Naruto
Under suspicion
Naiko went for a long walk and thought about her past. What was it that made her take on these missions? She knew exactly what the village would mean to her after this time. Nevertheless, she obediently stuck to the plan and did not show anything.
Naruto couldn't wait for the Chuunin Exam to begin. He fidgeted tensely. "Naruto," called a well known voice. He turned around. Tsunade came up to him. "Ah, Granny, what are you doing here?" Asked Naruto. Tsunade stopped in front of him: “You won't take the exam this time!” Surprised, Naruto looked at her: “What do you mean ?! I HAVE to be a Chuunin!” “I know that you were really looking forward to it, at last to take the exam, but I have an important mission for you! "explained Tsunade. "Can't wait until after the exam ??" Naruto asked, almost pleadingly. "No!" Replied Tsunade curtly. Naruto hung his head: "That's not fair!""Naruto!" Said Tsunade. "huh?" asked Naruto, depressed. "I'll be expecting you shortly!" Answered Tsunade, turned away and left again.
Naiko sat down on a bench and sighed. There was nothing left to do. All missions were done. In any case, the Hokage hadn't given her any new assignments. Even so, the people of the village seemed to be more careful with her. Did they become suspicious? No, this could not be. She hadn't exposed herself. Or had she made a mistake after all? There was no point in thinking about it. Naiko pushed the thoughts aside and distracted herself by examining the things around her. Some women gossiped about something that seemed weird. At least for her. Otherwise there was only one father playing with his daughter. Suddenly the little one stumbled. She cried terribly. The father helped her to her feet and tried to calm her down, but he just couldn't.
Defiantly, Naruto left the registration room and went to the Hokagen's house. He stopped in front of her room and knocked. After being called in, he opened the door and stepped inside. "ah, Naruto. There you are.", stated Tsunade. "Yeah ... What's it about?" Naruto asked pouting. "We suspect that Naiko ..." began Tsunade.
"Don't cry, my child, the sun is shining ...", Naiko began to sing. The father and child looked at her in amazement. The loud crying of the child was now only a soft sob. Naiko didn't stop singing until the child laughed again. Then she smiled, gave the little one some sweets and walked away before the father or child could say thank you.
"What ?! Naiko is supposed to be a spy?", Naruto asked loudly. Tsunade held an ear to her: "That's just a suspicion! That's why you should check whether that's true!" Naruto didn't believe what he was hearing. Naiko? A spy? Impossible! "That can't be! I'll prove to you that Naiko isn't a spy!" Said Naruto. Then he ran out. Annoyed Shizune looked after him: "Tsunade-velvet. Why did you have to send Naruto on this mission?"
Tsunade leaned back: “Because Naruto is the only one who is suitable for this task!” Shizune didn't think the idea was that great, but she said nothing more.
