Thunderstorms are nice

THUNDERSTORMS ARE BEAUTIFUL

Thunderstorms are nice.
They are sinister and terrifying;
And yet they are beautiful.

They are wild and brutal.
Your power is destructive.
The dark rain clouds are making their way on the horizon.
They roll up like hostile armies on the battlefield.
You thunder echo in the sky,
Like intoxicating battle cries.
They pile up on too high walls of concentrated energy,
It discharges at the peak of its strength.

Crashing lightning bolts rush down onto the dry earth.
They hiss through the night sky, like shooting stars;
Only faster and more powerful.
They smash the earth we walk on
And relentlessly they pave their way.

Then, the sky opens its locks
And eternal water gushes out of the clouds.
It floods the ground
until it's soaked like a sponge.
And on and on and on the rain pours down
Until the earth itself overflows with water.Once more the clouds pile up and send their last lightning bolts down.
And one last rumble goes through the night.
The rush is slowly ebbing away
And only when the last drop has been shed
Only then is the battle over
And calm returns.

The sky clears up and the stars shine with their light
The picture of desolation.

The air is fresh and new, a mild coolness surrounds me.
I can breathe again.

Thunderstorms are nice.
They are scary and terrifying
And yet they are beautiful.
