Die 17 Drachen

First chapter - Zala

My first chapter ... don't be angry with me if you don't like it, but I can't help it. The second chapter has already started but not finished yet ...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~
I looked out the window and sighed. Math was boring, especially with Mrs. Klinks. Our class was noisy, you could almost not hear the teacher any more. I stared at my math problem we should do the math. Calculating percentages was not that easy, but it was easier than some other calculations. Next to me sat a blond little person, it was Jana who was checking the bill with a calculator. "May I take a moment?" I asked her as she put him to one side. "You can do it," she said softly and looked in her notebook. I took the calculator and typed in the numbers, wrote down the result and as soon as I was finished, Mrs. Klinks called: “Now let's compare the results.” She called out to some who gave the result.Mine was right.
I let out a sigh of relief when the doorbell finally rang for the break. I quickly put on my jacket and waited for Jana to speak to the teacher. I grinned. Later she came to me and walked down to the school yard with me. Our classroom was on the first floor.
When we reached our regular seat in the school yard, I saw Lisa, an old classmate of mine and Lea and Celine, two of the sixth whom I knew well. Lea was also my best friend, next to Lisa. "Hi," shouted Jana and I, the three of them returned our greeting. I talked to Lea the rest of the break about D.N.Angel, an anime series that we both liked.
When we were just about to find out who was the best substitute teacher for the characters from the anime, the doorbell rang. I shouted: "See you in the second!" And went upstairs with Lisa and Jana. Lea and Celine had to go to the orientation building and therefore couldn't walk with us. "What do you have now?", Lisa asked and looked at me.
I thought about it and then said: "I think we have German now, you?" "Erdkäs", she said a little annoyed, Erdkäs was our expression for geography, we have been using it since the 5th grade and we have been able to do it since this grade do not suffer particularly well. Jana was silent, on the first floor Jana and I said goodbye to Lisa, who was in another class.
We hurried to our classroom and entered it. Our teacher Ms. Föbel was already there, but half of the class was still missing. We sat in our seats in silence, I took off my jacket, pulled it over the chair and took out my German stuff. "I was right, we have German," I muttered. Jana nodded and pretended, I did the same.
In the meantime the whole class was missing, when we said: "Good morning, Ms. Föbel", the missing one came too. It was Benjamin, as always. I sighed and sat down. Our class teacher, Ms. Berens, had given our German teacher a stack of sheets of paper that turned out to be parents' evening letters.This she distributed and we should give the sheets to our parents. The rest of the lesson went normally, at the moment we had the topic of person description and the whole class had to write a description of a woman.
After that we had English, the lesson was quite quiet, although we were quite noisy with the other teachers. Everyone breathed a sigh of relief when we finally heard the bell ring. Everyone streamed down the door for break. I as well .
When I got downstairs, I talked to Lisa about the teachers, there were so many that we were angry about. The break was over far too quickly and we had lessons again.
This time history and biology. Both lessons passed pretty quickly, both teachers made their lessons exciting and good.
Happy to finally have the afternoon ahead of me, I went to my bike, unlocked it and waited for Lea and Celine.
I always drove with them. Then they came, unlocked their locks and got on their bikes.We drove off together. The buses only drove past us, we just managed to get onto the street where there were no buses and it was pretty quiet. Lea and Celine were talking about something, I tried to listen but I couldn't.
At home, I did my homework under the supervision of my mother, who didn't look pleased because I didn't want to eat for lunch.
When I finished my homework I gave my mother the slip of paper and she just said, "Dad has to go there. And you have to come too." "I know," I said and got up.
The rest of the lunchtime I spent listening to music, because Lea didn't have time today and neither did other friends of mine. I thought about it, the parents' evening was already tomorrow evening, that means, tomorrow I can hardly do anything in the evening. I groaned, the rest of the day passed without any major events. In the evening, after the school bag was packed, I went to bed and read until half past ten.I fell asleep quickly ...
The next morning, I had breakfast in silence and then cycled to school, at school it was pretty boring this time we repeated a lot.
At lunchtime I ate something and this time didn't have to do any homework, I sat on my bed and read the book that I had just received. Towards evening my father came and shouted: “Zala, we're going!” I quickly put on my shoes and my jacket, my father went out and I followed to the garage. He pulled out the car and stopped at my place. I got in, the radio was already on. We drove to school in silence, even before we started it was getting dark when we got to the school. My father and I headed for the auditorium and then went up the stairs to the first floor. Mrs. Berens was already standing at the door and smiled: “The parents' children are allowed to occupy themselves.” I nodded and said to my father: “See you later!” And went back down into the yard, it wasn't very cold so I could wait here well.I ran to a tree that was in a circle of earth with a concrete wall on the outside. I sat on the concrete and looked at the stars. You could see them clearly, there were no clouds in the sky. Lost in thought, I did not even notice the shapes running through the shadows of the buildings.
Only when something cut past my side did I startle. Startled, I looked back, behind me where the tree was stuck a knife in its trunk that was shaking. Then I understood and looked carefully down at my side, blood was flowing from a not deep, but instead of a wound. "Ouch ...", I whispered and pressed my hand on it, maybe this stopped the bleeding. I looked around with clenched teeth.
And then I saw her, two people standing on the roof of the sports hall, clearly recognizable in the dark, staring at me. Suddenly and incredibly quickly they jumped off the roof and now stood in front of me. Both were dressed in cloaks and I couldn't see their faces because of the hoods."Is that the girl?" One asked the other in a cutting voice. "Yes, the description fits and we can ask you too ...", the second answered in a lurking voice.
I was overcome by a paralyzing fear, I wanted to run away but my legs didn't move. ' Move! Finally move! 'it shot through my head.
It felt like forever before I managed to get my knee up. The two figures noticed and hissed: "You stay here nicely!" Their hands shot forward, suddenly someone grabbed me from behind and pulled me so that I stumbled a few steps backwards. Not a second too early, the strangers' hands shot past me and I recognized that there were knives on the palms of my hands. Did you want to kill me?
I wanted to look around for my rescuer because he jumped in front of me and pulled a knife himself. It was a boy with black hair that I had saved. "Run!" Shouted my rescuer and quickly parried the attacks of his opponents, a fight had broken out like I had never seen him before!Hesitantly, I got up and winced, my cut hurt terribly, I managed to get up and now stood with shaky legs behind the fighting.
"Go! Run! I'll come after you! Don't worry!", Came the voice again. One of the cloak beings tried to come by, but the boy stopped them.
I turned around, tossed back one last glare, and then ran as fast as possible as my wound would allow. "I need a hiding place," I mumbled and looked around panting, the fear had long been in my bones and could no longer be chased away.
"Here!" Called a voice that sounded strangely familiar. I hobbled in the direction from which she was coming and soon after was standing under the fir trees that stood by one of the pavilongs here. An old, tall man stood in the middle and looked at me with blue eyes.
I walked cautiously towards the Lord, I had the feeling that his eyes were penetrating mine.I breathed a sigh of relief when his gaze finally fell from my eyes, but to immediately notice that his gaze fell on my wound.
Suddenly he was standing next to me and lifting my jacket and warm sweatshirt up, it hurt. Tears welled up in my eyes and I gritted my teeth and didn't start screaming.
I forced myself to look what the man was doing there, amazingly he felt my wound and it didn't hurt, he quickly put on a bandage while he cursed. When he was done he stepped out of the pine trees and looked around, I stayed under the trees and didn't feel like getting any more injuries.
"Tarek! Where are you?", Called the old man, finally I could see him correctly, he had silver-black short hair and a strong body. He was wearing a loose blue shirt and black pants.
There was an answer far away, but I did not understand it. The man turned and came back to me, a person suddenly appeared behind him and crept up to him.I opened my eyes and shouted: “Watch out!” Before the words could reach him, he spun around and stabbed the attacker with a short sword between the ribs. The enemy fell to the ground when he died, I couldn't imagine what he looked or looked like, I couldn't see anything and was quite happy about it.
"Damn enemies!" The old man cursed, pulled his knife out of his body and looked at me.
"We'd better get out of here!" He said. I looked at him in shock, my father had just occurred to me and I replied: "But ..." "No
