I hated you for that!

My life was over, only the hatred let me breathe.
Soon I swore vengeance, soon I wanted to pray at your feet.
But my heart was too weak.

In time the hatred disappeared
Only love remained
Because she overcomes everything!
But her face had changed.
She saw more clearly now.
And healing soothed my wounds.

I try to forgive you
And take a look through the veil of the future.
Time is on my sideI see you and I smile at the thought of us.
With all the evil that you brought me, you taught me to love.
