Bloody Rose
little bit because all the people stared at me like that. New rule: never be mean to a girl in front of an audience.
I turned around carefully. I didn't dare to look at her, fearing that bitter tears had rolled down her face. But it was still there exactly as I had left it. She had clenched her little hands into fists, pressed them together and held them so that they bumped against her chin. Her eyebrows were drawn together in a strange way and her eyes were still dangerously moist. That emphasized her sad look.
I sighed. But it was a friendly sigh. "Oh Cindy." I said in an extra soft voice.
I cocked my head and looked at the floor, then looked at her and smiled. I walked over to her with long strides and put an arm around her shoulder.
"Vinvin are you still mad?" She asked in a low voice.
I shook my head slightly so that my strand fell on my face. She wiped it away from me with her long, slender fingers.
"You can never be mad at you long enough. But come on now."
Still with my arm around her shoulder, we continued walking. We passed a woman with an orange skirt who was smoking a cigarette. Man, if I was a fashion freak I would say that rock was totally out. But since I wasn't one, I left out the comment.
"What a cute couple they are," I heard them say behind me.
I took my arm off Cindy’s shoulder and backed up until I found the woman in the ugly orange skirt on my left.
"First: She's not my friend. Second: Smoking is unhealthy. You should know that as an adult." I took the cigarette out of her mouth with two fingers and let it fall on the floor, then I stepped on it and made a quick movement to the right by 90 degrees.
She stared at me open-mouthed, but couldn't say a word.
"Always with pleasure.", I said and gave her a smile. "Now we can move on Cindy."
I rejoined her and we walked on in silence.
"Vinvin are you going to English class with me?" Cindy asked me. But before I could answer, her evil sister got ahead of me. "No Cin, he's going with me.", Cassandra had put her hands on my shoulder and was peeking out from behind me. I put my hands on hers and pushed them away. Then I turned and looked at her. She was wearing a black skirt that was way too short and those fishnet tights that I hated. Her feet were covered by black boots with monster heels. The purest suicide.
Then she wore a white blouse with a much too deep neckline.
"Hello Vinvin.", She said with a strange emphasis in her voice and took a step towards me. In turn, I took a step back.
It was her. Cassandra, my very own demon. She always did everything to wipe out her poor sister. Among them was me to relax her. She fell in love with me while trying. Or so she says. Cassandra was a real bitch. Up until now she had had every boy in her year as a boyfriend. I excluded because I turned her off. But Cass never gave up, and neither did her sister Cindy. The worst part was that all the girls hate Cass (which I can understand) and now they are trying to get me in front of her. That can truly be called a war. A catfight. Unfortunately, I wasn't interested in any of these girls. Some have understood it, others just don't want to let it go into their thick skulls.
"I asked Vinvin first, so he's going with me." Cindy protested.
"He's not interested in you though. Wasn't Vinvin?"
I sighed. They always fought for my attention. That really got on my nerves. I slowly raised my head and smiled at Cassandra.
"You're right. Almost at least. I have not the slightest interest in any of you." While Cindy stared at me with her mouth open, Cassandra's eyes flashed dangerously. "So ladies, if you'll excuse me," I pushed Cass a little to the side and walked past her. Halfway to the English room, Victorica met me. She was wearing a black skirt - but not as short as Cass' s - and a white T-shirt.
"Hello Vincent. Shall we go to English together?""But sure, Vic." I said and looked over my shoulder at the Gold Twins. Before I went out with Victorica, I waved to both of them and smiled wickedly.
"You are not using me to get rid of Cassandra and Cindy, are you?" When she spoke, she looked straight ahead.
"No, I don't. We're best friends," I purred and grinned.
Yes now it's out. Victorica is my best friend. Wasn't difficult to guess either. We knew each other from childhood and nothing had changed in our relationship. We were just friends. Best friends. Most of these friendships were broken when one fell in love with the other. It wasn't like that for us and it would never change. I was quite sure of that ...
The door to the classroom was wide open. Some of the students were already in their seats, but nothing of the teacher was to be seen.
I strolled to my seat and dropped into the chair. Victorica tossed me her backpack. "Vinc, I have to go for a moment. Take the place for me!", She shouted and turned on her heel and ran out of the room.
"Claro.", I said although she was no longer to be seen.
A few seconds after Victorica had left the room, Cindy entered the room, followed by Cassandra. Cindy hesitates, but then she came up to me with unsteady steps. I looked at her and didn't change my face, but that was enough to make her realize that she was undesirable. She changed course and headed for another place. Now it was Cassandra's turn and she couldn't be intimidated so quickly. With her monster boots came up to me. Click, clack, click, clack made her heels on the dark green linoleum.
She put a hand on the table and leaned forward. "Vinvin do you mind if I sit next to you?"
"But something of," I said and looked at her hostile.
