After Shuichi found out about this, his image of Jodie changed. He had known why she was now with the FBI and he agreed to work with her on the cases.
For a long time, it was fine too. The two got along great and it couldn't go any better.They became real friends and could trust each other with just about anything.

"Good decision", Jodie grinned and hugged him with joy. That was also a typical behavior of her. If she liked it, she would give him a hug or start cracking funny jokes.

"James told me last night that it's pretty quiet about our little friends at the moment," Jodie said quietly. She got up now and looked out of the classroom.
Safe was safe and no one should hear. And there wasn’t any student there either, which didn’t surprise her. Most of the time, students were only there in the afternoon when they had to attend detention or when they had to master punitive tasks.

Not only had Araide been a doctor, he was the school basketball coach and did quite well.
"I made a little order in the consulting room, but I didn't expect anyone to stay here that long.Jodie, you keep surprising me, "said the doctor and smiled.
"It can go that fast. Or do you want to get rid of me?" Asked the blonde. Her accent came out again and she walked with him to the school gate.
"No, I am always happy about such a nice company and I would like to go with you a little longer, but I don't think that it will take my time," Araide shook her head and looked at her again and again. "May I ask what are you still doing here?"
"I still read an essay by a student, it tied me so much and I had to read it to the end first. Till the end," said the blonde.
"Yes, it was the same with me when I was studying medicine. Some things were really exciting and you couldn't stop reading," he nodded understandingly. "I have to go back to my car now. It was nice to have seen you," he added and then said goodbye.
"You too ... you too," Jodie grinned and looked after the doctor. Then she set out on her own and wanted to pursue one of the jobs she usually did in Japan.
