"I had you called here because I have to show you something important. You mustn't tell anyone. It's one of the greatest secrets of this and other countries." With that he leaned over to his backpack and pulled it towards him.
"You have to promise me that you won't tell anyone. Nobody. Not even your family or your closest friends. Do you understand that?"
He looked almost defiantly at her. Keil looked at his two friends. Cody bit his lip. And Leina looked downright frightened. He looked into berlot's face. Deep shadows ran through it. Suddenly, Keil noticed a tear in his eyes. He hesitated a moment, then began to speak:
"I promise you Berlot. Nobody who is outside this room will find out about this."
Leina agreed with him. "Nobody. Nobody should ever know."
Cody nodded. "We swear."A smile crept on Berlot's face. A moment later he tossed a package to Keil. Cody and Leina also got one.
"Open them up."
Keil slowly opened the string that was wrapped around the package. He carefully unwrapped the object inside. A shiny stone fell into his hands. This stone was cherry red and felt like it was pulsing lightly. He looked at Cody, who was holding a green stone. Leina had a purple stone.
"What should d-"
"What you hold in your hands is one of the greatest treasures in the world. I've spent almost fifty years looking for the people to whom they react. I finally found them!"
"W ... what do you mean Berlot? D ... the stones should react?"
"Wedge! Can't you feel the throbbing of the stone?"
So Keil hadn't imagined that after all! But Leina and Cody just sat in silence over their stones.
"What kind of stones are those?" Asked Cody. "I've never seen stones like this before.""Very simple, Cody. They are not stones."
"So what?"
"They're eggs. Dragon eggs."
