Dorra wandered half the day through the city and watched the people who lived in her. She had taken food from the woman's house and had a little bad conscience about it, but she needed something to eat on her trip.
She had seen things that frightened her and yet she saw joy in the city.
She was just watching a mother who gave her two children a small piece of bread and how the children's eyes began to shine, she just couldn't explain it, the children couldn't get enough of so little, could they? but then she thought of the woman's kitchen and how little food she had. Is this normal here? She wondered, thinking about how lavishly they were eating in the palace."It's not always like that. She can only bring as much food twice a week at the most." Dorra whirled around and started into Andre's face, which was frowning at her.
