Sick Hanyo and stressed Miko

Naraku was gone once again after Inuyasha had almost destroyed him. The group around the Hanyo returned to Musashi to recharge their batteries. What none of them suspected was that there was a flu epidemic in the village. Shippo also carried pathogens that should show up soon.

The troop arrived in the village and what they saw astonished them or rather what they did not see. Usually most of the men were in the fields, but hardly anyone was there that day. Under Inu Yasha's guidance, they made their way to Kaede's hut. Once there, they found Kaede, who was preparing medicine. Kaede hadn't noticed her.
"Um? Kaede-obaa-chan? (Spelled right?)" Asked Kagome.
Kaede looked startled at the newcomers. She exhaled audibly.
"Oh, it's you children. Come here," said Kaede in a friendly manner.
The group entered and sat down.Nobody noticed that Shippo was scratching himself badly. You could see red spots on his skin.
"Kaede-sama. What's going on here?" Asked the perverted monk.
Kaede sighed. "The flu has broken out. Almost all of the men are in bed with a high fever and half of the women are too."
The others nodded. That was not good. Who should cultivate the fields now? The harvest could be miserable because of it.
Sango and Miroku decided to work at least some of the fields together with Kirara. Kagome, on the other hand, wanted to help Kaede take care of the villagers. Inuyasha didn't know what to do. He did not feel like cultivating fields and had no plan for medicine. Well and Shippo ... he could hardly stand the pain from scratching.
The next day everyone was doing their job when Kagome noticed that Shippo was scratching himself almost to death.
"What do you have Shippo-chan?" Asked the budding Miko.
"Kagome? I think I have fleas. But I'm not a dog like Inu Yasha or Sesshomaru."Said Inu Yokai and Hanyo had to sneeze at this statement. Although Sesshomaru Jaken took over the sneezing. (Spoiler from volume 42) But Jaken got a kick. Both brothers thought the same. / My stupid half-brother is talking badly of me again./
With Kagome and Shippo, Kagome examined Shippo and came to the following conclusion. Windpoken. However, these seemed a little different. She didn't know why Kagome came up with it. The only problem was that she didn't have a Windpoken yet. What should she do now?
"Well, Shippo-chan. You have Windpoken."
"Windpoken?"
"Windpoken is a skin disease that you only have once in a lifetime. You treat it with creams from my time. These red spots are the sign of Winpoken. They also itch a lot. Now I have to do one thing ... INU YASHA !!! COME HERE NOW !!!! ", Kagome shouted into the forest.
Called Hanyo was immediately alerted and ran back to the village.
While eating, Shippo asked: "Why are you calling Inuyasha?""Because I can't take care of you. Already a very alarmed Hanyo stormed into the hut. He looked around frantically for dangers, but found none.
"Kagome? What happened?" Inuyasha asked.
"I have to ask you to take care of Shippo," said the girl.
"What?" Asked the Hanyo.
With that, Kagome Inuyasha explained the situation. With a grumble, he accepted the assignment. Kagome explained to him how he had to use the cream that Kagome had gotten from her time in between. So two weeks moved into the country in which Inu Yasha took care of Shippo and Kagome and Kaede still had to help with the other sick people. In between there was a new moon.What surprised Kagome was that no one else had been infected by Shippo.
After these two weeks, Shippo and the villagers were fit again. The group around Miroku had to rest for now, because two weeks of heavy field work had smoked quite a bit. The others also took a break. But apparently Kirara was not doing so well. She scratched all over the place. She had Windpoken.
"What should we do now?" Asked Sango.
Kagome gave her the ointment and gave her instructions.
"What amazes me is that nobody else is sick when this disease is very contagious," said Kagome.
The others sat perplexed. But then Kagome had an idea.
"What if this virus only affects Yokai?" Asked Kagome.
"That could be", said Kaede.
Two days later, Inuyasha began to feel uncomfortable. Not only did his whole body itch, but he was also cold, he sneezed and coughed all the time. Apparently he had caught the flu and the Yokai windpoken.He was first prescribed bed rest. Which didn't help much since Shippo always kept him awake. After Kagome had sent Shippo away, she sat down with Inuyasha at his sickbed.
"So much for not getting sick," she said with an encouraging smile.
From her Hanyo came only weakly: "Keh ... I was wrong. I don't have my peace here either." He was almost asleep. Kagome thought for a moment.
/ It's too loud here. He cannot relax well here. Maybe in my time? It's vacation time and my family is on vacation. I suggest it /
"Hey, Inu? Would you like to rest in my time. I'm on school vacation and my family is not here. You would have your rest."
There was a weak nod from the hanyo. Hkagome asked Shiippo, who had just arrived, to transform himself and bring Inuyasha to the well. After a brief discussion, Shippo did it. Kagome wrapped Inuyasha warmly to keep him from freezing. After a short time they were at the fountain and Kagome jumped into the fountain with Hanyo leaning on her back, promising to call in every now and then.Shippo went to the village to report.
Arriving in modern times, Kagome had managed to get Inuyasha out of the well with great skill. She quickly went into the house with him, took him to her room and put him there on her bed. She covered him up and noticed that he was scratching his sleep very badly.
/ It must be really bad for him. If he lets me help him like that. I should put some lotion on it /
As soon as she thought she went to work. Fortunately for her, there were no spots on the loin area. What surprised her while applying the lotion was that he purred a little. At least that's what she believed. / It must have been just imagination /
Inuyasha woke up three hours later. But something was wrong with him. He seemed more like a dog. He saw Kagome sleeping in a chair by the bed. He cocked his head. Why did his mistress sleep on a chair when he slept in bed? To get her awake, he straightened up, leaned his head against her face and nudged her lightly with his nose.But that didn't wake her. She just gave a sleepy grumble. Inu Yasha's ears twitched excitedly. Then he did the incredible. He gave her a dog kiss. With that his mistress woke up. Now the Inu was happy.

Kagome had fallen asleep while she was watching Inuyasha. The next thing she noticed was something wet licking her cheek. She suddenly woke up. She really couldn't believe what she saw. Inuyasha had given her a dog kiss and was now sitting on her bed like the happiest dog in the world.
/What? How so? Why did he lick me off? He behaves smoothly like a dog. / Completed this thought, Kagome put her hand examining his forehead. He still had a fever.
/ He's still so hot .. That's not good. / thought Kagome.

Inuyasha looked at his mistress carefully. What did his mistress have? Why didn't she stroke him? Then he felt her hand on his forehead. He looked at her and saw that she was worried./ What does my mistress have? Is something wrong? Why is she worried? / thought Inu.
To take her worry away, he lowered his head a little so that her hand was now on one of his ears. He moved his ear slightly so that she would stroke it.

Kagome noticed that Inuyasha lowered his head and her hand was now on one of his ears. She was shocked because he never let anyone touch his ears. When he moved his ear to be stroked, Kagome thought only one thing:

Then she realized how right she was.
/Damn it. Why is he acting like a dog? Because he has a fever? Is that why he can't remember previous illnesses? Because his dog instincts are getting out of hand? /
To make Inuyasha happy, she stroked his ear. He was then happy like a snow king. His mistress felt better again.Since Inuyasha couldn't take any medication in this state, or better yet, didn't know how, Kagome decided to mix it with him in his food. Our Hanyo, who now behaved like a puppy, happily accepted the food from his mistress. Little by little he got better and better. When Kagome put the lotion on him, he felt like he was in heaven. It always felt like she was caressing him everywhere.
Kagome found his canine side cute, but also annoying. She had to pound his stomach all the time. She had nothing to tickle her ear.
Inuyasha was healthy again after a week and a half. He just woke up from his last feverish dream and looked around curiously. He was looking around and saw Kagome's diary. Of course he wanted to take a look. Kagome was somewhere else right now. He had just opened the book when ...
"Inuyasha. Bad boy!" Said Kagome sternly.
Inu Yasha's ears came to her head. Then he noticed something.
/ Did she just treat me like a dog?/
He quickly put the book aside and turned to Kagome.
"What is the" bad boy "about? I'm not a stupid mutt!" Said the Hanyo sternly. When he looked at her, he noticed her surprised look. /What does she have? /
Kagomes looked at him in surprise. / Is he normal again? / Then she smiled. She looked at Inuyasha and shook her head.
"No, you're not a mutt. I just wanted your attention," said Kagome.
"How long have I been sick?"
"A week and a half."
