It was cold when he stepped out the door. The wind caught in his hair and cloak and made the autumn leaves swirl around.

He inhaled the cool air and wished he were far away from this place.

He felt movement behind him. But he didn't have to turn around to know who was behind him.

"You're leaving?" Asked Alina. In her hand she held a candle that gave off a faint glow.

He nodded. "It has to be. I've waited long enough." He looked at the street, which was almost completely dark.

Alina stepped out next to him on the doorstep. With the other hand she shielded the candle from the wind. She followed his gaze and frowned. "So you really want to see your brother ..."

He nodded again and sighed.

Alina turned her gaze to him. "I'll tell the others. But if they'll understand ..." She shrugged. "Well who knows."

The wind had tousled his hair by now. Pale blonde, almost silvery hair ... and ice blue eyes, the only things that reminded him of his parents. And her only legacy to him.

Alina shivered and pulled her dressing gown tighter around her. "Take care then. And ... good luck. I hope you know what you're doing." She leaned forward and kissed his cheek. Then she turned and disappeared back into the house.

He went down the steps in front of the house and took the path that led from the house to the street. Behind him he heard the door slam shut.

He looked up at the moon, which hung like a narrow sickle in the sky. But not only because of that this only weakly illuminated the night, because a black cloud cover was in the sky and announced a storm.

He forced himself not to turn around to face the house one last time. He wouldn't look back, he'd sworn to himself.

"My brother," he muttered in his mind. "My brother..."The thin cloud cover tore open and the moon shone on his face. He closed his eyes and a name came over his lips. It sounded like an oath:

"Draco Malfoy ..."
