Who the hell ate all the meat?

Chapter 1: Luffy ??!

The sun was shining, a light wind was blowing and the infinitely wide blue sea seemed calm. There was a peaceful atmosphere on a caravel, whose figurehead was facing the course.
The individual crew members of the straw hat gang pursued their interests and were happy about the quiet afternoon on the Grand Line. They hadn't crossed a single pirate or naval ship that day and hadn't met a sea monster.
Yes, this day could really be described as pleasant.
Still, anyway.

A low grumble came from Luffy, who was pouting in his favorite seat, the figurehead, and staring at the horizon with sparkling eyes.
Why was he always the one smeared? Carefully he ran his hand over the back of his head, which was emblazoned with a big bump. Well, maybe he had gone a little too far when he wanted to steal Nami's steak, after which he had stolen from Usopp and Chopper. Unfortunately, he hadn't come to Zoro's share because he had stuffed it into himself hastily and protectively.
Well, actually he should have known what dreads when he assaults Nami's things, which are inherently stingy anyway. But Lord God again, he would rather feed it up than then have to see how Nami throws it away in the end, in the worst case. Which would never happen ... but still.

Luffy grimaced defiantly when he heard Zoro.
"Hey Luffy! Move around and help the blond boy wash the dishes!" A loud swear came from the galley. "That was actually your part! You really use every opportunity to avoid work, spinach skull!", Sanji roared. "What did you call me ?!" "Spinach skull, you idiot." "Well wait ..."
"I'll wash up when I get another steak from Sanji!", Luffy intervened, who had turned around in his seat curiously, but made no move to go between the brawl between the two."You stay out of there, gobbler !!!" "Uhh, that was synchro- ..."

A loud bang broke the peaceful silence. The explosion suddenly brought the ship to a complete standstill and its occupants were violently shaken.
A thick cloud of smoke puffed out of all the openings in the kitchen and misted the fresh sea air.
With a loud cough, Usopp, Nami and Chopper hurried out of the galley outside. Zoro and Sanji had quickly straightened up again and held an arm or hand in front of their noses to protect themselves against the smoke.

"Shit! Damn what was that ?!" Zoro said.
“Usopp, I'll kill you!” Nami had already grabbed his collar. He was in shock. While Nami started to pull the long-nosed man over the head, Chopper began to explain what had happened to Sanji and Zoro.
"Usopp and I worked together on a new, improved bomb. Well, luckily it was just a smoke bomb, otherwise we'd be gone now. In any case, something went wrong with the assembly of the mixture and the material and then ... buff."
"Damn it, how many times have I told you not to do this in my kitchen! I can make as many bombs as you want in Zoro's hammock, but not in my kitchen, where I greed you." Gobball is supposed to serve food! "The angry" Hey! " The young cook skilfully ignored Zoro while he continued to lecture Chopper and Nami was still killing Usopp.
So somehow Zoro felt left out.

Slowly he averted his gaze from the squabbling crowd. Then he saw Nico Robin, who sat calmly on a chair and devoured one of her books, skillfully giving the impression that nothing had happened. But he just shook his head and saved a comment. After all, everything was basically the same until now.

Something caught his attention.Curiously, he turned to look at the object that he had spotted in the corner of his eye.
A straw hat flew slowly and leisurely over the ship. Luffy's straw hat. If it was nothing more ...
Not paying any attention, Zoro sat down, leaned back and closed his eyes with relish to take another relaxing nap.
But ... something was bothering him. Something was wrong there.

He opened his eyes slightly again and followed the hat that was carried by the wind to the orange trees and got caught on a branch.
And then ... lots of pennies.
Zoro blinked once, twice, and three times. A very bad feeling spread in his stomach area. His gaze wandered to the figurehead, but there was no captain sitting there.
Sheer panic spread through the green-haired man. And then he started screaming loudly.

"RUFFY IS GONE! HIS HAT! MAN OVERBOARD !!!!"

The others paused in surprise. All eyes were immediately on Luffy's place, but none of Luffy stared back.

Zoro's panic spread over and over again. He and Sanji got ready to jump into the water while Chopper went to get the hat and the rest of them looked for their captain.

... ..

Luffy sank lower and lower and lower. Panicked, he pressed his hands over his mouth and nose. Why didn't anyone pull him upstairs? He wouldn't hold out much longer!
He narrowed his eyes in fear when he noticed how he ran out of air. He felt dizzy and couldn't make out where up and where was down.
He opened his eyes slightly to be disappointed again. Still no one had come to get him. Slowly his eyes went black.
But suddenly a pain above his left chest made him gasp and the last bit of air to escape from his lungs.
Barely there, he saw something black little swim past his face. And immediately afterwards he finally felt how strong arms grabbed him and pulled him upstairs. But before he reached the surface, everything went black around him.

... ..

Everyone was waiting on deck in awe. Even Robin had got up and looked suspiciously and searching across the blue water.
Usopp screamed out loud when Sanji and Zoro appeared and Luffy lay between them in a limp position.
They quickly got him back on board. They laid him on the sun-warmed wooden floor of the ship and gathered around their captain, who was unconscious. The crew members had never seen Luffy so pale. An uneasy feeling spread.

Chopper had already leaned over him and was examining him. It only took a few seconds for him to get a result.
"Oh no…"
With a fearful look he turned briefly to his friends.
"He's no longer breathing !!"
