Vampires of the Dark

Night visit

Exhausted, Sasuke Uchiha unlocked the door of his house. It had been a long and tough day of training again. Because even if he didn't like to admit it, his two former teammates were much stronger than before and so the training was getting more and more difficult for him every time. He could literally see how they got stronger with every practice fight, with every new jutsu that Kakashi taught them. Not only physically but also mentally.
And he? Had he gotten stronger too? Snorting contemptuously, he entered his big house. Sometimes he actually doubted whether his decision to return to Konoha was the right one.
After all, he had learned a lot from Orochimaru. But after a renewed meeting with his brother, in which he was again far inferior, he had decided to return to his home village.
But why did he even bother? After all, he had killed Orochimaru himself, so what was his option to continue training other than in Konoha? He answered the question himself: None, there was no possibility, so he would probably have to put up with training with an annoying, noodle soup addicted Chaos ninja and a kunoichi, who in his eyes is still weak despite everything.
He just had to make the best of it.

But not today. He was so tired that he didn't even eat anything, but shuffled straight to his bedroom and let himself fall onto the bed with his clothes. After a few minutes he slipped into a deep, dreamless sleep.

Irritated, Sasuke woke up again. Something had woken him up, but what? The senses of a Shinobi were better developed than those of a normal person, their body was trained to signal the alarm at the slightest unusualness.
He remained quiet in his bed and listened to the silence of the night. No, it wasn't completely quiet. There, a sound. A creak of the floor. Steps. They came closer. Something was in the room. Despite his growing concern, Sasuke tried to focus and looked for a chakra, but couldn't find one.
He tried again, but came to no conclusion. Maybe an animal? No, impossible, he was sure it was human footsteps.
His black eyes scurried restlessly around the dark room, but they couldn't see anything either. Stop there? There was something! A movement! And again he heard the sound of footsteps.

The Uchiha jumped out of bed in a flash, reached under his pillow and took out the kunai that he had always hidden there to be on the safe side.
His eyes searched the room again. What was going on here? Has he been hallucinating?
But the next moment he learned that this was not the case. Precisely when a black shadow emerged from the shadow of a corner of his room.
And what he saw made him breathe a sigh of relief. It was just a woman, maybe a year or two older than him. She had fiery red hair and wore simple clothes, like normal Konoha-Gakure villagers who were not ninjas. And since she wasn't a fighter, he would easily deal with her in the event of an attack, he was pretty sure of that.

Still, on closer inspection, something about the woman struck him as weird. First there were the circumstances of their appearance. Why the hell would a young woman come to his house in the middle of the night? And ... why had he not felt a chakra earlier when it was clearly in the room? Sure, the villagers didn't have as distinct a chakra as ninjas, but everyone had some form of chakra unless ... they were dead.
But there was one more thing that put him on the alert:
Your whole demeanor. She just stood there. Without any emotion. Without even the smallest sign of life. Almost as if she was waiting for something. And then this look. The woman stared at him with her red eyes. With eyes that seemed somehow lifeless, dull, as if they were the eyes of a dead man.
Or in other words:
As if she wasn't human, but ... a demon or a being that seemed to come straight from the depths of hell.

At this thought, Sasuke felt cold as ice. What was he thinking ?!
"What do you want?", He asked her unkindly to finally break the ghostly silence.
But instead of answering, a smile formed on the woman's face. A smile that only worried Sasuke even more. It was cold and emotionless, like everything about her, apparently.
In the next moment she was gone.
The Uchiha stared in disbelief at the place where she had just been standing and blinked a few times, but it stayed that way:
She was gone. Just like that, from one second to the next. Slowly he was feeling a little queasy. Something was wrong here! That ... that was completely impossible!
At first a complete stranger broke into his house without his noticing it, and now she had disappeared without a trace. Maybe he was still dreaming? If so, then that was a pretty real dream.

But just when Sasuke actually wanted to dismiss it as a crazy dream, he let out a horrified scream and looked down at himself in shock.
Something icy cold crept up his arms, the cold seemed to take hold of his arms, his torso and his legs. At first he was paralyzed with shock, but then he realized that it was two pale hands that had grabbed his arms from behind.
Your hands.
Although he couldn't see her because she was standing behind him, Sasuke knew straight away that it was the woman from just now.
Now that she was so close to him, he could feel it. The cold that it radiated, he felt it almost physically. It hurt, touched something deep inside him, something he hadn't felt since he'd lost his whole clan at the age of eight:Anxiety.
But now she was back and he didn't even know why.

He was paralyzed, the cold numbed his senses, his mind, he was unable to form a single clear thought.
But why?
This woman had neither weapons nor had she really attacked him. In fact, she had only touched him! But it was precisely this touch that triggered a horror in him that was indescribable.
And without anyone needing to tell him, he knew that he had to act, get rid of her, get out of here.
That was the only thought his brain allowed, he tried to break free from the woman's grip, push her away, stab her with his kunai, but he couldn't do one thing or the other.
She seemed to be holding him with a force that far exceeded his own, no, not just his, which exceeded that of a human.

At some point he gave up his efforts. There was no point, she was far stronger than him.Now he was standing there. Like a frightened rabbit that knew that it could no longer escape its hunter, only hoped for the mercy of its opponent. Sasuke didn't dare to breathe, didn't dare to move, didn't dare to say anything, just stood there motionless and waited.
And he didn't have to wait long, because shortly after he had given up his attempts to free himself, he felt the redhead move behind him.
Her head moved towards his face.
He felt her breath on his throat, her breath that made him think of death and destruction. The breath wasn't warm, like that of a human being, it was like an icy breath of death, which gave Sasuke goose bumps.
Inadvertently, his entire body suddenly began to tremble and his knees went weak. Had she not held him so tightly, he would probably have fallen to the ground.
By now he was perfectly certain that this wasn't human, but what then? She was certainly not an animal either.

Suddenly, however, the young Uchiha felt something on his neck. He couldn't see anything, but it felt like two small pointed needles that were placed around his neck.
What was that again? He was beginning to feel like a nightmare, a nightmare of the kind where you woke up drenched in sweat and your heart pounding and didn't want to sleep for the next few days for fear that the dream might come back.
But this wasn't a dream, it was a cruel reality.
Still, he had to see what it was. So he carefully turned his head, but when he saw what it really was, he immediately wished he hadn't.
What he felt on his skin wasn't needles, it was teeth. The creature's two canines behind.
As it slowly dawned on Sasuke what this woman really was, an iron hand seemed to be wrapped around his heart. Wasn't that possible? There was only one being that fit the woman's description.Red hair, red eyes, the canine teeth.
But it didn't exist at all!

Panic slowly welled up in him. They were beings of human imagination, and by no means real! Every child knew the cruel stories that were told about them, how they sucked all blood from their victims' bodies, how people who were bitten by them slowly and painfully turned into one of them.
But they were fantasy creatures! From nightmares and horror stories!
There were no vampires!
Suddenly a jolt went through his body, shortly afterwards he felt a searing pain in the back of his neck, and he knew that she had indeed done it:
She had bitten him!
Immediately a tremendous amount of blood, his blood, shot out of the fresh wound and ran down his neck, wet his shirt and slowly dripped onto the floor.
But the woman's teeth were still deeply anchored in Sasuke's skin, she was not satisfied with what she had done, she wanted more, more blood. The Uchiha's eyes widened in horror when he noticed how more and more of the red liquid oozed from the wound.
In the meantime he was certain of one thing:
She was a vampire.

He tried again to fight back, this time with panicked, uncontrolled movements that were much more like the last twitches of a wounded animal than those of an excellent fighter.
But he didn't care, at the moment he only knew one thing:
He had to go, he didn't want to die yet, not in such a macabre way!
But it didn't work, she still held him with an iron grip, this raw power was just unbelievable!
To his horror, he also found that his movements, his defense attempts, his attacks were getting slower and slower, and slowly he also felt how an iron lead seized his limbs and more and more thoughts slipped away from him as quickly as he did she had captured.
Sasuke knew the reason for the sudden appearance of these weaknesses, but he was
