An endless Tale III
永遠 の 物語

A little foreword:
Hi guys :)
Actually, this is a kind of doujinshi that I will send as an idea to the Norwegian publisher Schibsted Forlagene AS. I write the "Roman Version" in German to see in advance how it will go down with you.
I can say so much about the story:
The whole thing takes place on earth, but the earth is not yet as we know it. It is divided into four world empires and there are no "pure-bred" people living there, only crossroads such as z. B. Ryou is a cross between a dragon and a human. I used some Japanese myths and other legends can be found here as well.
This is the third part of "An endless Tale" and marks the beginning of the world we know. I will definitely write the predecessors "An endless Tale I and II", it depends on how well my saga is going and how much I can think of. The latter should be less of a problem :)I had the idea in my head for a long time and really wanted to get it down on paper in both a written and a figurative sense. I wish you a lot of fun with my three part "Eien no Monogatari" saga ^ - ^

Prologue:

The night darkness had already settled over the eastern world empire which is only called "Kaze no Higashikuni" by all inhabitants of the earth. It was spring and the fog covered the meadows and forests of the country like a soft blanket.
When the North Star finally began to shine brightly and strongly, the young Tatsuya Ryou finished his work on some old documents. They were ancient traditions that were written in an ancient language and were only understood by a few of the dragon people. Tatsuya Ryou was a descendant of the ancient dragon family, he was a dragon halfling and lived a modest life.
Ryou was not a scholar, but he translated the old scriptures in a hurry and added his own interpretations.A girl went into Ryou's work room and lit a few candles. She shook her head gently so that her red hair, made of feathers, rustled softly. As always, Ryou worked in the semi-darkness. It was a stupid habit, even if he had good eyesight as a dragon halfling.
She herself was a descendant of the old phoenix family, a phoenix halfling by the name of Oohi Mishou, and had only seen eighteen years of age.
Slowly she read through the last paragraph of the document. Mishou seemed very surprised at this one.
"An endless story ?! Ryou-kun, say, do you really think our story is endless? Will we live forever and appear in it?" She asked.
Ryou shook his head with a smile and put the quill back into the still full ink bottle, he looked at his girlfriend and replied:
"No, at some point we will die too. But this story will go on forever. We are only protagonists on this earth and what we are depends on us.Whether or not you can remember our names later after we have disappeared and new people have taken our seats depends on us and our actions. "
"And what if this story does come to an end at some point? Wouldn't it be possible that our world would be destroyed one day?", Mishou asked further.
She had a sense of drama and tried desperately to bring a little bit of drama into situations like this. Not that she wished for dark times, on the contrary, but for an imaginative girl like her, such imaginations were a pleasure.
"It is quite possible that there will be an end at some point," Ryou answered after thinking for a moment, "that is exactly what I am trying to find out. But if there is a day like this, then it is still far away."
"So the possibility really exists ?!"
The Phoenix Halfling was unable to read what was in the ancient texts. She would probably not really understand the meaning of it either, if even Ryou had his problems with it.The dragon halfling had to propose theses on his own. Sometimes even more pages were written about his interpretations than the original text was long.
It was generally known on earth that there were four world empires and that these were ruled by four great rulers who are said to be descended from ancient gods. These four great rulers ruled their countries in harmony and unity with one another. The last great wars were already more myths than legends and almost forgotten.
It's been a long time since you saw one of the four great rulers in person. For a while now, rumors have been going around that these four kings no longer exist and that the highest servants have taken over the command.

Ryou had found and translated old documents about the saga of "endless history", but the information on how this world order and the kingdoms came about was sparse or even incomplete and on top of that confused the minds of the readers.By now it was almost clear to Ryou that the four kings no longer existed. The only thing missing was proof of his theory.
The souls of the four great rulers of the world empires have been separated from their bodies and their souls are said to be enclosed in the sacred crystal balls.
Such a crystal ball was immediately recognizable for Ryou, because the crystal from which the sacred balls were made was so rare that it could hardly be found on earth.
The dragon halfling just hadn't set out to find these sacred objects. He had no idea where to go to begin his search. Most likely, if the bullets existed, they were in the hands of thieves or other outlaws.
Mishou tore the young dragon halfling from his thoughts as she read aloud a tablet from an ancient legend:

"In the east the dragon shines like the azure sky in spring,
In the south the elf sparkles like black onix in the mountains,In the west the phoenix shines like scarlet purgatory in the volcano and
In the north, the cat glitters like silver ice in a glacier.
Do not disturb the harmony between the elements that have survived time and space,
Laying the foundations of the earth and bringing peace to earth.
If you do, her anger will devour you.
When the spirits come back to life, they will be engulfed in their frenzy
And only the chosen one can make a new life blossom out of ashes.
Bring four treasures, O chosen one, to the Holy Shrine and
The opened gate will save the world or
To be annihilation ...
"

"It's just a legend, Mishou. Don't try to see too deep a meaning in it. In every legend there is a grain of truth, that is correct, but there is no quarrel between the great kings. The last sentences are still missing, they were so confusing that I haven't dared to translate it into our language yet. And if I had, you would be more relaxed now, poor Mishou ... ", Ryou explained when he saw Mishou's expression. His interpretation of this tablet was over a hundred pages long. There wasn't just one idea he had, but several. Mishou smiled uncertainly, she too had enough imagination and brains to think of many dark results that this legend could bring with it.
"After all, there are the ... the four world empires aren't there ?! As long as there are our four world empires, this earth will last, right?" She asked.
Ryou nodded: "As long as there is still justice, this world will exist. As long as there is still hope and only one being who fights for the good and the right, there will be our world."

"But times change. The seven empires were destroyed but only four were rebuilt ...

Times change ...
"
