"He's no longer breathing!"


Only the sounds of Chopper giving all his might to revive Luffy could be heard on board the Flying Lamb. His little hooves kept pressing on the chest with full force, but it didn't work.

"His lungs are full of water! If he doesn't spit it out soon, it won't look good for him !!"
Chopper took on another shape to use even more strength.

But again nothing. Luffy stayed where he was.

When Chopper leaned away from Luffy after a while there were tears in his eyes. That was the ignition key.
Nami threw herself into Robin, who was stunned herself and could not and did not want to understand the situation. Usopp on his knees in shock, while Sanji just stood there perplexed and couldn't believe his eyes.

"Can't you do anything more, Chopper?", Whispered Zorro, who also had to pull himself together.
"I'm sorry ... he doesn't even react to me -...! ZORRO !!!!"

Everyone watched with wide eyes as Zorro rushed towards Luffy, grabbed him and shook him violently.

"You damn idiot! Please wake up again !!!"

Nothing.

Zorro put Luffy back on the floor and had to turn his face away from him. He wasn't the only one who had started shaking. After his outbreak, no one could hold back any longer, her composure a lot.

"Damn it, I told you to WAKE UP !!!!!!"
Zorro hit Luffy with full force.

They had long since given up hope. Everyone had averted their eyes from Zorro and Luffy.

Your captain had experienced so much, survived so much and now they had lost him so suddenly? Her captain, her dream catcher, her pain in the ass, but above all her boyfriend. Should that be the end of your crew by now?
"Luffy ... come back ... please !!!!" Nami sobbed loudly into Robin's top.

And then...Suddenly they heard the relieving cough.
With a single blow, Zorro had managed to squeeze the water out of Luffy's lungs.
A frightened, overwhelmed sound went through the group and everyone rushed forward to make sure that he was alive.

But Luffy lay there with peacefully closed eyes, mouth slightly open. The crew winced when suddenly a loud snore echoed around. Amazed, they looked at Luffy, who now seemed to be sleeping comfortably and an angry, but relieved sigh escaped them. Nevertheless, Sanji and Zorro couldn't avoid giving Luffy a hard headbutt, who then slowly and moaning opened his eyes. Expectant looks met him, which he returned questioningly.

“What are you all looking at me like that ?!” He quickly grabbed his neck when he started to hurt like crazy while speaking.
"Now already says, has something happened?"
There was a brief silence and immediately afterwards it broke out.

"YOU WOULD ALMOST CREPEED AWAY !!!!!"

Luffy blinked in surprise.
"Oh ... well, but I'm still alive." His statement was accompanied by a loud growl in his stomach. Unbelieving looks met him.
"Sanji? I'm hungry ... will I finally get my steak? But before that ... where is my straw hat?" "Ahh ... thank you, Usopp ..."

Luffy slowly got up again. He winced almost imperceptibly when a throbbing pain ran through his shoulder again and he had to stifle a low scream. Nobody noticed.

"Where are you going now?"
Not only Nami looked confused from the laundry.
"I'm going to sleep ... I'm tired ..." Demonstratively, he strolled broken to the door that led to the boys' dormitory.
"Get me when my steak is done." And the door slammed shut.

"What ... the ... hangman was that again?"That was probably going through everyone's mind at the moment. It wasn't Luffy's way of simply going to sleep. He hadn't reacted that way even after the toughest of battles.

"Hmm. I think he just needs some rest now. After all, he just barely escaped death." Robin's statement received silent approval from all sides, but mixed with confusion and slight concern.

"Well, but we should be glad Luffy is still alive! I think we should have a toast with him later when he wakes up." Usopp's voice was still numb as he was aware of his guilt.
"Yes, you are right. We shouldn't keep making faces like that. I'll prepare the food for the celebration!"
"Yeah! Let's celebrate!"

The crew broke out into general roaring and laughing, but it still didn't sound entirely relieved. They still had the feeling that it wasn't over, even though Luffy had gotten through it all safe and sound. But everyone kept their uncertainty to themselves in the hope of being able to forget what had happened.

After Luffy had closed the door behind him, he stopped and leaned back, sighing exhausted. He could hear every word his crew said. Every unsure word.
When he wanted to raise his hand to run across his face, Luffy felt the sudden pain again and winced, his face contorted.

Fortunately, he had lied to the others. Had he admitted that he would remember everything, they would never have left him alone in life. Chopper would have examined him. But he hadn't meant to worry them any more. The faces of his friends had shocked him when he opened his eyes again earlier. There had been sheer fear in them.

He held his hand on his left shoulder in pain.
"Damn ... what just happened down there?"
With exhausted steps he walked towards his hammock."What kind of thing was that ...
...it hurts so bad..."
