I dedicate this story to Hopeless_Johan from animeMANGA, because a more loyal and crazy Spirit / Charmershipper than her does not exist and, I think, never will! Therefore everyone can imagine that this is the pairing Johan x Juudai, with the hint of charm shipping! I just wanted to write a very small song fiction for the 3rd intro "Tear Drop" and therefore there will be neither a sequel nor a longer version ^ - ^

Juudai sat on a wooden chair that was placed next to Johan's bed. As so often in the previous school year, they were with each other. Sometimes a little quiet, other times heatedly but happily arguing and another time they dueled.But no matter when they spent time with each other, they had the feeling that they could fully rely on each other.
Juudai saw Johan's peaceful face. Even in his sleep he looked so incredibly content that it was hard to imagine that they had had such hard times. His vision blurred as tears slowly gathered in his eyes. Juudai suppressed a bitter sob, which resulted in a pained sound. The usually cheerful and alert Juudai put a hand on his chest and tried to grasp the deep feeling within himself. Yeah it hurt It hurt to see Johan like that. As peaceful as he looked, Juudai had to admit to himself that his friend probably won't feel that way himself if he ever woke up again.
Bringing him back to the normal world had been difficult. Juudai and the others had had to fight many dangerous life and death duels. In the process, friends found and lost, but in the end they were able to immerse themselves in their familiar world again.Since then there has been no clear sign of life from Johan. For weeks he had been lying motionless in the bed of the school sick bay and had to be fed intravenously.
The door to the hospital room opened and inside came Ayukawa Sensei, the school doctor, and Saotome Rei, a sophomore student who had been in love with Juudai for some time. Juudai frantically wiped the tears from his eyes and pretended to yawn so that the two would not recognize his pain. It was his own fault for this situation, he was the last person allowed to cry and certainly not in front of Rei and the doctor. He turned to both of them and gave them a friendly smile. The dark-haired Rei returned this smile and stepped up to Johan on the bed.
"How are you today, Johan-kun? I hope you will be out of here soon!", She said in a clear voice. Juudai liked the way she talked to him. She pretended that he could understand her very well and that he had the opportunity to answer at any time.Ayukawa Sensei had already mentioned a while ago that it was quite possible that Johan was still aware of his surroundings in spite of everything. At least that was how Rei felt and often brought fresh flowers into the room. Juudai liked her very much, this free manner was so uplifting, even when he dueled the girl in his first year at school, he was inwardly enthusiastic about her vitality. At that time she was very fond of Kaiser. Today, however, and Juudai knew that very well, she was in love with him.
"Johan still hasn't woken up," Juudai replied quietly and didn't even notice that he was completely neglecting his cheerful mask and that he died right after he had finished his sentence.
"That takes time. He had to go through a lot in the Isekai. In his condition, however, it is really difficult to say when he will wake up again," explained Ayukawa and checked the various machines to which Johan was connected."If he will ever wake up!", Said Juudai and gave Johan another concerned look.

The path led Juudai and Rei aimlessly across the school grounds and through the dense forests of Duel Island. It was a really nice day, how nice it would not be until Johan was healthy again. Juudai longed for this moment, he just couldn't do without his best friend, it was bewitched but everything somehow reminded him of Johan.The memory of the time together hurt when he got hold of new cards and had to open the boxes by himself or when he just sat in class and listened to the teacher's lectures.
Rei was silent while she walked next to Juudai, but she never let him out of her sight. He just pretended to be happy and carefree, she understood. She might only be fifteen years old and started school this year, but that didn't make Rei a fool. And she didn't like seeing Juudai so sad at all. She also sighed softly, but that was more an expression of perplexity, not hopelessness and sadness as was the case with her boyfriend.
"Can we just sit down for a while, Juudai?", She finally asked, breaking the silence.
The brown-haired man looked at Rei puzzled, he had been so distant in his thoughts that he had hardly noticed her, then nodded and found a nice spot under a large oak tree together with Rei.Juudai did not dare to break the silence that had fallen. He didn't look at Rei either, because he had the feeling that she could see right through him.
"You are not well, Juudai. And it hurts to see you like that!", She said finally.
"Oh, I'm okay!", He said and patted himself on the chest with a cheerful smile, covering up his true feelings again. He would have loved to burst into tears.
"Liar!", Rei looked at him sternly, she had never done it before, got up and sat up sternly in front of him, "You are lying to me ... although you should know best that you can trust me. Juudai, I can't see you like that! You torment yourself when you keep your feelings to yourself! "
Juudai raised his head and looked into Rei's brown eyes. He had never seen her with eyes like this before, they looked so disappointed. Had he been blind all along, chasing an unrealizable wish?
