The past of Zorro
Lorenor Zorro was a young boy who lived with his family outside of a small village called Shimotsuki. The Zorro family owned two swords because Lorenor's grandfather was a swordsman. But Lorenor's parents didn't think much of the art of sword fighting, quite the opposite of Lorenor, but his parents didn't want to chase a dream that he couldn't achieve anyway. The young Zorros dream was to become the best swordsman in the world.
In the village, Shimotsuki, there was a dojo where Koshiro, a master in the art of sword fighting, taught children.
One day the young Zorro decides to go to Master Koshiro's dojo to learn the art of sword fighting, but because he knew that his parents would not allow him to do so, he ran away. He only took some clothes and something to eat, plus his grandfather's two swords. On the normal way to the village it took about half a day, but because Zorro had a very bad sense of direction even as a small child, the way to Zorro took two days. On the one hand, that was good because his parents thought, after they noticed that their son was gone, that he wanted to go to Shimotsuki to learn sword fighting there. On the other hand, he didn't have enough food with him and so he learned to nourish himself from nature. When he arrived in the village he ran into the wet restaurant and ordered something to eat. Luckily the owner was a kid friend and gave Zorro the food for free.
Now Zorro was satisfied and went to the dojo. There he made himself known with high-spirited shouts: "I want you to teach me how to sword, Master Koshiro." The master appeared in the door and gave Zorro a friendly laugh. "You want to learn the fine art of sword fighting? Then come in and show me what you can do, so that I know what else I have to teach you."
When they got to the training room, Koshiro waved a student to whom he whispered something. The student ran out of the room. "To test how good you are, you should compete against one of my students." "I will finish off each of your students." "You are very self-confident. That is a good prerequisite for a swordsman. But you shouldn't overestimate yourself." The student who was sent off came back. Followed by a girl. "You will compete against my best student." "I should fight a girl?", Zorro asked incredulously. “You don't need to spare me because I won't spare you.” “Well let's start.” “Then take a bamboo sword for both of you.” The girl took one and Zorro took three. "You fight with three swords?" "So what? I will be the master of the three-sword style." "First you should hit me."
The fight began and the girl rushed on Zorro. Who could just defend himself. After a moment, the fight was decided. Zorro's swords flew through the air and Zorro lay on the ground.
In the afternoon a few students from the dojo came to Zorro and told him that the girl is called Kuina and is the daughter of the master. "Dan is no wonder that she is better than me. She will definitely get extra lessons." Zorro scolded. "We have asked the master that many times, but he always says that Kuina gets exactly the same training as we do," replies one of the students. "That's true too.", Said a voice from behind the boys. Master Koshiro stood behind them. "I just wanted to tell Zorro that he is now one of my students."
The following days passed without anything special happening. Zorro had just started to measure himself against Kuina on a regular basis. Within the first 5 days Zorro had sneaked his own home and lost 50 times to Kuina, but he had also learned a lot about sword fighting.
One day a small tournament was on the agenda. "Zorro has won and is moving into the final," said the referee when the first semi-final fight was over. "Zorro is the best fighter of the time," the other students whispered to one another. “But he can't beat Kuina.” “She's also the best. Kuina is unbeaten.” “Kuina has won.”, The referee suddenly shouted. "The finalists have been determined. Zorro and Kuina will compete against each other." The two finalists stepped forward and got ready. Zorro as usual with three bamboo swords and Kuina with one. The fight began and the two pounced on each other. Zorro was a little faster and hit the ground first. Kuina defended himself and hit back. Then Zorro defended himself and struck back. It repeated a few times until Kuina was able to launch a series of attacks. She knocked the swords out of Zorro's hands and also out of her mouth. He was disarmed and so he lost the fight. "That was the 51st defeat.", Said Kuina as Zorro slumped to the floor. The referee announced that the fight was over and Kuina had won.
In the evening Zorro had withdrawn by the small stream behind the dojo. He had lost again to Kuina. "Why are you hiding here?" Asked a voice behind Zorro. Zorro winced and turned around. Master Koshiro stood behind him. "I'm not hiding.", Lorenor replies annoyed. "Then excuse me for saying that. But why don't you have dinner together?" "I'm not hungry." Was his brief answer. “You lost to Kuina for the 51st time today and you're stinking now. Am I right?” “No, I lost to her for the 60th time today.” “But it was the 51st at the tournament, wasn't it?” “Yes, we did have fought more often today. "" Oh. And now you're disappointed in yourself because you keep losing to a girl. "The master had said exactly what Zorro didn't even want to think. He didn't answer and just started on the stream. "I'll tell you something.", The master continued. “You want to master the art of the three sword style, don't you?” Zorro nodded in agreement and Koshiro continued: “If you want to master the art properly, you have to strengthen your body and mind.” “How should I strengthen my mind?” “By learning that a sword also has a soul.” “Well, somehow I'll manage that. But how should I train my body here?” “I've already come up with something. Come with me.” They went in A little bit up the brook and there Zorro saw that a rock was blocking the brook. “The rock you see there is for training.” “Should I try to lift it up?” “Yes, but not with my hands.” “What else?” “With your mouth. You don't just have to train your arms but also your mouth. "" I understand. ", answered Zorro. They went a little further and then came to a tree where there were two rocks and a self-made dumbbell. The rocks were tied to ropes hanging over a branch and the dumbbell was actually just a small branch to which two stone weights of the same size were attached. "You should pull up the two rocks alternately with your hands while the dumbbell echoed in your mouth." Zorro was totally enthusiastic and wanted to start training right away, but Koshiro didn't read him. He said it was already too late and he should take a good rest first.
The following days Zorro trained on the rocks. However, he did not give up an opportunity to compete with Kuina.
After another 5 days Zorro had gotten much better, but he still had no chance against Kuina. He had lost to her 220 times in total. His training was getting harder. Because Zorro wanted to be better than Kuina. He also got better and better, but Kuina also trained hard to make her dream come true.
One day Zorro asked Kuina: "What is your dream who you train so hard?" "I want to become the best swordsman in the world." "That is also my dream."
Both continued to train to make their dream come true. However, it was also clear to them that at some point they would really have to fight for this title.
One day there was another small tournament and Kuina and Zorro were the finalists. They competed against each other in the final and gave nothing to each other. The fight was over after a few minutes. Zorro had lost his swords and fell to the ground. "Now it's 0 in 2000," said Kuina triumphantly.
In the evening Kuina was walking through the corridors of the dojo when she heard her father's voice: "Yes, you are right. One day Kuina will not fight the boys anymore." Kuina yanked the door open and glared at her father. “So you think I can't make it?” “Kuina wait.” Kuina ran, she ran until she got to Zorro. She was crying and Zorro just asked: “What's wrong?” He interrupted his training to go to Kuina. She looked at him and said. "Let's fight." "Good, but right this time. Not with bamboo swords but with real swords."
Zorro quickly got his two swords and Kuina got her sword. She had got the sword that Kuina owned from her father and it was one of the 21 king swords, the Wado-Ichi-Monji.
The two met to fight on the mountain near the dojo. Zorro was ready and held the sword ready to strike. Kuina also got ready and started the fight. She lunged at Zorro and tried to knock the swords out of his hand. Zorro parried each of her blows and hit back.
It was deep night when the fight was decided. Kuina managed to throw Zorro to the ground and slammed her sword into the ground close to his head. "Victory number 2001." said Kuina, relieved. She was glad she won. With this fight she wanted to prove to herself that her father was wrong, but deep in her heart she knew that he was right and that one day he would be smarter than Zorro. Zorro lay on the floor and howled. He had lost to Kuina for the 2001 time.
They went back to the dojo and there Zorro said: “One day I will defeat you and the number one swordsman.” “You are good you are a boy. I would also like to be number one.” “Why do you say that what Kuina? "" That's really easy. I'm a girl and I will never be able to become as strong as you will eventually be. "" Oh nonsense. Promise me one thing. If I don't become number one, you have to be. ", Zorro tried to cheer Kuina. Kuina looked at Zorro. Tears still glittered in her eyes. She held out her hand and said, “Good, I promise.” Zorro struck and thus the promise was made.
On the wet day, Zorro was training again, while three other students came to him with a depressed
