The last march



I walk towards the horizon
My feet are sore
Got no more feelings in my toes
Red socks from the blood!

With every step I take
Carries me hope and courage
A little closer to the shore
And there is a boat waiting there![/bi]


Screams, screams of fear filled the air. People screaming for help in panic. Shouted for friends, family members.

I didn't know how long I had been running. I always had one goal in mind. My feet hurt. Blood flowed through the many fights.
I looked back briefly, searching. The entire castle was on fire. My gaze fell on the creature next to me.

How glad I was that we escaped in time.

With every step I took, came hope and courage. A courage that I never had before.
We just had to go up there. Arrive at the lake. Then we would be saved.

I promised you I'd get you out of here.

When you lay under the rubble, something inside of me broke. I was afraid. Fear of losing you. I didn't know why I felt like this, actually I should have left you there. So I was commanded. But ... I decided against it. I couldn't let you down

We had come this far now. Curses shot over our heads. We both kept our heads down to avoid getting hit, but we looked ahead.

We had to go to the lake. Boats waited there for the injured to take them to safety.

We had to get out of here, no, you had to get out of here. You needed the security. I didn't mean to lose you.

Suddenly you slumped. I quickly pulled you up again. I realized how weak you were right now. You used too much energy.
