But Hermione has advice: Miss Mitzies & Mister Carradine's dance school in Hogsmeade: Learn to dance! Learn to float in a new way! You'll love it ~ for just one galleon and five sickles an hour!
But when Harry got there, unexpected company awaited him!***

Many very strange things had happened since Harry had first come to Hogwarts to learn what it meant to be a wizard.
He had fought against Lord "Voldi" Voldemort and survived in the strangest way, he had his OWLs and NEWTs exams behind him and was eagerly awaiting the results and was looking forward to finally being trained as an Auror at the end of summer.
But until that day he hadn't even dared to dream about how strange the wizarding world could really be:
"A seventh grader farewell party? There's never been anything like that before, has it Ron?" Hermione asked her friend as they eyed a memo on the Gryffindor board.
"No it didn't," Ron said approvingly and put an arm around his girlfriend while smiling gently. "This is going to be wonderful."
Harry, on the other hand, was more certain that the evening would end in disaster again, at least for him.Because such parties were always associated with dancing. And he just couldn't dance. The experience at the Juleball in the 4th year was completely enough to prove it to him and he wasn't eager to experience something like that again. It was also no longer useful that some girls had approached him after they had read the notice very early and asked him to go with them to this terrible event. Until now he had just stayed out of it and canceled most of the girls before, but he secretly decided that he would certainly not attend this party. Come what may.
"Yes, really great ..." he just mumbled and secretly made plans for what he could do with his free time. "You are sure to have a lot of fun."
"We?" Hermione asked with an alarmed undertone in her voice, "What do you mean by that?"
Ron sighed and rolled his eyes in annoyance.
"How did I know you didn't notice? But I remember you were too busy with Vikki Krum to pay attention to Harry or me! "
Hermione grimaced and punched Ron in the ribs before turning back to Harry.
"Do you think you're not going to have fun?"
"I'm going to have fun. Just not at this party!" Harry said with a shrug. "I don't intend to be ridiculous again, Mione ... The thing with Pavati was enough."
Just the thought of this incident made Harry grimace, and so he missed the thoughtful look on Hermione's face, which slowly turned into a smile when she came up with a solution.
"Well then ... we have to do something about your problem." she said cheerfully and looked at Harry imploringly.
"What do you mean by that now?" he asked, already alarmed, he didn't like the look on her face.
"It's really easy. You will learn to dance!"
Ron choked and looked like he was trying to suppress a loud fit of laughter."Learn to dance?" Harry asked skeptically, "But everything else is fine, isn't it?"
Hermione sighed and pulled Harry aside, apparently not going to let that idea dissuade her.
"Come on, it's not that bad! There is a really good dance school that also teaches ritual and traditional dances! They'll whip you up!"
"I * don't * want to learn to dance at all!" Harry got excited and gave Ron a venomous look, as he was already rolling on the floor laughing. "And you stop laughing, otherwise I'll take you with me !!"
Hermione looked at the whole thing in silence for a while, leaving she sighed softly and Harry turned back to himself.
"Listen ... I am sure that you will like it. I will register you there today and then you will learn to dance and come to the party with us and you will find out that it wasn't that bad after all, as you thought. "
Her counterpart snorted annoyed. He didn't like the idea at all, but Hermione would certainly not rest until she was 100% convinced that a dance school was exactly what he needed now."But your plan already has a weak point," remarked Harry, "The ball is a week!"
Hermione blinked, but then she beamed and clapped Harry on the shoulder.
"Don't worry, with a little magic you can do it!"

***

//Magic? Which line was she thinking of? // Harry wondered the next evening when he found himself in Hogsmeade, standing in front of an old building that had probably only recently been inhabited.
Above the door was written in large gold letters "Miss Mitzies and Mister Carradines Hall of Dance ~ Learn to dance and experience a new way of floating ~ You will love it! For only 1 Galleon and 5 Sickles an hour"
This sign alone wanted to make him turn back, but since he knew that Mione would give him hell if he came back and couldn't dance, he stayed where he was and entered the dance studio in a bad mood. The receptionist gave him a friendly smile and after telling her which class to take, where to go, she explained to him.As Harry walked down the hall to their dance hall, he was already discovering several other courses and somehow that made him feel confident that maybe all was not lost.
But when he entered her practice room, what surprised him at first to find a familiar face here.
"Malfoy? What are you doing here?"
Harry didn't want to imagine what stroke of fate Draco Malfoy must have struck so bitterly to find himself in a place like this.
Still, he couldn't help but smile in amusement.
Draco, on the other hand, didn't think it was funny at all. At first his eyes had widened in shock, but now they narrowed again to narrow slits and he speared Harry with his gaze.
"Could I ask you the same thing, Potter? Here for rhythmic gymnastics? Ballet?"
"But not Malfoy, maybe next time we see you here," Harry said with an amused tone. "Actually, I'm only here to learn to dance."Draco was about to start an answer when the dance teacher entered the room and called for silence.
"Hello ladies and gentlemen ... I am glad that you have signed up for our dance class for Absolutley Beginners and I assure you that you will be able to dance when you have finished this class. Unfortunately, I have to say that we have a surplus of male members, so I'll divide them up now. "
And with that, the dance teacher simply began to read names from his list, which then got together in pairs.
"... Draco Malfoy as the male part and Harry Potter as the female part ..."
"WHAT???" both escaped in horror and looked at each other in disgust before they both started to protest at the same time
"I will not dance with him" "I will not dance as a woman"
But these protests were simply ignored and the dance teacher simply put a little spell on them that forced them to get into position."So then ... let's begin."

~ Hot sun beating down
burning my feet just walking around.
Hot sun making me sweat
'Gators getting close, hasn't got me yet

I can't dance, I can't talk.
The only thing about me is the way I walk.
I can't dance, I can't sing
I'm just standing here selling everything. ~

The two young men grudgingly held each other's hands, but the saying of the dance teacher, who now paddled back and forth on the edge of the dance floor with a lively grin, ensured that they were like two magnets that attracted each other.

[i]~ Blue jeans sitting on the beach,
her dog's talking to me, but she's out of reach.
He's got a body under that shirt,
but all he wants to do is rub my face in the dirt.

Cos, I can't dance, I can't talk.
The only thing about me is the way I walk.
No, I can't dance, I can't sing
I'm just standing here selling. ~

Neither of them had any idea what he was doing, but somehow their feet were moving like rolling machines across the surface and Harry was happy to still have all toes when their teacher decided to start the first lesson.Harry and Draco turned to him with scowl, both of them already saying angry words. It's just a shame that their wands had been taken from them at reception. Besides, Mr. Carradine didn't seem to care.
"That was just to warm up. Now for the dance steps!"
// Great! // Harry thought desperately, // Where did you ride me in again, Mione? //

Harry was just on his way back to Hogwarts, thinking about the past hours. He'd discovered that dancing with Malfoy wasn't as bad as he'd first thought. If he was being honest, he liked the feeling of being in his strong arms and being carried away by the music. He had found that Malfoy really had quite muscular upper arms, but that didn't bother him in the least. Rather the opposite. And all in all, he was very happy with the current situation. It was forgotten that they actually hated each other and did not want to let their hair down on the other, forgotten were the times when they almost got each other's throats at every meeting. All Harry could think about was Draco, his wonderful body, his shining gray eyes and the way he led him around the room. Often times Harry felt like butter in his hands.
Without realizing it, Harry began practicing the steps of her dance as he sauntered down the path, smiling happily. Maybe it really wasn't a bad idea to take this dance class.
