at last: the hope

tears

Temari looked around searchingly. He had been here somewhere. Finally she saw him, buried under a pile of things, she pulled him out with an effort. Briefly held it in hand and finally tied it to her back. She had finally found her fan. She looked around again, turned away, and left the room.
She had been in Konoha for several months now, and she was getting tired of this village. She met the same people every day and never got any assignments. Anyway, she was in Konoha as a sign of peace, and Tsunade would certainly not give her any assignments, there were enough other ninjas in Konoha. Sullen, she dragged herself into Tsunade's office.
"Ah, Temari there you are. I have a request for you. The Chu-Nin exam will begin in three months. Would you go to Suna-Gakure and tell the Kaze-Kage?" Apparently Tsunade had been expecting Temari about it longer would think, and was surprised when Temari immediately said, "Glad Tsunade.I'll deliver the news to Gaara. "" Good, you can go, "said Tsunade.
When Temari came out of the building, she was overjoyed, she was finally able to go back to Suna. But immediately she felt at the thought that she might have acted a little hastily. After all, Konoha wasn't her home, but she had grown fond of the city and the people here, and leaving with a hasty decision was probably not the right thing to do. But she had given her word to Tsunade and she would stick to it. She liked her decision now, but still not.
She looked up at the sky, but it didn't seem to be able to tell her what the right thing was. Then she decided to look for Shikamaru, he should first find out that she was returning to Suna.

Finding Shikamaru had been easier than she'd thought. He was on the training ground with his students. "Shikamaru!", She called from afar. Shikamaru turned around, puzzled. When he spotted Temari, he said to his students, "You run around the practice field 50 times now." "What ?! Again?", One of them complained. "Come on now!" Ordered Shikamaru. His students groaned, but then started doing their laps. Then he turned to Temari and came towards her.
"What are you doing here?" He asked puzzled as he stood in front of Temari. Usually Temari never came around when he was training his students. "I will go back to Suna on behalf of Tsunade," Temari started to explain. “When are you going to leave Konoha?” “I don't know, probably tomorrow.” “So early?” Temari nodded sadly. Shikamaru pulled her protectively. "It'll be fine, you'll be back soon too," he whispered to her. Temari had to pull himself together not to start crying. Now she regretted her decision even more, she couldn't just let Shikamaru down.
Shikamaru slowly let go of her. "I'm sorry Temari, but I have to keep training my students."Again she just nodded sadly, she didn't want Shikamaru to notice how much it hurt to leave him, even if it was only for a maximum of three months, her voice would have given her away.
Shikamaru kissed her briefly on the mouth, then turned away to go back to his students. Temari stood still for a moment, then she turned around and made her way to her apartment in Konoha. And only now did she let her tears run free, tears full of sadness, tears of parting.

the chapter has become a bit too emotional ... I hope that doesn't bother, there shouldn't be so many emotions ...
