The will to live

Chapter 2 - The will to live

Hello.
Thank you for the clerks for my pictures. And very special thanks to Isahra. I've actually been working on that one picture for half a year. It was also not easy to draw it from the card as a template.
Have fun reading on.

Kemito no longer understood the world. He didn't really want it to be true that his baby wasn't alive after all, even though he knew it.
At that moment on the roof.
The person standing there was clearly Shinato, but different. She then stretched her hands forward and first spoke an Egyptian text. Then she paused briefly and said: "You shall live."
Yugischa, who was meanwhile placed in Kamelia’s arms, suddenly, almost simultaneously with Shinato's words, began to cough and then to scream. Kamelia and Kemito opened their eyes startled and looked at her. The doctors also turned and looked. Yugischa fidgeted and screamed because she was cold. "How can that be?" Kemito wondered, but he was still overjoyed to see the little one screaming.Kamelia hugged the still screaming Yugischa and said softly: "I thank the gods."
Yugischa was then taken by Kamelia to wash her and wrap her in warm blankets. In addition, Kamelia and Kemito were also taken to their own room.
On the roof, Shinato was still looking at the whole hustle and bustle through a small ball that she had created. She looked very pleased. "Nobody will break your will to live. You still have a great future ahead of you." Then she turned and disappeared again in a water vortex.
Kamelia and Kemito were overjoyed. They didn't know how it could be that Yugischa was still alive, but they were happy.
At last it was time. Their first child was here. Maybe her only one, but that wasn't so important now.
A few hours later.
"Sweetheart, how are you feeling?" Kemito asked who was sitting on a chair next to Kamelia's bed. "So far, pretty good. Just a little limp."Said Kamelia with a slight smile.
After a while a sister came in with Yugischa in her arms.
"Here is your little daughter. Congratulations." Said the sister and handed the little bundle into Kemito's hands.
Kemito couldn't find words. He was now holding such a small, weak and delicate being in his arms. He did not say anything. He just looked at Yugischa with big shining eyes. Yugischa had closed her eyes. She was visibly broken from all the examinations.
After a few minutes of looking at it, he went to Kamelia to put it in her arms. Kamelia took it from him, beaming with joy. Kamelia was still weak, but somehow she seemed to forget it at that moment. She looked at Yugischa properly and couldn't take her eyes off her. Just like Kemito. He was spellbound by the little one. Yugischa didn't mind that much. She slept calmly.
After a while there was a knock on the door. The nurse, who was still in the room, opened it.Kamelia and Kemito now looked at the door who came in there. It was the doctor who did the examinations. He had a folder with the test results. "First of all, congratulations on your child," he said. "I now have the test results here. Now little Yugischa is awake. She fidgeted a lot during the tests. Now her size and weight are in the normal range. But there is something else that we have found." He took a short breath and opened another page in the folder, "We have found out that little Yugischa is blind."
"What?" asked Kamelia and Kemito at the same time. At first they thought they had misheard. "Some of the examinations that deal with the eyes and eyesight turned out negative for her. The center of her eye is also white. But that doesn't mean anything. But the results were clearly negative," said the doctor. Kamelia and Kemito were visibly shocked. Now they were so happy that the little one was alive and now this news. "Are you really serious about that?" Kemito asked again. "Yes, I'm sorry. But I can't change the results either. These results are 99.9 percent." Said the doctor who also touched the whole thing on him.
Yugischa had woken up from all the talk. She opened her eyes. Kamelia and Kemito, who had noticed that she had woken up, looked at her expectantly. Yugischa opened her eyes very slowly. Because the room was a bit light. Through all the lamps that were here.
When she opened her eyes completely, everyone could see it. Her eyes were white. Kemito held out his finger. Any normal child would grab it right away. But Yugisha didn't. Because she didn't see it. She also just looked into the void. Kamelia and Kemito now had the certainty that she was blind after all. "The doctor, who felt a little sorry for the whole thing but couldn't change anything, then quietly left the room. The sister, who was still there until then, also left the room. Now Kamelia and Kemito were alone in the room. Neither of them knew how to act now. Nobody had expected that. "Don't worry darling. We'll handle it. Just like we've mastered everything else." Kamelia said finally. Kemito was a little surprised at what she said. But she was right. They both had mastered a lot of situations. So they would handle this situation too. “I love your optimism.” Kemito said and gave Kamelia a kiss.

The days passed.
After a week, Kamelia and Kemito were finally allowed to leave the hospital with Yugischa. In this week. Surely almost all of the employees from their shop had been there and brought them flowers. Yamaki was probably there almost every free minute.
When they were finally allowed to leave the hospital with their little daughter, a car was waiting for them. This collection service was arranged by Yamaki. He didn't want her to overexert the newly grown mother. “If I may ask you?” The driver asked Kamelia and Kemito. While Kemito helped Kamelia into the car, the driver was already packing the luggage into the trunk. When Kamelia was finally inside. Kemito got on too. The driver sat down and drove off.
"Do you know what amazes me?" Kemito asked Kamelia softly. "No what that?"
"Where did Yamaki get all the money from? The service isn't cheap," Kemito stated in surprise. "Yes, you are right. Not so much can have happened in one week. Or could it?" said Kamelia.
After a while they were finally back at their shop and at home at the same time. When they got out, she could hardly believe her eyes. All of the staff and even a few regular customers were there to welcome them. "I think we were gone for a while." Kemito said with wide eyes.Kamelia who then walked around the car with Yugischa in her arms and stood next to Kemito couldn't believe how many people had come at first. "Welcome back home. Come on in. We don't have to stand outside," said Yamaki who came towards them. The driver took care of the luggage.
All the people cleared the way. Kamelia and Kemito weren't really comfortable at first. Why were there so many people here? And besides, why did they suddenly have so many employees? A week ago it was much less. Yamaki went ahead and opened the door for them both. "If you go straight in there then please don't be alarmed. We have rearranged a bit." Yamaki said and slowly opened the door. So Kamelia and Kemito went in and couldn't believe their eyes. A little rearranged was probably an exaggeration. The entire facility was renewed. Starting with the floor up to the cupboards where the most valuable cards were inside.Everything was new.
Kamelia and Kemito couldn't make words so Yamaki just started talking. "Hasn't it turned out beautifully?" he asked with a very confident look. "Yamaki. But how ......" Kemito got no further. He was still overwhelmed. The other people who were still standing outside finally came in and spread out around the shop. The new furnishings made everything look much brighter and more spacious. There was space for everyone in the shop.
"Well that took a while, but we did it all ourselves. Everyone here was involved," Yamaki explained. "But what about the financial thing? It wasn't cheap. All the cupboards and the floor and everything." Asked Kamelia who then walked through the store. "Well, that was not a problem. Shortly after you went to the hospital, some people got in touch who wanted to donate something for you and your baby. Well, more and more of these donations were added because word of your story got around so far.Everyone who was here and who heard about the story was so touched that you finally have a child. And so it happened that the donations got bigger and bigger and we could afford all of this. And only in a week. Even one of the visitors who was here agreed to pay the taxes for you. This is the wealthy bachelor Heiji Sojokame. "Told Yamaki the whole story. Kamelia and Kemito were flat. Even up to him the story got around. And that means something." Heiji Sojokame? "Asked Kamelia again in astonishment." Yes, exactly him. He heard the story and came straight into the shop with a huge suitcase of money. At first I didn't know if I should accept the money. But he assured me that he had put the money back for special purposes. And that he is happy to give it to you. Well, and for these reasons, I accepted the money. Oh yes. You have only seen half of the full extent.Comes with. It continues at the back. "Said Yamaki and ushered Kamelia and Kemito back.
As they walked a few steps and through the curtain, the surprise grew even bigger. The back of the house had been completely rebuilt. Everything had also been laid with new flooring. New cupboards and all kinds of fashionable little things decorated the rooms. The living room was completely redesigned.
And on top of that there was still enough money left.
"Well, what do you agree to do here?" Yamaki asked and looked at them both spellbound. "Wow. I can't believe it. How can you say thank you for all of this?" said Kamelia who had been blown away. "Oh, that's not worth talking about. The main thing is that you stay here for a long time and the little one grows up well." Then one of the employees said. "Come on and
