Fairytales
I meandered through the gaps in the parked cars until I got to the other side. Again I looked around searching.
'Where was it now?'
I finally discovered it as it turned into a small alley. I ran after him and also turned into the alley. It was dark there, but the little light shone my way. At the end of the street you could see the wild traffic and the many crowds again.
"Where are you taking me?" I asked.
The light moved in a circle in front of me and then flew straight ahead. I had to cross a street again, but luckily there was a zebra crossing here. I was now where the little light led me. In front of me was the new bookstore I was looking for.
"Thanks." I said softly.
An old woman standing next to me gave me a strange look and then moved on.
I already knew this look ...
I slowly opened the door and entered the shop with the little blue light. A young woman stood at the reception and greeted me warmly.
"Hello. Nice that you stop by us!", She said with a smile.
"Hello! Yes, I wanted to have a look at a new shop. I already know the others around here by heart." I replied.
The woman grinned.
"Fine. Take a look around. If you need help, let me know."
I nodded and then threw myself into the many corridors with the many books. This place was different from what I have known before ...
There was a huge selection of different spades and tons of books on every topic. Of course, I only wanted to go to one department and hoped that I would find it here. The little light followed me every step of the way. I wasn't alone in the shop. Other people were there too, but apparently they couldn't see my little companion.
I went deep into a secluded corridor. There were rather older books, some of which were also damaged. The shelves were full of them. The little light flew past me and stopped in front of one of the books. I pulled it off the shelf and blew off the dust. A light cloud of dust came up and I had to cough. After calming down, I opened the book. The small blue ball floated above the book.
* The Magic of Wizards * was on the first page. I looked at the light that floated very calmly in front of me.
"Are you a magical being?" I whispered, although I could already guess, but as a precaution I asked again.
The light flew up and down once. That should mean "yes". I was beaming.
"Are you a fairy?" I asked again.
It replied "yes" again. I could not believe it. I really had a fairy in front of me.
"May I see your true form too?"
The fairy now flew on.
"Hey wait!"
I put the book back and followed the light. I was now one corridor further and there was no longer any trace of the fairy. I walked slowly up the hall and looked around carefully.
"Come back. Please!" I whispered.
Suddenly I heard a thud behind me. I was startled and turned around quickly. A book had fallen off one of the shelves.I went to him and picked it up. It was very heavy and also covered with a thick layer of dust. I wiped it off and it turned out to be brown, soft leather. The margins of the book were gold. I opened the book; the pages were made of parchment and already yellowed. The book must have been very, very old.
* The art of magic, textbook for young magicians *, that was the name of the book. I flipped through it and discovered many illustrations and spells written in a different language. I decided to take the book with me. I went back to the front desk, where the young woman was already waiting.
"Well, did you find something?" She asked me.
I nodded and put the book on the table. She grimaced and her forehead frowned slightly.
"Hmm ... weird. I've never seen this book here before," she muttered.
"I would like to buy it. How much should it cost?" I was already rummaging around in my poor wallet.
"I don't know ..." replied the shopkeeper.
"I only have 15 dollars with me ... is that enough?" I held out the money and looked at her begging. She thought for a moment and then smiled at me.
"It's okay. Take it with you."
"Thank you! Bye, have a nice day."
I left the shop overjoyed and went straight home to read the old book as quickly as possible. I had only glimpsed it a few glances, but they were enough to see that the spells were written in a different language. It was the ancient language of the magicians. Since I have already pored over several books about it, I am even able to read this ancient script. I was pretty proud of that.
When I got home, I went straight to my room. I was alone. Mum and Justin were probably out shopping. Dad was working as usual and Jared still had something to do at his apprenticeship. The two of them wouldn't be home until late. I sat down on my bed and opened the book in front of me. This book was written by two magicians. Here they taught you magic. And again I wish I could do magic.
I read each and every spell carefully. For each saying there was the effect and the duration. Some were really funny, e.g. B how to turn someone into an animal or shut someone's mouth.
'That spell would be appropriate on Justin. ', I thought.
Then, near the end of the book, I came across a more complicated spell. He was more difficult than the others and seemed special. I just read the description cursory. It said something like, Fairy of Light, Crystals and Save the World. Unfortunately, my language skills weren't enough for more. Somehow the spell wouldn't let go of me and I tried to recite it.
Of course, I had no hope that anything would happen. As much as I wished."Catuja favorra zerca ferielia ofdenon Lightleah." Was the saying.
As expected, nothing happened, but I said it again anyway. This time I closed my eyes, I had already memorized the saying. I could always remember something like that.
"Catuja liebra zerca ferielia ofdenon Lightleah!"
But then I felt a strange vibration. My bed and all the other furniture wobbled. Was that an earthquake? In New York? I looked around in panic. Suddenly the pages in the book fluttered until it finally closed. And then a bright white light appeared, which spread out into a hole in front of me. I felt a strong wind coming from the hole ... wind ... pulling me in?
"What the hell?" I managed to say.
I got closer and closer to the white light. I tried to hold on to my bed, but then I got distracted. My book was blown up and attracted to the hole.
"No!" I called.
I grabbed the book and let go of the bed ... I was swallowed up by the light.
And so I disappeared and from here an adventure begins, which I would not have imagined in my wildest dreams.
So, something to try out. Unfortunately, this FF will have to wait a little longer, because I also write two other ffs ^^ I am happy about commis =)
