Chapter: Escape

Chapter 1: Escape

Another day. A day like any other before. Full of pain and fear. Yes, my life is not what you could call a 'happy life'. In a happy life, you don't get hit, you don't get abused, you don't get locked up. Every day means to have to endure new suffering for me. I'll be in pain again. Again I'll lock myself up to protect myself. I have to get away from him. Get away from my dad because he's the one who hurts me. Day after day. He doesn't care if I scream or cry. But why? Why is he doing this? Since my mother died 3 years ago, my life has been hell. He blames me for her death, but I couldn't help it. I was only 15 years old at the time. If she hadn't protected me, she wouldn't be dead, he always says. I couldn't help it that she threw me out of the car so I could survive. Had I been able to choose I would have stayed with her.But none of that interests him. That's exactly why I made a decision. I will go. No matter where, just get away from here and from him. He'll look for me, but can't find me. Otherwise he will surely put an end to my life. While I was thinking about it, I packed my things in a large backpack. I only packed the bare essentials. Clothes, food and some private things. I looked at the clock. It showed 9:00 p.m. My father is not at home, he is once again sitting in his local bar and letting himself go. This is my chance to run away. I went down to the kitchen and grabbed 2,000 yen from a hiding place. I hid them here for emergencies at the time, and this is an emergency. While I was preparing everything for the escape, I was watched by my wolf Shiro. Back then I found him abandoned in the forest. The little one was injured and I just didn't want to let him lie there, after all, he was still a puppy.I took him home and raised him. Besides my friend Sakura, he was my most loyal friend. He always understood what was going on in me and sometimes I had the feeling that he understood exactly what I was saying. I would take him with me, I couldn't leave him here with this person and I didn't want to. I packed the money and went to the door, closely followed by Shiro. I put his muzzle back on him. People were afraid of him, they were afraid he might attack them and that only because he was a wolf. Shiro would never harm anyone unless they wanted to hurt me. I didn't need a leash because he followed me without me saying anything. I knew he wouldn't just run away, I knew him too well for that. I turned back to say goodbye because this house belonged to my mother. Then I went with Shiro. We went to the train station because I lived in downtown Tokyo. I bought a ticket and got on the train.Shiro lay down at my feet and made no sound. I don't know how long we drove, but after an infinitely long time for me we arrived at the last stop. This is where I wanted to go, this is where I would get off. I got up from my seat and Shiro and I got off the train. When we came out of the train station, I caught my breath for a moment. Here it was - to put it mildly - beautiful! There was so much nature here, wide meadows, trees, fields. Yes that was the right place for me and Shiro. Here I was finally able to take Shiro off his muzzle. After I did that, we moved on. Finally, we needed a place to stay. Just where? I continued down the street to a large staircase. Where is it going? "Shiro, what do you mean, should we go up there and see what's up there?" I knew he understood. Which he made clear to me with a bark on his part. All right then let's go on it. We walked slowly up the stairs. Once at the top, a beautiful and large temple complex stretched out in front of us. We could definitely stay here. However, when I looked at the clock and it showed 11 pm, my hopes for a warm and dry place to stay began to falter. Are the people in this house still awake at all? It is worth a try. I was just walking to the door of the house when a girl with black hair and school uniform came out of the small shrine that was standing there. Well where does it come from? When she saw me she was probably a bit frightened at first, because she winced when she saw me. Otherwise I couldn't imagine it. I estimate the girl to be 15 or 16 years old. Did she live here? I was torn from my thoughts when this girl spoke to me. "Hello, what are you doing here so late?" Should I ask you? Or should I leave it?She looked at Shiro and seemed to be thinking. Before she could say anything about Shiro, I met her first. "He's a wolf. But don't worry, he won't hurt anyone. To get back to your question, I'm looking for a place to stay for today." The girl seemed to think twice, shortly afterwards she smiled at me. "You are welcome to stay with me. My mother will certainly not mind." Now it was my turn to smile. "Thank you, you don't even know how to help me with that. Thanks again." I bowed to her and she directed me to follow her. Before we went into the house, however, she spoke to me again. "By the way, you don't need to Siezen me. By the way, my name is Kagome and what's her name?" "My name is Kimiko, if that's the case you don't need to Siezen me either. I don't really like that" I smiled at her and her did the same to me. She opened the door and we went into the house together. To my surprise, the whole house was still on its feet.Kagome explained to me that they had been waiting for them. Hm but it came out of the shrine? Is that going somewhere? Shiro and I were greeted warmly and we even got something to eat. This family is really nice and they are not afraid of Shiro, despite the fact that he is a wolf. After I and I had finished eating Kagome and we had all introduced each other, Kagome's mother prepared one of the guest rooms for me. "Tell me, Kagome, why did you actually come out of the shrine?" "Oh, I forgot something there and got it quickly." She smiled at me but somehow I had the feeling she wasn't telling the truth. Shiro seemed to be of the same opinion because he cocked his head and looked suspicious. When everything was ready, Kagome's mother led me to the guest room. “Thank you again for letting me stay here.” I bowed briefly to her and after she told me it would of course be in my room.Shiro lay down on the floor to the right of the bed. I put on my pajamas and went to bed. Less than a quarter of an hour later I fell asleep.
I had a strange dream. I was standing in a large meadow with lots of beautiful flowers. It seemed to be a clearing in the forest, around the Wieso there was only forest to be seen far and wide. Should I stop or just keep walking? I just decided to go further. Standing around here wouldn't do me any good anyway. I had only taken two steps when the bushes rustled in front of me. It's definitely just an animal. After all, I'm here in a forest. I stop and wait for the supposed animal to come out of the bushes. But to my amazement, it was not an animal that came out of the forest, but a young man. He was wearing ancient clothes. I would almost say we are from Medieval Japan. He was wearing armor. Carried 1 sword that he apparently had tied on his back.He wore fur over his back. It was so big that you could use it as a blanket. He must have had it from a hunted animal. Where else would he get it from? But the strangest thing about the man was his hair and face and eyes. He had white silver hair. He had tied it in a braid. He had such strange streaks on his face. 2 blue stripes on each cheek. But the most fascinating thing was his eyes. He actually had golden eyes. Really golden eyes. Never in my life have I seen such an eye color in a person. I've never even seen the color of his hair. Just who is he And why do I dream of him? Only now did I notice that the man was not a meter away from me. When I noticed this I winced and automatically took a step back. However, he eyed me for a while. I was watching him when he suddenly held out his hand to me.I don't know why, but I felt like I could trust him. Really I couldn't explain where this feeling came from. But it was there. It is worth a try. I held out my hand to his. Then when we touched a bright light appeared and before I knew what was happening, I was already awake. It was now 5 o'clock in the morning as I could see on the digital clock of the alarm clock, which was on a small cupboard next to my bed. I couldn't sleep now because I was wide awake. This dream was just too strange for me to be able to sleep now. So I decided to get up and take a look at the grounds outside. Shiro noticed we I got up did the same to me. Apparently he wanted to come with me. I put on tight jeans and a baby blue top. I opened the door quietly and snuck out. After all, I didn't want to wake anyone. I went down the stairs and to the entrance door. There I put on my sneakers and quietly opened the door. I read Shiro out first. When we were both outside I quietly closed the door again. The first thing that caught my eye was this big tree that stood in the middle of the temple grounds. I went up to the tree and looked it up and down. This tree must be pretty old. At least that's what he looks like. I stayed by this tree for a while. He exuded such a sense of security. As I was about to leave, I noticed how Shiro was moving towards the shrine from which Kagome had come. "Shiro come back here." I called after him. But he didn't listen to me but kept walking towards him. This is the first time that my loyal friend did not listen to one of my orders. So I ran after him. When I arrived I only saw Shiro jumping into the well. "No Shiro!" He must have broken something, I was sure. To make matters worse, it started to rain and lightning. It was clearly a thunderstorm. Great, that too. I went to the well and looked inside. But to my amazement, Shiro wasn't in the well. "Wait a minute, I saw that he jumped into the well. Where did he go?" Where could he be? I was still leaning over the fountain when it suddenly thundered very violently. I was terrified and lost my balance. Without
