Fanfic: Missing daughter
Chapter: The final exam
We lay by the lake until the end of school and then made our way back to the village. Hinata had still not told me if she was into Sasuke, but I would surely find out later, after all, I knew myself.
Hinata was expected to eat, but no one was expecting me. Depressed, I went to my little apartment and put on some pasta, after all I could cook on my own.
After I had finished my lunch and done the dishes, I made my way to the training ground, where I wanted to practice something for the final exams tomorrow.
~ I'm not like Naruto and I'm not going to fail! I will do it, I know that! ~
I concentrated my chakra and created two perfect shadow doubles of myself. So I mastered this jutsu.
Next I tried the henge-no-jutsu, the jutsu of transformation. No sooner had I made the first finger sign than the situation at school occurred to me. I was insecure, intimidated and spoiled the image of the third Hokage.
"CRAP!" I swore and turned back again.
So my jutsus only worked when I was really concentrating and not when I was insecure or something.
I sighed and dropped into the grass. I didn't want it to be like that.
"Do you want to train for tomorrow too?" Asked a familiar voice.
"W-what do you want here?"
I sat up again and looked into my classmate's face. For once, his dog was not sitting on his head, but in his jacket.
"I wanted to train, just like you."
The dog, Akamaru, jumped out of his jacket, ran towards me, and finally jumped on my arm and licked my face.
"Hey, that tickles," I said with a laugh.
"Akamaru seems to like you."
I became more serious again and again a slight shimmer of red flashed over my face.
"We can ... train together."I suggested, a little shyly.
"Yes we can."
Kiba held out his hand and helped me up. Now our training could begin.
He started and made two shadow doubles who got into fighting stance.
"You learn more through a fight."
"Okay, agreed!"
I did not shy away from being challenged to a fight, but accepted. I pulled a kunai from the pocket on my right leg and took up a defensive position.
Kiba grinned and Akamaru lay down on the grass and watched him, apparently refusing to interfere in this fight.
The two doppelgangers Kibas stormed towards me, but with targeted blows to the temple and head, they evaporated.
"Is that all you can do?" I asked mockingly.
"Luca, you won't believe it, but ... No."
This time the real Kiba stormed up to me and threw some kunais at me. I dodged them to the rear and drew a few throwing stars myself, which flew in his direction a short time later.
He avoided them to the side, stumbled and flew a few meters until he was finally slowed down by the earth.
"Kiba!" I shouted and ran towards him.
He got up and started laughing. Confused, I knelt next to him and looked at the scratch on his shoulder.
"How unlucky do I have to lose to you?"
"Hey, are you making fun of me ?!"
"No, you fought well. Didn't think you'd win."
"Neither do I ..." I admitted somewhat sheepishly.
I stood up again and helped him up. He wanted to train a little more and I gave him a revenge.
Again he sent Kunais to meet me, but this time I didn't avoid them backwards or sideways. I let them through me in the truest sense of the word. My body loosened
just opened up so that the kunai flew through a swarm of origami leaves and got stuck in a tree trunk.
"Okay ... you have to show me how to do it.""I can't do that, I don't know one hundred percent how it works myself. Sometimes one thing just comes to the other and I'm nothing more than paper ..."
I kept thinking that I wanted to be flesh and blood again, and eventually my body put itself back together.
"Made it." I sighed in relief.
"You, it's getting late and you look a bit exhausted too ... We should finish training for today."
"Oh ... yes, maybe you are right ..."
I was a little disappointed because he was actually fun to train with. Akamaru said goodbye to me with a kiss like a dog and Kiba disappeared with him.
I stayed there for a while before I made my way home. Tomorrow there were final exams and if I passed them I would become a genin and come a little closer to my dream of becoming a ninja.
After a while, I was lying in my bed, staring wearily at the ceiling. There was a reason I wanted to be a ninja: I wanted to meet my parents.
The next day had come and they had all shown up for the final exams. Little by little we were called and had to perform a certain Jutsu. It was my turn too and just had to create three images of myself.
~ The jutsu of the shadow doubles, I can do that. ~
I was happy and happily created three doppelgangers of mine.
"Congratulations, you passed."
"YEAH!" I shouted happily and took the headband that made me a genin from now on.
I tied it around my neck and left the exam room. Hinata, who had already passed her exam, met me.
"You did it too?" She asked me shyly.
"Sure, what do you think?"
I fell around her neck and finally dragged her to a meadow.
"Let's go away until the exams are over."
"But ... we should stay here and wait.""Hinata, have you never done something that is forbidden?"
"No."
I sighed and dropped into the grass.
"Then we have to wait for better or worse, right?"
"Y-yes."
Hinata sat down next to me and we waited until the last one was at the exam. We saw that almost everyone had got hold of a headband, except for Naruto.
"Naruto failed again. I'm kind of sorry for him."
"Yes..."
"But I know that one day he will make it. After all, he will not be dissuaded and keep trying."
"Yes..."
"Oh Hinata, you can talk to me a little more."
"Yes, okay."
I sighed and got up. You couldn't talk a lot with Hinata, she was just too shy for that.
"Are you coming? I want to see if Kiba made it."
"And Sasuke?"
"That one anyway."
I was annoyed about this uchiha. He got the attention because he was the last of the Uchiha clan. Oh how great ...
We pushed through the crowd and saw them, Sasuke and Kiba also had a headband.
"Hinata, you did it."
I fell radiant around her neck and wanted to approach Kiba and congratulate him, but there she was again, my shyness.
~ Oh no, please not now ... ~
My legs didn't move an inch forward, but kept moving backwards. That was really the milk of a mouse.
Before I knew it, I was standing in front of the school and I really felt like crying. Hinata came after and together we made our way home.

Well, until the next chapter, which will hopefully be a little more exciting ò.ó
