Stürmische Liebe

Mein erstes Märchen

Stormy love

Once upon a time, there was a young woman sitting in a meadow that was so beautiful that you couldn't even imagine it. Tons of flowers grew on her, all of which made their bright colors shine.
The young woman, her name was Mary, dreamily picked a few flowers to weave them into a wreath. She was the princess of a fairly large estate, but didn't care much about it because all that mattered to her was the beautiful meadow of flowers.
As is so often the case recently, she couldn't sit on the meadow all day because it suddenly started to hurt and she knew that a storm would soon come. She got up quickly and gathered her skirts so as not to stumble.
When she got home, she put down the braided wreath and pulled all the remaining hair clips out of her hair to put it in order. Mary had beautiful long, slightly wavy hair which she cared for every day because as a princess she wanted to be the most beautiful in the whole country. When she had arranged her hair somewhat and braided it into a quick braid, she carelessly tossed it back, meeting her personal guard who first cursed and held his head.
"William, you know I don't like this when you're behind me!" she yelled at him and looked angrily, then she picked up her wreath from the floor and wanted to put it on William's head, but stopped when she saw how disheveled his hair was again. "You're coming with me now, comb your hair."
She almost ran up the stairs to her room, still in tow with William, who was more busy not falling than trying to figure out how he could get away without letting her comb his hair because he never liked it when someone combed his hair. She stopped in front of her door, let go of William's hand and fished out her keys. In his mind he thought about quickly disappearing and hiding somewhere where she wouldn't find him under any circumstances, but when he saw her standing in front of her door so easily annoyed because she couldn't find the right key, this thought had long been forgotten.Another 5 minutes later (the time could already be read before the clock was invented) they were both still standing in front of the door, still busy trying to find the right key, which was difficult with the amount of keys.
Another 5 minutes passed and Mary had now reached the 22nd key of her estimated 50 keys.
"What do you need so many keys for?" it suddenly burst out of William because he had lost his nerve at the mere thought of having a brush or a comb in his hair. In the next moment he thought to himself why he was actually asking that, he could be glad that she couldn't find the right key, it could have disappeared long ago.
"Well, the first key is for my door, if I knew which one is the first I would be smarter. The second key is for my closet, the third key for my other closet, the fourth key is for my chest behind my bed stands that ... "" Wait, I didn't want to know exactly.Just unlock the door. "Did he talk to her annoyed in between, to which she of course reacted with a" puh "and turned back to the door. To herself she said" Men, they never know what they want and because women think they are complicated! "
The next key seemed to fit and in fact it clacked and the door finally opened, she happily pulled the key out of the door and turned triumphantly to William "It was this one!" and showed him the key, he examined it and the others and then said "This is the greatest key of all, why didn't you immediately get the idea to try it out first?"
"Well, I have a certain order in my life everything is tried out one after the other and not just started right in the middle."
The only thing he managed to do at that moment was a somewhat forced-looking smile, whereupon she looked at him questioningly but apparently decided to go into her room rather than ask what he had now."Sit down there on the chair," he heard her say and wave her arm somewhere in the direction of a chair by the window, the rest of her had disappeared into the next room, apparently the bathroom. Obediently he sat on the chair and looked around her room with interest, in all the years he took care of her, apart from the fact that he never went with her when she went to her flower meadow, he was never in her room and he was was visibly amazed that her room was not sumptuously furnished but only with the things she apparently needed.
When she came back she had a brush and a comb in her hand, she put the brush on the table and went to William to comb all the knots out of his hair. He had to constantly bite his lip or clench his fist in order not to start screaming because she just combed loose and didn't carefully comb out one knot after the other. "How was that with the order?" he thought to himself as he had his hair combed in tremendous pain. After about 30 minutes (we remember, the time could already be read but unfortunately only in minutes) she was finally finished and put the comb away to take the brush. After Mary had finished brushing his hair, she put it away and looked as if she was looking for something. "Damn it" she mumbled and ran back into her bathroom, apparently she had forgotten something but he couldn't explain what it was, but he knew it when he saw the red ribbon in her hand and instinctively wanted to get away from her.
So it happened that a sudden gust of wind came in through the window, the tape fasted and carried out of the open window where it then slowly fell down. Mary grabbed the tape and wanted to catch it again and ran to the window to turn sadly back to William and look scared at him. Because of this reaction on her part, he tilted his head and looked at her questioningly what that meant again."How ... how did you do that ?!" she asked and ran to him to pull his hair first. "Ouch!" he yelled and jumped up to protect his hair from her. He noticed that his hair was apparently totally disheveled again and when he went out he just stuttered something like "that always happens ... uh ... that is typical ..."

The next morning, as always, the princess did not get up until the sun began to shine in her room. Then she got up, opened the window and let a fresh breeze blow in her face and through her hair, every day she believed that the wind whispered the words "I love you" to her, which could not be possible.

Again she went to the beautiful flower meadow and again it started to hurt if not even to storm if she didn't want to run home as soon as possible. Every time William stood at the gate and gave her a friendly smile when she walked past him, she had long since given up trying to comb his hair properly and then tie it in a braid because he cut off every time or his Hair was as disheveled as it was before. So the time passed and at some point her father, the king, announced that she should marry the prince of the neighboring country, but whom she couldn't stand death because he was totally snooty and didn't get involved in any fun and anyway had nothing to do with flowers the worst disaster of all.

Why couldn't she marry someone like William, who always had a smile ready, no matter how nasty she was to him and who looked so good in his own way with those disheveled hair. Why did she even think so, she wondered horrified and got up to open a window. Again that refreshing wind, again that feeling that the wind whispered "I love you" to her.

The next day her future husband arrived and she was asked by her father to get to know him better. Again, willing but obedient, she went for a walk with him through the private garden, where at least she felt comfortable with all the beautiful flowers below.A wind came on that loosened her handkerchief from her neck and let it fly far away, sadly she looked at the handkerchief because it had risen too high for her to reach and was about to run after her when the prince held her tightly and said "I'll get it back for my lover."
At first she just stayed where she was and wanted to wait for her to get her handkerchief again, but then another thought occurred to her and so she gathered her skirts to not run home this time but to run away.
She ran to her beloved flower meadow and just let herself fall into it, she noticed it was strange calm when she just lay there and looked at the beautiful blue sky.
In the same moment it started to blow hard and she turned around and saw William apparently surrounded by the wind. This time she heard it very clearly that the wind whispered "I love you" to her. Without uttering an answer, she got up completely and ran the piece towards William to fall into his arms. They both landed on the meadow, caught gently by the wind, and kissed.

And if they are not dead,
he still rules the wind for them to this day.
