Lucius,

I am writing this letter to you, even if you will never read it. I can't tell you why I'm doing this, knowing full well that I'll never give you this letter, but it just felt right.

I don't know how you felt when you found out we were getting married, but it seemed so right to me. I had never thought about who my parents would choose for me, but when it became clear that you should be my future husband, I somehow felt that it was the right thing to do. I know that Bellatrix never had this feeling and somehow it makes me happy to know that I will be by your side and help you to cope with your tasks.I want to do everything to make your life pleasant for you. Because I am sure that I will be happy when you are.

I don't understand this feeling that grabs me whenever I see you, but it feels good and I hope for myself that it will stay. The only thing that can cloud my joy at the moment is my mother, who has been trying to explain to me for days how I should behave. I know that on my own, but I won't be able to stop her from making the same accusations over and over again. I think I'm really happy when I can leave this house. I can't say whether I might expect something similar from you, but I have sworn to myself that I will do the best in this new phase of life. I know I have to be a good figurehead what society thinks is important, but I think this will be my smallest problem.

However, I sincerely pray never to become like my sisters, I want to find my own way, by your side.Come what may.
