Fanfic: Release Me!

Chapter: The calm before the crash

Chapter 1:
The calm before the crash

A few words from the author
Yes, finally the first chapter of my new FF is here.
After the prologue, at first I had no idea how to start, but then I had a spiritual inspiration and wrote it down straight away + laugh +
I know the beginning seems rather short, but I'll try to add more to the chapters that follow. So that you also have a lot to read.

I'm really skeptical as to whether the following chapter didn't go wrong ... I'm really afraid that the whole FF will be a grip in the toilet. I therefore ask for many suggestions for improvement and also for criticism, if necessary ...

Besides, I don't know if the title fits that well, since Kaiba is anything but calm in this chapter. But somehow it suits him so well ... So strange that it could almost fit again. And although it seems hopeless for him towards the end, there is still a happy ending for him. But read for yourself. + Gg +

Have fun reading, I hope you like it and you stayed true to me and my story. I also try very hard. Promised.
Your Rioku

~~ The next morning ~~

~ In a still unknown place ~ (xD)

"Riiko, breakfast is ready! Come on, get out of bed, little one!" Shouted the boy who was standing by the girl's bed, holding his sister gently by the shoulder and shaking her. "You shouldn't have stayed up that long. Your own fault if you can't get out of bed now."
The girl just let out a groan.
"Leave me alone, Jun. You're annoying. Get out of my room. And let me sleep.", She growled. She put her head in her pillow and pressed it together. A sigh could be heard. When she realized that he could not be dismissed, she got louder. "What are you waiting for? For an extra invitation?Get out of here, let me sleep in! "
"But it's already 10 o'clock! The tournament will start in an hour!", He roared in panic and his face was adorned with a nasty grin that she, who was still in bed, didn't notice.
"WAAAS?" The girl jumped out of bed, ran to the door, yanked it open and ran straight downstairs to have breakfast.

Jun casually walked down the stairs and looked at the dining table. He saw the girl who sat at the table cram everything into herself as quickly as possible. It reminded him of an eating contest. Another amused grin appeared on his lips and he began to inconspicuously hum a song.
“You can eat slowly.” The boy almost rolled over with laughter.
"Wahsch sahksd duh djah?" (What are you saying?)
The girl looked at the clock on the wall, which was just striking eight o'clock. Suddenly she stopped chewing, got up and hit her chopsticks on the table. "Duh klaihnar Mischtkeahrl ..." (You little bastard ...) She swallowed. "You could have let me sleep for another whole hour! You are really the last!", She yelled, ran with clenched fists towards her brother Jun and jumped at him.
"Riiko, don't do that! You're hurting me!", Moaned the boy who was lying on the floor and was being strangled by his sister.
"Your own fault if you wake me up much too early!"

Shortly afterwards they both sat at the table and ate what had recently been spared by Riiko.
"So, are you well prepared?" He asked as he tampered with a bowl of rice and a fried fish.
Riiko raised her hand confidently and clenched it into a fist. "Sure! I'm always well prepared! Especially when I am above your level with this arrogant, cold-feeling, not-at-all-great-looking, never satisfied, apparently perfect, cocky, 24-hour-working I-am-above-your-level. Ass can finally miss a huge kick, preferably so that every time he sits down in his huge executive chair, he screams out loud in pain, because even years later he can still feel the tremendous pain that my foot has caused on his buttocks .He really deserves a rub. "she said, grinning.

But after a short time the grin disappeared and she looked sadly at the table top. Then she continued: "He can't imagine what I've been through. If only I could ignite a spark of compassion in him. He should finally understand how I suffered. And that, even though he promised me, that he..."
She couldn't hold back her tears after thinking about her childhood again. But she quickly wiped them off her face.
"Don't shed tears for this guy. He's not worth it. And now smile again. That suits you much better than those crying eyes.", Jun said and put his right hand on her left shoulder.
"If I didn't have you, I would have given up on everything long ago. Thank you for still sticking with me, Jun."
“You are and always will be my little sister.” He smiled gently, which gave Riiko a glimmer of hope.
Shortly thereafter, he looked in the newspaper and found an article that was written about a successful duelist. He smiled and showed her the newspaper article. "Look, you're in the paper, Riiko."

~ Meanwhile in the Kaiba mansion ~

Kaiba was sitting with his little brother Mokuba in the dining room and having breakfast. He leafed through the Domino Times and sipped his steaming coffee every now and then. As his little brother suspected, he studied IPOs and stock prices.

"Tell me, brother, why do I have to stay here while you open the tournament?" Mokuba poked at his scrambled eggs with his fork, leaving three more deep holes with each prick. He looked sadly at the already completely perforated toast, the crumbs of which were all around the little boy's plate. Hardly anybody was left where they should be, on the plate.
"Mokuba, I thought the topic was ticked off. I told you you were staying here because there was way too much hustle and bustle there.Lots of journalists, duelists, spectators. And now make sure that you don't throw the rest of your food over the edge of your plate onto the tablecloth. "
"But Seto, if I'm really good, can I come with you?"
"No.", replied the older one coldly, without even looking at his brother.
"What if I stay with you all the time?"
"No." Ice cold again.
The dachshund look that Mokuba had put on had done no good.
Mokuba was getting angry now. He had never been allowed to accompany his brother. But this time he wasn't satisfied with a 'no'. "Why don't you want me with you? I'm your little brother! I'm not a toddler anymore!"
“And still I say no. You stayed here!” He still didn't think it necessary to look his little brother in the face when talking to him.
"You are mean, Seto ...!"
"I said no and it stays that way!" He roared angrily and hit the table with the flat of his hand so hard that his coffee cup overturned, the coffee spilled and dripped from the table top onto his suit and the carpet. Mokuba winced at the first moment, then averted his sad gaze and ate the rest of his scrambled egg (scrambled egg or scrambled egg? Both look strange xD).
Seto began to swear in the meantime, threw the newspaper on the table and went to his room to choose another suit and put it on. The white one he was wearing now was covered in coffee stains.
Seto looked like a brown-spotted cow. The only thing missing was that he ran around on all fours and stuck a cow's tail to the back of his pants. This thought made Mokuba smile.

Shortly after the horror of all the bosses left the room, one of his maids came running in and mopped up the coffee. Another started by removing the stain from the carpeting. When a third grabbed the newspaper to throw it away, Mokuba held it back.“I would also like to have a look at the newspaper.” “If you think so, Mr. Kaiba. If I can help you, let me know.” The maid gave Mokuba the newspaper and disappeared into the kitchen. He flipped and flipped until he found a huge article. "What's that? 'Successful Duelist Enters New Duel Monsters Tournament'." He glanced at a photo that was attached to the article. "That's ...", Mokuba began, but broke off.

The morning was really chaotic. First Master Kaiba falls out of bed when he hears the alarm clock, while going into the shower he wipes the last towel that was still in the closet, he cannot find a suitable suit for the event in his closet (the event is not in his wardrobe, but the suits xD) and then he knocks over the coffee cup, burns himself and the suit he found is ruined. And he read an article, an article about her.

It made him white-hot. She had announced to the press that she would overthrow him and that he would only be the third best duelist in the world. You would be at his current one, right behind the King of the Games, Yugi Muto.
"How dare this brat ...?" Whispered Kaiba and rummaged through his closet for the second time that morning.
He didn't find anything he liked. So he romped through the closet, tossing his suits across the room and causing a total mess. "That can't be ... damn it ...", Kaiba yelled when the door suddenly opened.

"What's going on here? You were brewing around here ...", Mokuba said, who had initially closed his eyes, but his voice failed when he opened his eyes and found the chaos in his brother's room. He started to laugh terribly when he saw that Seto, who was standing over in front of his closet in boxer shorts, threw his suits around and put on that evil, boiling look, which unfortunately more to the bad luck of his big brother what an oh-please-help-me-to-find-my-perfect-suit-and-the-day-will-end-well-look looked."What is there to laugh about, Mokuba?", Seto asked, but his little brother couldn't answer, but just laughed more and rolled on the floor. He even got a stomach ache from laughing too much.
Seto was finally fed up with it, so he grabbed Mokuba by the collar and literally put him in front of the door.
"Isn't there any peace left here?" He asked himself.

A short time later someone was pounding loudly on the door, the tone and speed of which resembled the firing of several dozen bullets with a machine gun.
"Seto, Seto, Seto, I'm sorry, please forgive me
