Chapter: ...
It was a boring Saturday morning here again. As always. I've been going to this boarding school for a year and every day brought nothing new, at least for me. Back then, my mother said it was better for me to come here so that I could finally become more open and not so reserved. What she didn't know was that she had achieved exactly the opposite of that. However, I also knew that she actually wanted to get rid of me so that she could spend more time with her new boyfriend, whom I didn't like. I was quite an outsider at this boarding school, I didn't really know why, but somehow hardly anyone liked me. I often lay awake at night and wondered why? 'Unfortunately, I've never really found an answer to that. The only one who liked me was my roommate Sarah. We got along great from day one here. She was also somehow different from the others here. However, she was also the most popular girl here.I often ask myself why she then messes with me, but actually I'm just glad that at least someone here liked me. In our boarding school there were of course not only girls, it would be bad if it was an all-girls boarding school; But somehow none of them liked me. I sat alone in the class, because when I came Sarah was already sitting next to a boy who seemed to like her very much. Of course she drove all boys crazy anyway. Back to today, as I said, it was dead boring here again, Sarah had gone to town with a couple of friends and of course they didn't want me with them. So I sat down on our windowsill, from which one had a wonderful view, and took a book to read. After a while I didn't feel like it anymore, I hadn't really understood any of the sentences from it, I was simply too unfocused. So I decided to go downstairs and see what was going on.Dreamy as I am, of course, I hadn't paid attention to whether someone came towards me until I suddenly ran into someone. I turned around. "Sorry, I wasn't paying attention. I'm really sorry." I looked up and looked into two beautiful sea blue eyes. I stood there rooted to the spot and didn't know what to say anymore. The boy, however, just looked at me grimly and walked on. I looked him up and wondered why he had given me such an angry look. 'I apologized. 'So I shrugged and walked on. Sarah was back in the evening. Since she knew almost everyone here, I asked her, "I accidentally bumped into someone today. But I didn't know him. He was tall, blond hair, beautiful blue eyes and slim." Sarah looked at me and mused, "Hmm .. I'm sorry, as good as it sounds, I haven't seen it yet either. "I didn't think about it any more and went to bed.Every time I closed my eyes, I saw those blue eyes again and how grim they stared at me. Then sometime around eleven thirty I fell asleep.
The next morning I woke up and looked at the alarm clock. 'Hm .. Not until eight o'clock ..' I then forced myself to get up and get ready.
I went down to breakfast and ate a little. I looked around the empty dining room and suddenly saw him again. He was sitting a few tables away from me, talking to the headmistress. Unfortunately, I couldn't hear anything of the conversation. I stared at him for a while and didn't even notice how he suddenly looked at me. I quickly looked away and brought my tray to wash up. What I hadn't expected was that he would suddenly be doing the dishes at the same time. “Why were you staring at me like that all the time?” I went rigid and just said, “So? Did I?” He just looked at me and shook his head, 'that didn't come across very convincingly, I stupid'.I quickly went upstairs to Sarah from the dining room. She seemed to have just got up because her hair was still looking tousled. She smiled at me and said, "You were up early this morning, though." I smiled back and just said, "I know." Sunday. The only day of the week that I could be so happy about. This is the day ONLY Sarah and I did something together. Of course, the others were always pretty angry and asked them all the time how they can deal with me. But Sarah didn't seem to care. I told her about the boy I had met again. She listened with interest and persuaded me to go back to the dining room. But when we got there he was no longer inside. So we finally started our day together.
In the evening I fell into bed again, totally exhausted. "The day was really fun today. I didn't think you could talk me into so much."She smiled at me again." I really enjoyed it too. Look forward to what I think of next Sunday. "I looked at her and asked curiously," Do you have anything in mind? "" Um, yes ... something like that. But let yourself be surprised. "So she went into the bathroom and fell asleep pretty quickly. In the morning the alarm clock brought me out of my dreams carelessly. So I went back to the bathroom and down to breakfast. The room was jam-packed. I was used to sitting alone there Sarah almost never had breakfast. So after I was done I went to my first history lesson. God, how I hated history. Our class teacher greeted us with a "good morning". But this time she didn't start with the material right away , but told us something about a new student she wanted to bring in. She didn't tell us anything about him. She went out. The girls all began to whisper and wonder if he looked good. Sarah beamed at me and waited eagerly.Sarah has gotten around every boy she wanted so far. Our class teacher came back, shortly behind her a blond, tall boy with beautiful blue eyes appeared. All the girls beamed at him, it looked like they were already adoring him. The teacher began to say "This is Marc Schulz" You could hear the girls 'Marc' sighing from all sides. “I hope that you will treat him well and that a couple of you will show him the building.” The girls started talking wildly again. I turned to Sarah and tried to break her staring at Marc. "Hey. Pssss. Sarah. Hey Sarah." She turned around to me, slightly irritated. "What is it?" "That was the guy I told you about." "Oh you lucky. You have known him for a few days longer. He's really cute." There was no point in talking to Sarah any longer, so sat down I calmly go back to my place. 'I admit that he didn't look bad, but as grim as he looked at me when we collided, I wasn't interested in getting to know him better. The only thing that fascinated me about him were his beautiful blue eyes. 'The teacher slowly managed to calm the class down. “Now shut up at last.” The class slowly began to calm down. "Ok, and now let's see who we're sitting next to. Hm, the only space that is still free is the one next to Marie." I turned to the empty space next to me and watched as Marc sat down next to me. All the girls began to protest violently why he should sit next to me, they would all like to swap places with me. "Quiet! Quiet! Nobody turns around here. Oh yes, and Marie?" "Um, yes Ms. Müller?" "Would you be so nice and could show him the building?" I swallowed. "Sure, no problem." I lied. And again the girls only complained. Marc leaned over to me and asked "Why are they really making such a fuss about me?" I smiled uncertainly and said, "Well, I guess because they think you look pretty good."He grinned at me and blushed." Why is he so nice to me all of a sudden ??? Why? I don't understand. "The rest of the class was reasonably calm, only here and there a few whispered excitedly with each other. After the lesson I decided to show him everything, but I shouldn't really have believed that the other girls weren't up to it. So they pulled him out of the room as soon as he got up. I shrugged my shoulders and said nothing to myself Bad. I was spared at least one thing. "I went upstairs to my room and surprisingly met Sarah." Why are you not lagging behind this Marc? "" Oh, you know Marie, I've been watching him the whole hour, but he doesn't even seem to have looked around to see if any girl likes him. That's why I somehow lost interest, besides, you know that my heart actually belongs to Basti. "She smiled sheepishly. I was glad that at least one of the class was back to normal."Oh Marie?" "Yes?" "Could you tell Frau Schneider that I'm at the dentist?" "Sure, that's no problem." "Thanks" During the lunch break I went downstairs and sat down at my table again where I was sat all alone. Suddenly Marc came in, and the girls all slipped up and shouted, "This is Marc. There is still a space available here." He looked around and went straight to my table. I was just hoping, 'Please pass by, please pass by. 'Unfortunately, that didn't help. He promptly sat down at my table and I couldn't see how quickly all the girls were arguing who was allowed to sit next to him. So he took his tray and sat on the edge of the table next to me. "And now sit down at last," he said in an unfriendly tone. I was paralyzed and couldn't get a bite down. He looked at me and asked very grimly “Shouldn't YOU show me the building?” I looked at him and suddenly couldn't answer him anymore, it was as if his eyes had bewitched me.I left the room as quickly as possible and ran up to my room. There I threw myself on the bed and could no longer think clearly. 'Why am I only talking rubbish when I look at him? Or do I get no more sound out? What's wrong with me? 'I didn't understand anything anymore. I went into the bathroom and first of all had nice hot water for bathing. After the bath, I immediately felt a lot more relaxed. I was glad that we only had school until just before lunch today. 'At least I only have to see him in class and while eating. 'I got dressed and went downstairs. A cluster had formed around the board where the messages for upcoming exams or other things stood. When the grape got smaller I was finally able to read the note that everyone found so exciting.
It said 'On June 27th at 8 p.m. there will be a ball in the dining room. The boys have to distribute flowers to the girl they want to go to the ball with. Everyone has to take part, with evening dress and everything that goes with it.The boarding
