As so often in autumn, it started to rain again. At first it just drizzled, then the torrents came and the children could no longer play outside. The danger of getting dirty and clean had been too much of a hassle for the trained staff at the orphanage.
As always, the white-haired girl sat on a chair and looked outside. She smiled a little and enjoyed watching the rain even if she couldn't play outside, but that hadn't been so important to her. She had been in the orphanage since she was a baby, she couldn't remember her parents, she didn't know anything and maybe it was better for her. Her parents didn't want her and gave her away. She didn't care more, even if she initially wondered why it had happened. Was she really that bad as a baby? Was she still that bad? The fact was that she had no friends in the home either, she slowly began to befriend someone, to trust him, that person was gone within five days, adopted, led a happier life and disappeared from the girl's life. She sighed briefly and was about to take a book from the side cabinet when she felt his hand on hers. Immediately the two pairs of eyes magically attracted and looked at each other.
"Then take the book, I can choose another one," said the boy, already looking around for the next book that he wanted to read to his brother.
"I can take another one too," replied the girl. She had always been careful to please others. They should be happy even if she wasn't.
"We can also read it together. I wanted to read it to my little brother, he certainly doesn't mind if you come along and hear something. You can also read it out yourself," he smiled and looked at her.
"Oh yes", Kisara nodded and clapped her hands with joy.Then she got up and went with him.
That's how it started back then, that was the beginning of the friendship between Kisara, Seto and Mokuba. But she quickly became sad on the day that Gozaburo Kaiba visited the orphanage. Even then she was disappointed when Seto negotiated that the two brothers would be adopted and not her too. He had said that it was easier when Gozaburo only had two children for the first time. He had promised that he would get her out soon too, so that all three were together again and had each other in the dark moments of their childhood ...
