(This part of the Eos saga takes place between the Cell saga and the Boo saga, five years after the bio-android played its terrible games. Son Goku's rescue operation prevented the worst. He lost but his life. The Cell Games were now only a bad memory. But as if every effort to keep the peace had been in vain, a new threat looms in the vastness of the universe.)
2 THE BLUE LIGHT
Quite a bit of time has passed since the atrocities committed by Freezer. Thanks to Son Goku and the Kaio of the North, the Namekians had found a new home on a peaceful, remote planet, far from their destroyed one. Surrounded by the vastness of the universe and oppressive darkness, this shimmered in a green aura. It was no longer three suns that provided the new planet with sufficient light, but only two, which shone all the more powerfully.
But to the chagrin of these peaceful people, the idyll did not last very long. Everything had changed a few days ago. A strange light had appeared in the sky of the green planet, which at first could only be seen in delicate features, at some point it shone strongly. With its actually beautiful and harmonious color scheme, it conveyed something threatening and alien. From those very days the Elder had felt a frightening force approaching the realm of the Namekians. He sat restlessly in his house, which had been in the northernmost village. He brooded every day. It wasn't clear to him whether this force would really pose a threat, especially since it had just been a blue light. He didn't know how to behave without causing unnecessary turmoil among the population. The most important thing was to keep calm, at all costs. What could they have done? It was better that way, or at least that's what he believed.
Although he managed to present himself without concern, an indescribable fear of the unknown built up in his deepest thoughts. After all, he was responsible for the well-being of the Namekians. The fear worn down his mind and penetrated with each passing day and the closer the unknown power came out further. He even cried a few nights. But what should he do? He just couldn't get any clear thought. The other Namekians were already worried about him. They knew nothing, and probably never would, but they noticed that something was wrong. But what they couldn't say.
"Aarghh!" Yelled the elder. A sharp pain ran through his head. Immediately those who served him rushed to help. "Is everything all right with you?" "Yes, my friends," he nodded slowly, "I just had a sore back. The suffering of old age." He wished that the worry about him would fade, but there were big, deep wrinkles on the faces of the others Namekians laid. They suspected that there had to be more to it, but they didn't want to bother him any further at this point.
In this way the days passed. In the meantime he had succeeded in convincing his servants that everything was all right. The strange light had grown brighter and cooler. All of this had bothered the old Namek so much that he had grown weaker and weaker over time. This made it more and more difficult to convince the others, but he still succeeded. It was difficult for him to speak even a few words, he always and constantly coughed, his eyes watered incessantly. The other Namek people asked him many questions, but he always answered with a faint smile. He had been desperate, realizing that an end was inevitable. However, he could not and did not want to accept that.
'For a long time I believed that the nightmare that had always haunted our people would finally have subsided with the end of Freezer,' thought the old being, exhaling deeply, 'But now that I feel the malice that is brewing towards us, nothing is further from me than to hope for a happy ending. But I want the people to enjoy their remaining time. Too often we have been robbed of peace, "but then the elder's expression darkened," What is that ...? <
