Chapter: The awakening

The awakening

Time seemed to stand still, everything was frozen. He brushed the tear off her chin and looked into her eyes. Tired. She would be so tired. The last thing she saw before falling asleep was the stranger's face; his eyes seemed to shine.

When she woke up she couldn't move. Her name was called softly. "Loraniel." 'Who ...' she wondered in her mind. "Wake up! PLEASE." The 'please' worked like a magic word, because
her muscles moved slowly as if by magic. “Yes.” She sat bolt upright on the soft, large bed. The sheet was speckled with red stains. It looked like flower petals on a white, soft varnish. But it was blood. Loraniel jumped up and looked around. This wasn't her room, nor was it the place she wanted to go. Where was she? "Where ..." "Where are you?" A connection to this quiet voice germinated in her. She thought she was alone, which gave her a fright, but she must have been wrong.Someone stepped out of the shadows and bowed her deeply. Loraniel looked around, frightened like a deer. When she noticed that her nakedness was not properly covered, she fled behind one of the thick brocade curtains. The man was gone. “You're quick.” It sounded puzzled. She eyed the man in front of her. 'So fast ... that can't be! How could a newly infected one follow me with the naked eye so well? 'His mind was racing. He looked spellbound at Loraniel. She was petite, not too small but also not as tall as the man who was standing in front of her. “Little one, you don't have to be afraid of me. I won't hurt you!” Nevertheless, she pressed herself against the window behind her so as not to come into contact with him. “You don't know who I am?” Hissed this petite little person courageously. “Yes, I know, very well.” He was getting closer and closer. Bit by bit. Taking one step at a time. She ran away from the window and looked at him."Don't come closer or I'll scream !!" He came closer, but she didn't scream. “I wouldn't do that if I were you.” She was just startled because he was standing right behind her. She could feel his breath on her neck. It felt warm and soft. As beguiling as a thick, sugar-sweet vanilla pudding. She led him when she saw how she reacted to him. "Get away from me! And who are you anyway to allow yourself this? To hold me tight here !! What an insolence !!" She yelled at him and tried to get away from him, but he held her tight. Like vices, those strong arms forced her to stand still and defiantly look the man in the eyes, like a child. "I am amazed that you don't ask me for my name, but that ..." "I don't even want to know you !! neither your name nor you !!" She said this, without thinking, wanted to take it back and she could no more. Apologizing to such a rude man was beneath her dignity, she told herself. She noticed the red tinge in the brown eyes. Saw how slowly anger flared up in them. When his eyes turned almost blood red, she was startled and struggled one last time. Without success. She remained trapped like an animal trapped in a trap that meant its death. "What are you doing?" She breathed as his face approached hers. He didn't answer, just looked her in the eye. Those lovely eyes. Her cheeks turned red when she realized what he was up to. He wanted to kiss her. HE!! YOU!!! His breath caressed your lips, but shortly before his lips could taste hers, she kicked him on the shin as hard as she could, which wasn't really useful without shoes, but he let go of her and took a few steps backwards. "I'm sorry. I forgot myself," he tried to apologize. "You should be sorry too! If my ... my ... father ..." She finished the sentence abruptly and looked out the window. "Why didn't you leave me alone?“Her voice sounded soft and calm.“ You passed out in my arms and so I brought you to me, mon petit. "He watched her calmly." Right, your eyes ... and then ... then I got tired. "Loraniel held her head as this started to hurt like crazy. She got dizzy and her feet gave way. She was on the back of the bed a lot and was in a trance." What have you done to me? "A faint gasp escaped her lips. He stood over her and watched her. When he didn't answer and just continued to watch her with his red eyes she got scared." Who are you? "'Or what are you,' she added in her mind. He was standing right in front of the bed and looked coldly down at Loraniel." My name is Allesandro. "He said nothing more. It seemed as if he was waiting for something, something that was very important to him. Allesandro waited silently and did not take his eyes off Loraniel for a second." What do you want from me? Let me go!", pleaded Loraniel, but he just waited patiently for a little miracle. Loraniel, on the other hand, began to toss and gasp for air that didn't seem to exist. She snapped like a fish out of water for the valuable element .

After hours, it seemed to Loraniel, the cramps and pain stopped. All the lights flickered, but no window was open. The curtains also fluttered gently, as if caught in a fresh breeze. Everything looked so gray, like a black and white picture, a beautiful picture. Flowers bloomed on the walls, blood-red camellias. It took hours before she calmed down and lay still on the bed, breathing deeply. Alessandro looked at her, fascinated. It blossomed here, before his eyes. Like those flowers on the walls, it opened and it caught his breath. She was young and ignorant yet so seductive.

"How are you, ..." he said with a dry throat and a rough voice from demand. He paused for a moment, as if reconsidering what he was saying."... my daughter?" asked Allesandro gently. She ran her tongue over her luscious lips and looked spellbound at Alessandro.
