Im Zeichen des Falken

prolog

A young man pulled himself out of the river with the last of his strength. He trembled all over and collapsed on the bank. His eyes flickered and his head throbbed with pain. He felt blood flow from a wound on his left shoulder.
With all his might he tried to remember how he had got here. He remembered the roaring, bubbling, foam-covered water that whirled him around and pulled him into the depths.
The current carried in here and there - defenseless like a leaf in the wind - but then the water released him and he clawed at a tree trunk with his last strength while the water current carried him with it. Dense forests and deep ravines drew on both banks passed him, but he didn't notice any of this. His fingers clawed into the tree trunk. He struggled to survive.
He did not know how much time had passed until the current subsided and the tree trunk got entangled in a small bay. From there he pulled himself ashore.
He lay there for a long time on the bank, unable to move, unable to withstand the cold in his limbs. And then a hunger such as he had never had. He closed his eyes for a moment and when he opened them again ... He flew ... High above the treetops, he flicked back and forth, looking for something ... ., fed up with the meal of warm flesh and blood, he rose again into the air and continued his search ...

The dull feeling from his stomach was gone and he felt new strength through his vein tiles. He struggled to get up and ran off he ran a long way when two dark eyes met him as dark as as deep as a well in which at midnight the stars reflect. a feeling of familiarity overwhelmed him.
Rihscha ... he heard a voice whisper.
