The alarm went off at 6 a.m. sharp. Slowly the girl sat up in bed and rubbed the sleep from her eyes. She would have loved to sleep for another hour, but she couldn't afford that. Because, like every morning, Hinata had to make breakfast for her father and sister. To do this, she got up an hour earlier than she would otherwise have to.
The blue-haired woman threw back the covers and stood up. She went into the bathroom, took a quick shower, and then got dressed. Then she went into the kitchen and looked in the refrigerator. But this didn't give much. There were exactly two eggs left and that meant she wouldn't have breakfast today.
Well, better hungry than a bad-tempered father or bad-tempered little sister.In order not to wake her roommate, she fetched a pan from one of the many cupboards as quietly as possible. After the brief preparations, she made two fried eggs and threw in a few more strips of bacon. Then she put everything neatly on the plates, got something to drink and glasses, which she put on the table and then went back to her room.
She still had about half an hour and so decided to call her cousin Neji. She quickly took out her cell phone because he had texted her a few days ago with his new phone number.
beep ... beep ... beep ... beep ...
Hinata didn't know how many times the doorbell must have rang, but she didn't want to hang up, she had to talk to him. For a week she had received nothing but a text message.
She sighed as she put the phone aside and gave up. Why didn't he answer the phone? Or why didn't he even call her? Could something have happened to him?"No," said the sixteen-year-old loudly, "he'll just be at university. I hope ..."
Suddenly the door was thrown open and her younger sister peeked into the room. "Hey, have you gone crazy enough to talk to yourself?"
As always, she didn't respond to Hanabi's taunts. She had grown tired of doing this all these years. She had no more strength and therefore did not say a word, but shook her head. "Anyway, father said you should go shopping later. You have money." And with that she disappeared.
Again that morning the blue-haired man let out a sigh. Today she didn't really have time to go shopping. She had school until three o'clock, at three-thirty she had Japanese lessons. Your grandparents came from there. And since her father did not want to teach her and her mother was no longer there, she had found a Japanese course. This ended at six. She wasn't home until half an hour later because she had to take the train.She also had to study and do homework. And then go shopping and cooking?
"It's going to be a great day as always ...", she thought dejectedly.

"So, all the notebooks and books gone! I don't want to see anything on the tables except the pens you need! Since I noticed last hour that you hardly have any idea what you're doing here, I thought, let's write one Test. You have the whole hour, whoever is caught cheating, gets a six and is invited to qualification, also called detention. And there is no discussion. Those who have learned will have it easy. Those who have not, have Bad luck."
With these words, Hinata's class was greeted at Townsend Harris High for the first hour of the day.
The teacher was not very sympathetic, but he was right. The students rarely paid him their attention - which he didn't really care about. He was of the opinion that the young people could decide for themselves whether they wanted to learn something and make something out of their lives or not.The Hyuuga had no problems with the test, even finished before the end of the lesson. In contrast to her classmates. They groaned and cursed muffled, because they really hardly understood what was there in black flourishes, or letters, on the sheet in front of them.
Hinata wondered, as she often did, how these people had made it to high school. She found it astonishing when someone other than her answered or said something useful. She would never have said that almost all of her classmates were stupid, but ... they were.
The rest of her school day passed quickly and was as usual. She got good grades and that's exactly why she was the outsider.
When the redeeming bell finally rang, Hinata ran quickly to the adjacent train station. There she got on one of the buses, took out her English book, and studied. After about thirty minutes, she got out and stood in front of another school where her Japanese course was taking place.She went in, ran to the fourth floor and found - strangely enough - no one there. Was she the only one of almost thirty people who came today?
She looked around, perhaps she was wrong about the floor. But no, there was a big four on the wall next to the stairs. So she decided to walk down the aisle and see if there was any class left. And indeed someone was standing in front of one of the many doors.
It was a boy about her age. He was blond and, as far as she could see from the side, had light eyes. "Um, excuse me?" She addressed him. He raised his head and she looked into azure eyes. Wow, it crossed her mind when he asked kindly, "Yeah, can I help you?" She nodded. “Do you know if the Japanese class is taking place in room 405 today?” The boy seemed to think twice. "I don't know who is the teacher?" She replied, "Mr. Nakajima."
"He's sick today. So your course will probably not take place, I'm sorry.""Well, okay. Thanks anyway." With that, Hinata left the building.
If the course was canceled today, she could go shopping. And she did.
In the supermarket around the corner, she quickly picked up a few things that didn't break her budget, and then made her way home. Apparently her father and sister weren't there yet. "Then I cook quickly and have rest until dinner."
Half an hour later she was sitting in her room unpacking her school supplies when she noticed that she had nothing on. Rare luck, as she found it. So she studied for the upcoming two-hour math exam, which she was already afraid of. She was good at it, as in any other subject, but she was still scared.
When the blue-haired girl had finished studying, she didn't know what else to do. She had read through all of her books at least three times, she had studied, she had no homework, she had no desire to go out and unfortunately she did not have friends with whom she could have met.So she decided to surf the Internet a little.
She put some keywords into a search engine out of boredom and then went through the results. This ended up in a chat room calledteenchat.com. The site was interesting and apparently half Queens were registered there. Or at least half of the youngsters. “I'll just register, it can't hurt.” She didn't know what the far-reaching consequences this day would have. Consequences that would turn their lives a hundred and eighty degrees.
Hinata wondered what kind of nickname to give herself. It should be something that suited her, said something about her. "I'll just take ...Silent_Tears!" After she had managed to log in there, she logged in and a large, rather colorful window opened. On the right there was a narrow list with the chat participants and next to it a large area on which what was written appeared.Apparently you had to click on a nick to write to that person. Should she just speak to someone?
However, this question became superfluous when someone wrote to her.
BladeMistress: || Hey Would you like to write? :) ||
She quickly typed an answer.
Silent_Tears: || Yeah yeah How are you? ||
BladeMistress: || Quite well, and yourself? ||
Silent_Tears: || It's okay. ||
BladeMistress: || Your nick is kind of ... well, sad. Does it have a reason? ||
Hinata considered what to write now. Surely she couldn't tell her life story straight away to someone she had known for two minutes. Although ... but what should happen. Even if it happened to be a girl in her class, she hadn't mentioned her real name. "Oh, what the heck," she said to herself and typed a short answer.
Silent_Tears: || It's a long story. I only have a few problems with my father and sister at the moment. ||BladeMistress: || Oh I'm sorry. I hope it will be again: D ||
Silent_Tears: || I hope that too. ||
BladeMistress: || May I ask you, where you are from? ||
Silent_Tears: || I'm from Queens. And you? ||
BladeMistress: || I live in California and am currently studying. ||
Hinata immediately thought of Neji, who was also studying in California.
Silent_Tears: || Which university are you studying at? ||
BladeMistress: || Berkeley. ||
Silent_Tears: || Really? So is my cousin, he only recently moved there. ||
BladeMistress: || I've only recently started studying. Maybe I know him, who knows? What is he studying? ||
Silent_Tears: || I don't know, we never talked about it. - His departure came very suddenly. ||
BladeMistress: || Didn't he tell you about it? ||
Silent_Tears: || Well, it's pretty complicated. He lived with us before because his parents ... are no longer alive. And my father said he had to send him to a university in California.We only found out a day before he was due to leave. ||
BladeMistress: || It's bad about his parents. :( But how did it come about that he had to leave so suddenly? You have to apply for a place at university beforehand, you can't just go to university overnight. ||
That made the Hyuuga think. So had her father planned to send Neji away for a long time? But then again, he was very influential and certainly had friends at Berkeley. And he certainly had ways and means to get his way. But whatever it was, she didn't like either.
"Hinata, you should cook dinner!", Her sister's voice
