Chapter: ...

It was a lovely Monday morning. The sun was shining in my bedroom and I couldn't help but get up. I also whistled happily to myself on the way to school. I didn't love school, but Monday was one of those days of the week when the theater group took place. And I loved the theater. I loved to slip into many different roles, even if I like to be myself.
I led this theater group and this year we were supposed to do a fairy tale performance again. We hadn't quite decided what to take yet. But we still had a week to make our decision. Our group consisted of 15 people, all of whom, in my opinion, were very talented. Our performances hit every time.
Today we finally wanted to decide on a fairy tale. Shortly before school I met Takato-kun.

"Yuri-chan my darling."

I groaned.

'Not him again. He runs after me every day at school. 'We were in a class.
I was even in love with him once, but that was a long time ago. He never paid any attention to me then. He's noticed me for the first time since I started the theater company because he got into it pretty early on. He's been following me for half a year now.

I somehow managed to take him off and get into class. Immediately Maron greeted me with a warm greeting.

"Well Yuri-chan, did you manage to hang out from Takato-kun again ?!"

she grinned.

"Yeah, but I'm afraid he'll show up here in a minute."

No sooner had I said these words than he walked into the classroom.

"Here you are my little mouse."

I quickly sat down in my seat.

"Don't always run away, my sparrow."

He grinned cheekily and pulled a chair to my table.

"So my angel, do you already know what kind of play we're going to play? How about ..."

He brooded for a moment.

".. Snow White. Then I can at least kiss you."I just replied coolly.

"1. We don't decide what we're going to play until this afternoon and 2. How do you know that you are going to play the leading role?"
"I have a feeling, you, my Snow White and I, your prince."

He moved closer to me.

"Um ... I think you'd better go to your place now, lessons are about to start."

I said quickly to get rid of him.

"Don't worry my darling, I'll leave in time."

He stroked my cheek, but I flinched away. Two seconds later the doorbell rang.

At around 4.30 p.m. we, the theater group, met in the gym. We first discussed which fairy tale to play.

“I would suggest Snow White.” Takato-kun gave me a cheeky grin. Other suggestions that were made were Hansel and Gretel, Cinderella, Little Muck, The Wolf and the 7 Little Goats, Robin Hood, Alice in Wonderland, Sleeping Beauty, the girl with the wonder woods and many others. We voted on 5 short-listed fairy tales. Most of the votes finally got Sleeping Beauty.

"Ok guys, now we should start with the distribution of roles right away. How do we want to do that?"

I asked. Kagome suggested.

"I would say we quickly write notes where all the actors, substitutes, those who are supposed to be responsible for the lighting and the sound and also those who sew the costumes and such."

I agreed. After half an hour we had written everyone down on pieces of paper. Everyone drew a piece of paper. I opened mine.

'Oh, I can play Sleeping Beauty. Cool.'
"Ok. I'll write all of the roles here on the board."

I stood at the blackboard and wrote down.

"Takato-kun? What is your role?"
"Me? I am the prince."
'No, what must I have such bad luck?'

When Takato saw my role, he beamed.

"Well, there's still a piece of paper left."
'The prince's substitute role has not yet been filled.Well no matter. Takato-kun won't get sick that day anyway. '

We prepared everything so far. I let myself write a script for it. I wanted to stay true to the original as much as possible, so I borrowed Sleeping Beauty from the library.

I sat on the script half the night until I finally went to sleep at around 11.30pm.
Shortly before school I went to a copy shop to copy the script. I handed them out at school. You should read it through and tell me how you found it when we meet next. Takato arrived right away and said.

"I don't really need a script, the kiss is the only most important thing and I don't need a script for that."

It shook me a little at the thought that he was going to kiss me.
Our teacher asked us to take a seat.

"I want to introduce you to someone new. By the way, Yuri-san, he's coming to your theater company."

I was a bit surprised, but I was also happy about every new talent."Well, may I introduce that this is Hourai Mikado. He will be going to our school from today. Hourai, please have a seat there."

The teacher pointed to an empty seat next to Takato-kun. I was immediately fascinated by him. He had a beautiful charisma and there was something else about him that totally cast a spell on me, which apparently wasn't just me, some girls couldn't take their eyes off him either. Unfortunately I couldn't get to know him better that day because I was very busy.

The next morning I woke up with a smile again because this time there were two things I could look forward to today. On the one hand today was our meeting of the theater group and on the other hand I will get the chance to get to know Hourai Mikado better. Once again I had managed to hang out Takato-kun and get into the classroom. But just as I was about to go into our room, I ran into Hourai.I could only

"Sorry"

stammer. He smiled sweetly at me and went on.
After class, it was time for our theater group again. Hourai met with Takato-kun. I told Hourai about our play which we wanted to play and what else we do in the theater group. His first question on it was.

"Is there still a role available in your play?"

I thought for a moment and was already desperate when it suddenly occurred to me that we don't have the second line-up of the prince.

"Yes, you could play the substitute role for the prince. We still have that open in case Takato-kun should get sick."

Takato immediately interjected.

"Don't worry my darling, I definitely won't be sick that day."

He grinned cheekily, winked and threw me a kiss.

'Oh man, Hourai must think we're together. Why can't Takato-kun just leave me alone? Should he take someone else. '

I sighed."Ok guys, I would say we'll go through the scenes roughly. It can't hurt to have spoken the text."

Everyone agreed with me. So we rehearsed the piece once. When we got to the kissing scene and Takato-kun was about to kiss me awake, I said quickly.

"Ok, that's enough for today. The rest is all right."

Takato-kun looked at me.

"But I want to get my kiss."

I just hissed back.

"You will get it when we perform our piece."

He seemed a little offended and walked off the stage. I gave the people who were supposed to make the costumes, instructions on how to imagine them and then left.

I was just out of the gym when I heard my name.

"Hey, Yuri please wait."

I turned and saw Hourai. My heart leaped for joy. When he was standing almost breathless in front of me, I asked him.

"So what's going on?"
"I have a few more questions about the theater company and I thought you were the best person to talk to.""Sure, always out with it."

I said with joy.

"Do we want to go a little while doing this?"

He offered me his arm, I hooked myself up, smiled at him and we went off.

"How long has the theater group been around?"

he asked interested. I thought for a moment.

"So for about 1½ years. And it wasn't a mistake to found them, even if we still had a few problems at the beginning. We used to be a few more."
"And have you been in charge of it since the beginning?"
"Yes, it was my idea to start a theater group. Even as a small child, I absolutely loved the theater and always wanted to do the theater myself."
"How are the roles determined for you? I mean, many would like to play the main role."

He asked curiously.

"Well, that is different, so either we draw lots or sometimes we also vote who we think is most suitable for the role, or in the rarest of cases do I choose it. It is very different. I am the head of the theater group But I don't want you to think that I'm the boss.I give my group a lot of codecision rights. I think that's very important, rather that way than when the group is not satisfied that you do everything this way and that. "
"OK, I understood."

He smiled at me again, like we did when we collided. I smiled back and we walked a little more through the park and talked.

A week later we finally started rehearsing properly, still without costumes, but that didn't matter. Most of them had learned their lines well and rarely needed help. And if they did get a hangover, Marron whispered the text to them. Maron was my understudy and since she had nothing else to do, she just played prompter. We got through well with the play, but I stopped again at the kissing scene and we immediately continued with the scene where the prince and Sleeping Beauty got married. Again, I left out the kissing scene. Takato was a little offended and said.

"If we never practice the kissing scenes, at some point I'll totally forget when it's even their turn. They are also part of the piece and we should also practice them. "
"Don't worry, I told you before that the kissing scenes were done during the performance."
'Even if I don't really feel like it.'

I thought to myself.

"Ok, Mika-chan *, Ma-chan * 1 and the other second casts, it's your turn to practice now. So that you have played the piece too."

They nodded to me. They also played the piece very well.

We still had a month before our performance.
After a few more days, we finally had our costumes, the sets were also ready. And we were finally able to start rehearsing "properly".
After another week, our piece was perfect and there were only a few days left before the performance.

On a day when we all wanted to meet again to practice, nobody came. The only two who were there were Mika-chan and I, which
