kaede's hut"Well, I understand that Kagome and Inuyasha are kissing, but what are you doing now, Miroku?" Shippo asked while he watched the two intently through the window. Miroku, who was also tensing, turned white and red at the same time. "This is not for minors !!! Close your eyes!" he yelled at Shippo and pushed him violently away from the window.
