Die Schatten der Nacht

and she also knew that her spiders were gone.
Sora just nodded and then ran away while Sumai got on his knees and clutched her wrist tightly.
The boy walked slowly to her and crouched down next to her. He watched her curiously.
"Does something hurt you?" He asked slowly.
Sumai glared at him.
"Put your worried face back in your mask collection, you're not fooling me," she hissed at him.The boy grimaced and laughed.
"Clever, very clever, I have to admit, but I will not take my eyes off you. If you need my help, call my name. My name is Aubrey.", He said and kissed her on the lips.
Startled, her eyes widened.
Suddenly she tasted blood. Aubrey had bitten her lip and was now making Sumai drink his blood with the kiss, then bit her lip and drank her blood.
Sumai finally awoke from her stupor and pushed him away.
He laughed and vanished into thin air.
Sumai sat in the garden, completely distraught and deeply confused, staring at the place where Aubrey had just been standing.
Suddenly she became infinitely angry and hit the ground with her fist. This got cracks.
"Damn bastard!" She hissed.
She was surprised to find that the mark no longer itched and that she was no longer hungry.
Was it because of his blood? Was that the answer to their overwhelming hunger? When she thought about it, it was always the smell of blood that had made her hungry.
But if that was the answer, then what was it?
Resigned, she gave up this thought because her head was buzzing. She got up and went to her mother, who was just treating Sora.
Sumai was confused that she wasn't hungry when she smelled the blood, but right now she was too confused to think.
Her hair and eyes had returned to their usual color and so she could go to both of them without worries.
