"Then we come to your task, Shinichi Kudo," Dorar began to speak, while Shinichi was already listening intently. He had been quite curious which riddle he had to solve first and wondered above all whether he would be able to do it without further ado.
"I took a difficult puzzle especially for you, listen carefully, it will not be repeated. A man, his age does not matter, is sitting on the train. He is a non-smoker and is therefore also in the non-smoking compartment. Said man is up on the way home. On the way he falls asleep, after he wakes up, he starts screaming, feels for the window and jumps out. Due to the speed of the train, he had no chance of survival and is now lying next to the rails. Had the same But if you sat in the smoking compartment, then he would surely still be alive. I want you to tell me why that would be the case, "the stranger asked the detective of the east to do this. He had thought for a long time which of the three would have been best for which case and so he began with the simple things that required a great gift of combination. In addition, he didn't want to start with one of the other cases right away, but wanted to see whether the three detectives would also be able to get the solution from so little information. "To make it more interesting for me, as I am very generous today, I will give you half an hour to solve the riddle. I wish you every success", Dorar concluded. Then the tape came to a standstill and did not unwind anything. Now Shinichi had to see how he got along with the whole thing on his own.
Thoughtfully, he leaned against the front door through which he had to go through, looked questioningly at the sky and found that the answer to the riddle was nowhere to be found. It hadn't been bad, and one thing, he agreed with Dorar. This task challenged him; normally he had always solved real cases with actions, but rarely such puzzles and if so, then only when they were in the newspaper or when Professor Agasa came up with another one. Now Shinichi thought about approaching the whole thing very rationally. He recalled everything that Dorar told him about the riddle.
The man falls asleep in the non-smoking compartment, he's on his way home. When he wakes up, he is shocked and jumps off the train, which costs his life. If he were in the smoking compartment he would be alive ... but why? , Shinichi repeated the main details of the puzzle. He wasn't sure yet what the solution was, but he could be sure that the man's age didn't matter, and the word return trip was also quite specific. The return trip, it can mean anything. If the man is on the train, then he has to come from somewhere and the place could give me information about everything, but this Dorar veiled it, but maybe I don't need the place at all, Shinichi said to himself. He thought and thought. He wasted twenty minutes on it and he still hadn't found the solution, maybe it was too easy and he just thought too complicated. However, he wondered what the smoking compartment was all about and why it had apparently been so important after all. He missed something, but what?
"Open your eyes, Shinichi, you missed something," he muttered to himself. "Or maybe to close your eyes?"
Shinichi didn't know what to do next, he literally got stuck with this puzzle and he didn't have that much time now. What did he miss? What had he not thought of? Thoughtfully, he closed his eyes and imagined the whole scenario. It was like lightning bolted through his body, he had found the solution. It was so simple and, as he thought it would be, way too simple. Realizing that he didn't have much time left, he began to write the solution into the small laptop as quickly as possible and sent it off. Now it was time to wait until Dorar accepted the solution or not.
The man himself is a non-smoker, which is why he also took the non-smoking compartment. The drive back home refers to the fact that he was just driving back from an operation. Work or a meeting with friends can be excluded, as the man would then certainly not have rushed out of the compartment. Then I come to the operation, I mean, it was an eye operation because the man was blind. The operation was probably successful, so he was able to leave the clinic very soon. On the train, the man nodded off, when he woke up, the train crossed a tunnel. So you can guess what happened. The man opened his eyes, saw nothing and was devastated, his last hope was taken because he thought he was blind again. He no longer wanted this agony in his life and therefore jumped out the window into certain death. Now I can come to the point why the smoking compartment would have saved his life, if he woke up there, then one of the people sitting next to me would certainly smoke from the front right, left or opposite. As a result, the man would have seen the glow of the cigarette and would not have suspected that he was blind.
"You are a smart fellow, Shinichi Kudo," grinned Dorar after reading this message. With a click of the mouse, he sent the young detective two more words 'Access granted', which gave the green light that gave Shinichi entry into the villa.

"Now we come to you, Saguru Hakuba," said Dorar. "I have thought of this riddle for you, listen carefully, it will not be repeated again. We are in a room, there are three men sitting around a table. All three died, two had gunshot wounds, and the third died an inexplicable death. However, there are playing cards and a weapon on the table. What exactly happened here? ", the stranger asked the detective this task." To make it more interesting for me, I will give you, as I am very generous today, half an hour to solve the riddle. I wish you every success ", Dorar finished his remarks. Then the tape stopped and did not unwind anything. Now Saguru also had to see how he got along with the whole thing on his own.
Saguru does it as usual, he took out his little notebook and wrote down the most important dates and facts. He could have memorized it, too, but the safest method was still to jot it down properly and still have access to the notes for a long time to come. The riddle was difficult, the young detective thought so too, but it spurred him on and if he already imagined that the other two had already solved their riddle, he had to solve his too. Unlike Shinichi, Saguru didn't imagine the whole scenario in his mind, he sketched it out and looked at his piece of paper. He had drawn the three men around a table, then briefly outlined the maps and the weapon and finally around all three, a small square that reflected the room. Hakuba studied his drawing thoughtfully. He immediately noticed that the room had something to do with the deaths of the men, but he hadn't yet realized what the cards meant.
Did the men play cards? But why? What does the gun have to do with it? Saguru wondered, looking again at his drawing. He had the feeling that he now had a big board in front of his head, the one that prevented him from thinking properly about everything. On the side, exactly where he had marked the cards, he wrote down that the men had played before.Even if it was a little illogical, but it must have been, before her death the men played with each other, almost as if they knew what was going to happen. Again Saguru thought of the room, it had been small, maybe even much too small, so small that you wouldn't survive in it for long. After he got that thought, he knew it. He knew what had happened and why the men had the tickets. In a hurry, Saguru typed his answer on the laptop and sent it off.
Looking at the room, I only came to one conclusion. The men must be in a room where the air is running out very quickly, I suspect it could be a submarine. This was shot at or can no longer appear for other reasons, so that it is due to the immobile at the bottom of the sea floor. I don't think we need to discuss why the boat is on the ocean floor and where the rest of the crew is, as I don't think they have been involved in the perfidious game of the three men. The room is locked and there is not enough air inside, so the men would die anyway. I assume they had a gun and only two ammunition, which is why only two of the men died from the gunshot wounds. Furthermore, we have the assumption that the men had a game of cards, they then played. It was a kind of poker. Those who won were shot by the loser, causing a quick death. The loser, in the broadest sense, had been the loser, he had to wait all the time until he suffocated in agony.
This is exactly how Saguru sent the message, while typing he took quite a lot of time, even if he didn't have that much left, but he wanted to do everything properly as always and now just waited for an answer. Just like with Shinichi, there was a response with the words 'Access granted' and again a green light flashed. Now Saguru could also enter the villa.

"I wish you a lot of fun, Heiji Hattori," said Dorar. "I've come up with this riddle for you and I'm listening very carefully, it won't be repeated whether you want it or not. One evening a student goes to a party of his student union. He drinks a few glasses of punch, but the next morning he has to get up early to work. That's why he leaves the party first. The next day he learns from the newspaper that his fellow students were dying of poisoned punch. He had noticed nothing and he is still fine. There was none Signs of poisoning with him. How is that possible? ", Said Dorar. He was curious to see whether the detective of the West would solve his riddle and, as with the others, there was a time limit here. "To make it more interesting for me, as I am very generous today, I will give you half an hour to solve the riddle. I wish you the best of luck," the tape came to an end.
