♥ Like A Rose On The Grave Of Love ♥

My decision to move from the big city to the small town was mainly shaped by the fact that I had more and more arguments with Mom.
When Dad noticed during a visit how tense the mood was, he offered me that I could move in with him.
I thought back and forth for a long time and finally decided to go with it because after my parents divorced I had very little contact with my father and only saw him once a month.
I saw the move as a good opportunity to spend more time with Dad again.
It didn't even bother me that Dad's new friend Diana lived with him.
I had already got to know her and got on really well with her.
Now I was sitting in the train on the way to the small town in which I would spend the next few months.
When the announcement came that we would be there soon, I pulled my black sweater over my red top and looked out the window.
In contrast to the big city, it was very green here and you could see a lot of trees.
When the train stopped I took my big travel bag and got out.
I would have loved to get back on the train as soon as the cold wind blew in my face.
But what should I expect?
After all, it was October.
I put my bag on a wooden bench that looked like it had been there for at least 10 years.
I looked around for Dad and finally came to the conclusion that he probably left home too late.
I slowly started to freeze and started walking up and down.
I didn't even lose sight of the parking lot next to the train station.
// Man, there is nobody here .. Not a soul .. //
I looked around the train station and quickly realized that it was a typical small town train station.
The building was very small and made of red brick.
There were only three tracks and there was a lot of rubbish in between.
>> Natalie !! << I heard a voice call out at once.
I turned in the direction the voice was coming from and saw Dad walking towards me.
A smile spread across my face and I walked towards him until we finally fell into each other's arms.
>> You grew up, my darling, << he said and gave me another squeeze before letting go of me.
>> Well I can't say about you <<, I said with a grin, >> I think you even shrunk <<, I added and had to laugh for a moment.
>> Well, that happens to old people <<, he said with a wink.
>> Oh, you're not that old yet <<, I said truthfully because he was only 38 years old.
>> Should I take your bag? <<, he asked and took it in his hand.
>> That would be nice <<, I said anyway and smiled at him.
>> Then we want to go, right? I'm sure you're tired, << he said while we were walking to the car.
>> Well it works .. If I were exhausted from driving 3 hours then I would be really disappointed in myself <<, I said with a grin.>> You are just a bundle of energy <<, he said and stroked my head before he got in.
I get in on the passenger side and after buckling myself up I asked: >> Where is Diana? <<
"Hmm, she couldn't come with you because she was stopped at work," he said as he drove down from the parking lot.
>> Oh well, I'll see you later <<, I said and stretched out my legs.
>> Yes, so when we are at home I have to go away again for a short time, and I will probably pick up Diana on the way back. If you don't mind being alone for a few hours? << he asked and looked at me briefly.
>> No no I don't mind. I have to unpack anyway and then I'll probably stretch my legs first. Sitting for a long time is not so comfortable for me, "I replied and smiled.
>> I was worried for nothing, you used to be a person who also liked to be alone, << he said and stroked my head again briefly.
A little later we were there.
I hadn't been here for 4 years but everything looked very familiar and almost nothing had changed.
Dad took my bag and set it down next to me.
>> I'm sorry if you bring something in the bag yourself, I have to go immediately, << he said and looked at me guiltily.
>> I can do it, dad. Do you go before you're late, 'I replied and smiled at him.
>> It's really easy with me Natalie <<, he grinned and gave me my key.
"See you later," he said, got into the car and drove off.
I waved to him and when the silver car could no longer be seen, I took my bag and went into the house.
After carrying the bag up the stairs, I went to my room.
It had changed a lot since I was not here.
The floor was covered with an almost white carpet.
The walls were painted a light brown.
In one corner of the room was a bed and next to it in the middle of the wall was a window under which there was a table with a small lamp.
Next to the door was a wardrobe and next to it was a desk with a red chair.
I put my bag on the bed and then sat on the bed.
I looked for a while at the tree that was outside my window.
// Hmm so this is how it looks //
Then I got up from the bed and left the room.
I was glad that I was alone First because I could explore the house in peace and second because I wasn't really keen on Dad taking care of me all the time ..
I walked down the hall to a door that, as I finally saw, was the bathroom.
It wasn't that big, but it was still very nicely decorated, probably by Diana's hand.
I slowly went down the stairs and continued to look around the house.
When I got to the living room I saw some pictures of me hanging on the walls. Many were school photos, but there were also some that were taken privately.
Mom had probably sent it to him.
I turned away from the wall and stood undecided in the room.
after a while I decided to go out and do some exploring.
I took my key and then went out of the house.
When I had walked a few meters I already knew that it was totally different here than at home, the complete opposite.
I went on with my eyes downcast.
I was so in my thoughts that I was only really there again when I ran into something soft.
Irritated, I looked up and saw that I had run into a boy who was about the same age as me.
>> Sorry wasn’t on purpose .. <<, I said, forcing myself to smile while looking at him inconspicuously.
He had slightly longer red-brown hair and green eyes.
He wore a dark blue t-shirt under which his well-trained chest was visible.
He didn't change his face and said: >> Don't worry <<
Then he just kept walking.
// Hmmm, the people here don't think much of politeness either //
It was getting dark and I decided to go back.
When I got home Diana and Dad weren't back.
I unlocked the door and went into the dark house.
I put the key on the chest of drawers by the door and then went up the stairs to my room.
There I turned on the light because it was now completely dark.
Since I couldn't think of anything better to do, I finally started to unpack my bag.
I took my shower things and the stuff that came with them and brought them to the bathroom.
Then I went back to my room and put my clothes in the closet.
I pushed the travel bag under the bed.
Almost at the same moment I heard the door unlocking below.
I sighed and got up.
As I went down the stairs I said hello to Diana and Dad: "Hey"
Dad, who was just taking off his shoes, looked at me briefly and said: >> Well Natalie have you looked around a bit? <<
>> Yes in the house and a little in the area <<, I answered and involuntarily thought of the black-haired boy.
Diana gave me a friendly smile and then went into the kitchen.
>> I'll go upstairs again, I still have a few things to unpack, << I said and pushed a strand of hair behind my ear.
>> I'll call you when the meal is ready << he said and I nodded.
Then he went into the kitchen and a little later I heard him say: >> I'm really hungry <<
When I was back in my room I lay down on the bed and looked at the ceiling.
I thought about the boy from the afternoon again.
// Why was he so rude? I don't understand ... It is normal for someone to bump into you, it wasn't even my intention to do that, but still it was so weird .. //
I closed my eyes and felt anger rise inside me.
How could you be so rude ??I opened my eyes again and sat up straight.
+++++ So that's it for now !!
I'll try to upload the next chapter as soon as possible and until then I hope that you will write me a lot of clerks and tell me how you think about it so far !!
